  • If it didn't work for xbox, it won't work for PC.

  • love it Do you have source code for this application

  • Quuuuite slow response. i rather stay "oldschool" with mouse and keyboard.

  • Still prefer my mouse and keyboard much more accurate.

  • Games are the last thing I would want to use this sort of technology for, but I can see it being useful for other things once they refine it.

  • look familiar anyone? Sneeze* Kinect*...

    bless you

  • cool music lol :D

  • how to download

  • sorry, this is the WORST idea since the powerglove

  • Haven been several years since they said would be for sale still no news and their website doesnt even update that much with new news. about when availabe.

  • Ugh, no

  • These are the people I own with my keyboard and mouse. Then they show the Mgestyk the middle finger to exit the game.

  • lame

  • dude that would be so annoying to use

  • @emys0 exactly

  • hot i like the video, real sexy

  • @GACXVI

No just give it the middle finger LMAO!

  • joke or not;; some arrogant twats aren't open for new technology

  • @Brandog132

The technology is interesting and it reminds me of the Microsoft project Natal but I don't think people are going to be happy with having to hold your hands in front of a camera for a extended period of time just to interact with the computer.

  • lol how is he walking in Crysis?

  • to all you people who say this is fake: did you even try the link that was posted through out the entire video? Stop saying stupid shit without researching.

  • reminds me of minority report.

  • this is just a joke guys.

  • @rampart23 Ha,ha... Are you GAY?

  • that control delay is just not acceptable for gaming, hell i quit servers that have lag like that.

  • this is the same with project natal but project natal can do more

  • TBaby you are a baby... Natal looks like Mgestyk and can do more only in your dreams.

  • This actually looks more believable than pixel-perfect Natal vaporware

  • this will suck for gaming, yeah, you could do simple things, but no way you could jump, turn arround, switch your weapon and secondary fire someone as fast as you can on your pc/console. take a regular FPS and you'll see that it has got over 20 keybindings which are cruical to your gameplay, i really don't know how they think to implement that in your L shaped fingers :S

  • uh.. aim to the Sides... Duh

  • how do i know there isn't another person using the keyboard

  • Starfire

  • This has many flaws.

How in the hell would you do advanced things (pressing small buttons and such) with just your hands on flight simulator?

It's like playing a game, but with only two analog sticks.

  • playing cod on this thing will be awesome....well...kinda...

  • just when i thought Natal couldnt get more retarded... this shit pops up.

  • oh common... innovative... SURE. but i would prefer playing games like cars. simulations and FPS with wheell or guns or just a controller.. after all this just a video game.

  • cool idea but some things (i.e. the steering wheel) would get pretty tiring pretty quickly

  • Cool!

  • Nice!

  • Check out Project Natal, very similar but far more advanced technology. Showcased at E3 a day ago.

  • Natal hasn't been demonstrated live, it's by Microsoft and it's a little adventurous...I'm betting it doesn't work and wont for a long time!

  • what the hell are you talking about huh? you really sound stupid. It was demonstrated live. What do you think that chinese girl was doing, kicking punching just for the attention

  • I'm not trying to sound rude or offensive or anything, but you really can't judge something if it hasn't been demonstrated yet.. It's alright that you're entitled to your own opinion, and I absolutely agree, but that doesn't mean you should assume it won't work.

  • Maybe not but the odds ARE stacked in favor of my argument. It's a machine that they refuse to demonstrate in a real-life situation even though they say "this is ready NOW" and let's face it, it's by Microsoft, the few things that they have got right took them many attempts.

  • Yeah, I see what you mean. It does look too good to be true. But I was watching the E3 2009 Microsoft Press Conference and they demonstrated Natal live.. the only proof we need is from an actual live audience.

  • I'll be happy when I see it work in someone's living room without having to spend hours reconfiguring it for every player.

  • Ign and other game reporters used it in a custom game of Burnout Paradise and said it worked amazingly. Foot petals, steering, gear shifting...

  • its the same thing ms bought out this company

  • Also, I don't remember insulting you in anyway, just voicing an opinion so why so defensive? For a guy who has only been a youTuber since Natal was released and have only one video you sure are touchy!!

  • Natal don't have finger motion

  • Yes it does. They just couldn't demo it on stage at E3.

  • Oh, how do you move backword and strafe in a FPS?

  • looks very unresponsive. show me again in 5 years.

  • Why? this seems clunky and annoying, compared to a keyboard and mouse.

  • Sweet i'll buy a surgeon game if it ever comes out

  • i think this technology would be great if the respond time is fixed and perfected but i dont think i wanna be holding my hands up all the time cos it looks abit too punishing.

  • lol yh dat would immediately restart your computer

  • Aff, que graça tem jogar sem o volante???

fica parecendo um retardado dando tchau pro computador

  • why playing a flight sim without joypad?? just air..

why playing racing games without wheel? thats so gay sorry.. nobody needs that.

it would be nicer to have a gun made of plastik und you can aim on the screen. oh my god... such an easy thing but nobody invents it ......

  • it already exists -.-

  • oh good...now it will only take 2 AND A HALF HOURS to get to the album you want to listen to.

  • This is incredible, i am willing to bet the people below me are honestly such fatasses they are too lazy to lift their hands

  • lame.. they're taking a dump on the halo franchise and fan base if they think we'll play it like that.

  • Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed XDD

  • ehhh agora tenta joga dota nissae

    =x

  • which is the music played at first(0:000:25).

please give me the link or the name of it.

  • For me, this looks very awesome!

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalooooooooooooo

  • LOL. . .

  • The only real question now is; Can you use any modern web-cam? Or must it be their own?

  • As in any new technology, there are still many things requiring much work done, and the delays are obviously Mgestyk's top priority issue which they are working hard on. You can expect them to find a solution to this issue sooner or later.

  • naa mucho esfuerzo, es mejor solo mover un dedo con el mouse

  • Looks great, just not liking the delay. When they find out how to avoid that, i'm in

  • it is amazing. how cool it is!

  • la leche, me entran agujetas solo de verlo.

  • Puxa!!!

    Confortável hein!!!

Trabalhar das 8:00 até as 18:00 horas desse jeito todo os dias, vou ter LER em 3 dias...

  • This has the potential to be really good. The lag is BAAAAAD right now but once it gets better...!!! It could be very sext

  • thats cool but i lost my arms on narm

    jk lol

  • to lazy for that shiet

  • everybody dont got hands...

  • The control delay is to great to be ignored.

But this is a step forward nonetheless.

  • the ping is way too high

  • ok, everybody knows it from the guru Mr. Jobs aka Mr. iphone ;) Its pretty cool to use it for mobiles and handhelds, but can anybody tell me how i should work in my job about 8h/Day by holding the hands like this? i think its also not easy to use for racing/flying games... hm nice feature but it will not replace the mouse&keys soon i think

    greets

  • rofl.. halo 1

  • that's some cool shieeet

  • cool! I'd want one of those! :D

  • I really want apple to develop this technology

  • Lag Lag Lag, completely useless!!

  • Lag in crysis lol

  • OMFG.!!! :O

  • This is an amazing concept.

I did notice a split second delay, but other than that this is amazing!

  • cool mate good vid ;)

  • wow

  • but u kno ur hands well get num i think

  • coooooool

  • kupuje to

  • Tienen que mejorar el tiempo de respuesta.

  • 1st driving like that is dumbass technology i rather buy a steering wheel to have better experience

  • Hilarious that so many people are criticising this for lag/no practical use. New technology always starts out simple and improves form there. Do you people honestly expect something new to come out and be perfect on day one?

  • Think of the first time you used a touch screen, remember how you had to push really hard on those soft screens and the cursor was so inaccurate, not to mention the crappy lag times. Now look at something like the iPhone or the trackpad on your laptop. I think this technology has heaps of potential and certainly for gaming it could work, just needs more research and innovation...

It's the future man! We just need force-feedback and haptics and games will never be the same!

  • блин лажа какая та

с такой задержкой ответной реакции заколебешься

    да и руками махать заебышно

  • watch?v=eayCTNwxVP0

  • More girl, she appearing cute.

  • horrible response time:(

  • Very nice, this will become much more useful when computers will be without screen and with 3d hologram.

  • lol what i found to be funny in this video is that they have made technology that allows the use of human hands as controllers but they still don't have the technology to run Crysis in a normal rate of frames per second. just look at 0:46.

  • Excellent idea, however in FPS games its all about speed and precision, and here there is a huge lag. You would not get a single kill in CS:S with this device.

  • great idea,

try to use other fingers other than the thrum and first finger

  • Wow driving a car without holding anything in my hands would feel REALLY stupid. Cool idea though, definitely could be improved.

  • It looks like the technology has a LOT of potential, but they first need to improve the lag between hand motion and response by the system after that is accomplished, then they should be able to do some incredible things.

  • it's at least a start, but needs vast improvements

  • si e per scrivere??? e poi secondo me ino dopo un po si stanca di muovere sempre le mani....

  • Thas quite a delay on the driving game control!

  • HOW DO I SHOT WEB?

  • большой лаг, да и жесты неестественные, проще надо...

  • If you swat at a mosquito on your arm, it could break your monitor.

  • which is the music played at 2:55. please give me the link or the name of it

  • evilshreyas, its the "Mission Impossible" theme song.

  • Thanks a lot for the reply mate.

  • wii controllers sux, but this makes wii controllers god

  • руки устанут через 10 мин без опоры

  • неудобно же

  • a lot better than win vista 7... jajajaja

  • Looks to slow. There is a lag between the movement and the computer's response. Also... how sensitive is the thing? It looked like that lady had to really stretch her arm out to move those cds. It would have probably have been easier for her to just use the mouse.

This is a cool idea but if it doesn't make using computers easier, then its not really that great.

  • This DOES NOT beat a mouse in gaming, try holding your arms out for 20 minutes, your arms will start feeling really heavy, dont believe me try it. With a mouse your just using your fingers and wrist, waving your arms around requires more energy. Looks cool but thats all.

  • Another video clip of somebody moving their hand to a video of somebody else playing a video game. Am I supposed to be impressed or something?

  • Skeptical much?

  • Viable for games....maybe one day but forget this technology for a while. Nothing will beat the reaction time of a WASD and mouse setup.

  • That isn't fake. It's just a special new technology for the next generation. Great Work...

  • Don´t think that this is really comfortable.

Useful for some apps, a nice addon.

But for gaming? Don´t think so...

  • pinoy ba kayo?

  • If you were wearing a small device that could read your hand & finger motions, you could rest your arms and hands wherever you want.

Check out the 2008 Best of Innovations at CES in Electronic Gaming. That is the future of human computer interfacing.

  • it would take way to long to even grasp how to use it for each application. Also, the concept it just impratical anyway

  • The tech is slightly off, but getting closer. Something to make it more precise would be to have solid black gloves with reflective dots on them...like they use for motion capture. A camera watching those precise dots wouldn't take so long to read.

  • imprecise and arcaic , wake me up when Vr is on the market not before

  • NFS porsche FTW!

  • Camspace is more responsive.

  • would seem that it's a bit slow on reacting...

it would be a very good companion to the mouse and keyboard tbh, like automatically putting you on AFK mode on msn/ventrilo/games when you get up and leave your chair :P

  • fake

  • Wow... people can't seem to grasp the fact that it's the fundamental concept, not the technology, that's flawed here. Even if it worked perfectly with instantaneous response, the whole system is too tiring, inefficient, and imprecise for practical use with 99% of the applications people here seem to have in mind, and 100% of the ones they listed.

It's remained science fiction because it's completely impractical, not because it's difficult to do. It's only useful for looking cool for 5 mins.

  • yea no kidding.. if anything they will have to look around to find a problem this will solve, an application that it would be useful for. All the applications they are demoing it for would not be helped by this interface. Maybe the wii where one of the "selling points" is the "exercise".

  • If you have your media (such as dvd's, audio, etc) stored on your computer, this tech would be awesome with a home theater pc.

Example: While laying on your couch, load up Windows Media Center, raise up your hand, flipped it to the left or right a few times, select a dvd.

It would be badass for that, but unless they clean it up a lot, it's still a nogo. People want *engaging* technology, not frustrating technology.

If it's engaging/fun and wellworking, people will find a use for it.

  • Yeah, there's no way this is replacing my my keyboard and mouse, maybe in something like Flight Simulator this would be okay but there's no way in hell you could play a fast-paced FPS game with this tripe.

  • Try playing a FPS game with that. The mouse is no where near being replaced.

  • awesome but you gotta work on the lag... if it was instant it will be something to behold...

might be frame rate of the camera or CPU.. hard to tell!

  • Yes, but how do I fap to porn when I need both hands for the controls?

  • Your arms would get tired as shit playing Crysis like that.

  • This would be great in combination with accurate voice recognition software. The only way it would be a fun experience for gaming would be if it could translate gestures without delay and would probably need more than one camera for more robust controls. But it seems it would be difficult to control 2d space from 3d space in the sense that you would have to have a gesture for walking and running forward and backwards while being able to shoot, jump, crouch all at the same time.

  • The way they shoot in halo would get really painful really fast, why can't you use your trigger finger?

  • Really cool for web browsing and a media pc, but it will never replace a keyboard and mouse for gaming or office use

  • lmao are you kidding me? Office use maybe, but gaming? I think this coupled with something like using the reverse method of a Wiimote so that when you tilt/move your head the screen moves around accordingly, this will be great at immersing people even more in games. There is absolutely no reason why this can't be used in conjunction with hand controllers as well as foot pedals -- bring it on, can't wait :D

  • Maybe for certain games, like platformers or puzzles, I have to say I loved the look of Guitar Hero with this technology. But there's no way this will be replacing a mouse in first person shooters any time soon, and why should it? It's a cool new tech that can have some brilliant uses, fps games just ins't going to be one

  • that is awesome

  • i dunno, other than looking different, it doesn't seem to beat a K/M

  • How about hooking this into a media center PC in the living room so you don't need a wireless keyboard/mouse. That would be handy.

  • HANDy? nice

  • Or you could use a remote...

  • I use the ATI Remote Wonder on mine and I really dislike the tracking of the little analog button. The direct tracking of a mouse is unbeatable for accessing small(ish) items on a desktop. If this offers the same direct tracking, then it would be an improvement over the remote. Now that I think about it, a Wii-Mote would be cool too.

  • People! Get over the fact that they are using this technology to control existing user interfaces. And get over the delay, speed will come. They said the same about the mouse when it first came out. Multi-touch concepts enable so many *new* things that you may well wonder (as we do now with the mouse) how you ever got along without it. The comedy is at the beginning when they throw the keyboard. This won't replace the keyboard for a long time. The mouse, maybe. I love my iGesture!

  • I think this could easily be the norm for cursor based activities on home computers, you can never replace the keyboard though for productivity tasks. I'd love it for gaming/media though :)

  • About the only appropriate context I can see this used in would be a presentation lecture. But I'd want to be able to tell the thing when to pay attention to me somehow, so it wasn't always active. Perhaps a voice-activation keyword would do. That way, the presenter could use broad gestures so that the audience could follow, and have the screen respond accordingly. But definitely not for games.

  • It's not like this hasn't been done before, but there's a REASON it never took off. It's a solution to non-existent problem! It's not like these people don't know either, which really makes me wonder what they're thinking. It's tiring and pointless controlling things with your arms in the air, when there are much more efficient and effective methods that are already well established. Once you get past the novelty after 5 minutes, you start wondering "why do I have to do this?".

  • It's not really *for* gaming. *sigh*....idiots.

  • All right, so what is it for?

  • im a lazy person ill stick with keyboard and mouse using my hands to do all that is too much work and i would get tired

  • Is a great concept but is very very uncomfortable. An if you play fast that requires a fast reaction speed you cannot play it. As you can see in the video there is 0.5 to 1 sec response and that's a lot. I know will be better in the future but it will still be uncomfortable to stay with your hands in the middle of the air for hours. And i usually play rpg (WoW, Oblivion) and I cannot see how you can play these games good using this method. I will say is good for office but not for games.

  • I dont like to stand around pretending im holding a gun or something... eithar way... its stupid mouse and keyboard all the way

  • Guess they'll have it brain controlled next. They are already experimenting with that, and they actually moved the pointer by amplifying brain signals. Cool, isn't it?

  • I don't want my PC to turn into a Wii. Gheyest shit evarr.

  • Omg its teh shit!

  • Snap! Wicked kewl!

  • It's neat but it's obvious that it can;t be used for serious gaming control. The precision just isn't there yet. But it's an interesting look into the future.

  • its really awesome. I like this.......

  • I see no point of getting this for real gaming. I would maybe get this if it's 50$, but only for point and click adventure game.

  • I'll stick with the mouse. I see no point in replacing it.

  • Nice idea, but impractical. I would get tired with my hand in the air so long. It also looked slow, I could do it faster with a mouse whip.

  • Looks too tiring to replace the mouse. And you have to learn a whole bunch of gestures like you're talking to a deaf person.

  • Until I saw the point and click interface I was a bit meh. This thing looks great. do want!

  • Mouse is way better than this, how the hell can you do this without getting tired hands after 30mins.
