@kernelmilkshake that's hilarious because the muzzle flashes are real, and we won "Best Special Effects" at the Action On Film Festival for choosing NOT to use any digital fx. A bit overdone, sure, I can agree with that. The acrobatic twins were too over-the-top. I would tone them down if I were to shoot it again. The rest of it was intentional because we were homaging John Woo's style. Thanks for the feedback.
that was awesome. i especially dug the hard boiled-referrence at the end and the overkill performed on the first twin. but why do i think it's ironic that a short movie called "heroic bloodshed" actually takes place in a huge-ass shed? :D it kinda cracks me up.
anyway: would love to see more stuff like that from you.
@jruwing87 thanks a lot! This is the only gunfight we've done so far but feel free to check out the rest of the videos on our channel and on the eospictures channel if you want to see more. All the best!
@SlowItDownTributes actually I wouldn't know. Daniel and Simon on our team are fully licensed, have an arsenal of weapons between them and worked as the gun wranglers / stunt co-ordinators on the shoot. They have their own sources for blanks and they handled everything for me. You really need to have a professional on board who can take care of all that stuff for you.
@SlowItDownTributes no sir, there is not a single digital effect in the film except for one shot where we removed the jerk line from Casey's back when she was blown away by the shotgun. All if the guns were firing real blanks and all of the environmental squibs were done with a simple air compressor, sawdust and hay. That's why we won "best special effects" at the 2009 Action On Film Festival! You just can't fake the real thing :) -- Tyler Williams (Director)
You guys should make a full-length feature film. Something along the same lines, since you're so good with action type stuff, but just longer with more awesome moments!
im very suprised that this has only 1'000 views, i found myself leaning forward to see what happens =P. really good.

That was amazing. Seriously. Loved the bullet-dodging acrobatics, and how the main villain and the hero stop mid-gunfight to reload!
