This feature was lacking for SO long in Windows, and is one of the reasons I switched to Ubuntu which does have this feature via Windows + Mouse wheel to zoom.

To late tho, already made the switch to Ubuntu.

that doesn't make it more like OSX at all, it just means there is a feature like it also in OSX.
