In his 90 seconds of allotted time he was able to get more of a solid message across than any of the media darling politicians. If you want to know how he plans to do it, do some research. You obviously have the internet, there's plenty of information out there. Gravel is one of the only ones who really thinks about our soldiers as people and not just expendable commodities.

Blame for the Iraqi war, or any one of the many, many wars and interventions we've involved ourselves in cannot fall exclusively on either party - it is a staple of american foreign policy since WWII. Despite popular belief, the Democrats have historically been much more hawkish than the republicans. It was the democrats who dropped the A-bomb on Japan, Democrats who started the Vietnam war, and the Democrats (Clinton) who got involved in the Kosovo conflict.

Up until a few moments I thought I would feel guilty if we left Iraq. Just like Viet Nam. As a vetern I would feel ashamed. But I have come to the point that this is not a war and never was. This was President Bush's agenda and for what ever reason. Pick one. He should feel ashamed along with those who voted for him. I DID NOT!!!! Soldiers do their duty to God and Country. I will do this to my death. mmmmm I am a soldier. No one has twisted my arm, I join on my own free will. Take that in perspective and in 5 years we have lost 3,000 pluss SOLDIERS.
