Brady took bear hug tackle vs Jets. I noticed they did not hit him decking Brady with shoulder pads. Very strange. It seemed like Jets defensive players made sure they were not going to hit Brady too hard. League is getting soft. If Jets players were barred from even tackle Brady late then Jets would lose. Goodell's new rules suck. League favors Colts and Patriots. WRs are way over protected. QBs are way over protected. League is anti-defense. If defensive player hits Brady or Brees late its a flag and fine. There some QBs that are still real and not protected and get hit late such as Big Ben,Vick,McNabb. Not fair to the few real QBs.Eagles Coach Andy Reid said some QBs are favored over other QBs.Conspiracy in NFL

It use to be 3 steps away from QB and you could hit him. Now even if your inch away from one of protected QBs like Brees its illegal. NFL is getting soft. @skywalker71903 this is true, the NFL is getting really soft; and while player safety should be upheld, we don't need guys getting murdered out there. If there were no improvements it would still be leather helmet no facemask or pads football. The fact is, that's kinda dangerous. Brett Favre was definitely a protected quarterback in his last couple years. In the NFC Championship against the Saints they Saints were called for roughing the passer numerous times.

I remember Favre got hit late like 10 times vs Patriots that definitely would of been flag if it was Brady.Then Tavarus Jackson took over. Even Manning and even that fake Brady got hit late vs Jets in playoffs. Seems like they will protect when they feel like it. But I noticed it was always Bear hug tackle not nailing with pads vs Brady.

I understand that there trying to protect themselves, but what if Peyton Hillis runs over some small Corner or Safety? They get injured in the same way and it's no big deal?
