  • What rei and ryu was looking for was in eden all along. But sadly they had to fight Teepo. DOESN'T THIS BEAT ALL!

  • Most epic way to do this fight.... turn into Ultimate Kaiser with other party members dead and have a 1v1 duel to see who's the strongest dragon! (hint: twin focus+ shadowwalk = 2.5k dmg per whack easily =D

  • @bakrurper me too!! kaiser then super combo and weretiger. Ryu dies, 2 members try to resurrect him, give him wisdom fruit, rei and garr dies, 1v1 duel using human ryu...after 1 turn use hourglass, wisdom fruit, resurrect 2 members, transform into tiamat. then fight the D. Lord till you defeat him... also kaiser and super combo is 2k+ damage too. lol

  • @ColdCypher Shut up. I don't want people being assholes for no reason on the videos I post. Get lost.

  • With a few touchups to the gameplay and storyline (more happening, but not altering where and why you're doing what you're doing) and an updated engine, this would make an excellent remake.

  • @Kerze I'd play that shit. I like the sprites though that 3-d BOF sucked the big one I dont remember wat it was called

  • @StuffedClams I think your talking about dragon quarter, it was indeed a bad $4 investment.

  • @becongeneral dragons quarter worse bof ever made. game was shit and boring to me

  • Anyone else think this ryu (not sf ryu) should've got in marvel vs capcom 3?, all his dragon forms would make him unstoppable, guess ryu's too powerful for his own good :P.

  • Should have been a duel between Ryu and Teepo, Kaiser vs Lord

  • @Rouenne Kaiser is german for pretty much lord/king.

  • @Kerze emperor as far as i know, i use that name a lot too

  • This should have been a duel between Ryu and Teepo with Rei watching.

  • such a sad ending to a great friendship... teepo, rei, ryu... I dont think they deserved what happened to them. I was so sad when I found teepo imprisoned and brainwashed by that bitch the goddess...

  • @thirdartist22

Funny thing about it is...after I defeated her, i felt sorry for HER too. I mean, what she did was screwed up, but she truthfully felt she was doing the right thing.

BOF3 was a great game. You don't need some epic save the world plot to make a great story. The game itself was nothing really spectacular, but it's still on the very top of my list of favorite games. It was just kind of special.

  • @RemiusTheAwesome uhh not to burst you bubble, but Teepo is a guy. I got confused about his gender when I first played it.

  • @MalusxHDKx

Oh, no im fully aware he was a guy. I was talking about Myria.

  • Teepo: This is it! I will not let you go further, if you´re not gonna give up your powers...i guess i´ll have to take them by force, even if it means to kill you!

    Ryu: .....

    Rei: Bring it on, pal!

    Teepo: Hmph! ........UwRAAAAAAAA!!!

  • I opened this up as a link from google, 2 tabs opened accidentally, but they started playing at a perfectly separate time, that the tracks overlapped so perfectly it was better than the original XD

  • Dragon Quarter was an interesting game. I wasn't overly fond of its style, however it was kind of neat. Sadly Capcom has no plans of making another BoF, in good news Camelot has shown interesting in doing a BoF, and if anyone could do it justice it would be them.

  • @ageant01

Sadly capcom has no interest in doing a lot of things anymore (new dmc is another massive example) guess that explains why a lot of important members left, crapcoms really screwing things up, cancelling mm legends was also a big mistake and resident evil is just a shoot em up now, they're a far cry from what they used to be which is sad.

  • @wesker100000000 From a business point of view, cancelling MMK3 wasn't a mistake. Nobody was going to buy it. As a fan of the series I think it's sad, as a Capcom supporter I can understand and forgive. In the end, it is just one game.

  • @wesker100000000 I also don't think DMC is going to be bad. I like origin stories, and I don't think Young Dante's design is ugly. I am personally waiting to feel how the game plays and how the story goes, before calling it out. I am quite saddened that some fellow gamers seem to be allergic to change in a game series.

Please refrain from calling Capcom "Crapcom", it is really crass trolling and it doesn't help anything. I am still one of Capcom's supporter, for their past and present games.

  • @ILOVETODANCELOL Correct attitude good ser, Only actions speak louder then words, I always buy games with bad reviews and reputations Used at Gamestop to see if what was said about it was right or just whiners whining, If it sucks to me I return it get my money back if not then I keep it either way I win and I'm not like those idiots who miss out on great things because they let other's talk them out of it or are just to prideful.

  • Alright, enoug drama.

  • In my opinion, i think this music should have been the final boss music. What do yall think guys?

  • Breath of Fire 3 - RPG genre monument. One of the best RPGs ever made.

  • This game will forever be one of my most favorite RPG's. I still have an original PS1 copy of this and BoF4...

  • That was a hard fight...that and that monster you got a fake ID card from in one of the rooms ( I got game overs off that thing, killing two comrades and parylazing the last DX)

I feel sorry for teepo, though. He chose to stay in jail by Myria or something, and ended up being killed by his own friends' hands. God, that's a way to go....

  • @TheHikariOne Heh, doesn´t that just beat all?

  • I agree this shoulda been 1v1, then most people who weren't very overleveled/powered would get owned though and Teepo would be harder than The Goddess Myria which wouldn't make sense. Oh well.

  • @operations1000

They should've made it a fight with Ryu and Rei only.

  • I seriously love this song, thanks for putting it up! teepo is my fav, rei is my bff's "husband" anyways, thanks. i favorite.

  • You're welcome.

  • teepo was a really hard boss :> but with a bit of luck is nothing impossible :D

  • @Ven922 abusing kaiser works well here...and maybe weretiger XD and level to around 30s you'll do fine :3

  • It's a shame that Teepo had to die. It would have been awesome to kick ass with the trio as adults. Teepo was my favorite character, too. I loved going around kicking random people and getting 2 zenny for it.

RIP Teepo, you will be missed.

  • Enganging an old friend, that suddently disappeared and getting clear that he was trapped all the years in this small room, alone. And not just that, you also have to fight him D:

This theme represents all that perfectly, so calm and sad, but also superior.

Teepo is such a sas caharcter D:

A Tear shed, for the Character most epic in the Game.

  • i don't think he was trapped in Eden the whole time, it must've been at least a little while before he went there, or else he wouldn't be so powerful. i also with you got to have a 1v1 fight with him in human form using ryu or rei, or 2-on-1 with both of them. would've been badass. ot at least they could've let teepo transform back and forth like ryu.

  • @ Rabengesang; couldn't have said it better man.

Very good and fitting theme for this fight

  • This battle was easy for me, I was just so lucky that the 1/504 chance came my way when getting the spirit ring in the casino.

  • 0:56-1:01 my favorite part

  • Seriously, too many final bosses are all generic and like nearly 100% or so. But not Myria...

People like her were supposed to particularly be the good kind of Angel or God/Goddess everyone is supposed to Love... While Dragons are supposed to be like Demons...

I love Anti-Hero and Anti-Villian themes. So underrated... That's the true reason why Knuckle's from Sonic for example is so cool. In Adventure, you get to realize this whole time he's trying to save the whole world his way. :)

  • And his songs are so awesome and funny. XD

"She messing with my Emeralds?! She's messing with the wrong guy!"

    "Echidona! That's what I'm representing!"

"Yeah, she's sexy and smooth, I'm feeling her in mysterious ways."

"You can call me Knuckles', Unlike Sonic I don't Chuckle. I'd rather flex my Muscles."

It's so funny. XD I love characters like Rudy Roughnite, Ryu, Rue, Mint (Her too from Threads of Fate), BlackRose (Kind of...), Kite, Haseo, Tsukasa, Yuri, Ashley Winchester, etc... Love them.

  • Such a good plot, such a good hero

  • ryu's a silent protagonist. unless you mean gameplay-wise he's a good hero, in which case, yeah, he kicks unbelievable amounts of ass.

  • Teepo rocks!!!

    My favorite character in BOFIII

  • Teepo > Ryu

  • NOOOOOOOOO TEEPO!

  • Best RPG story, best RPG character

  • Teepo was one of the best characters! ^_~

  • This song was better than the final boss song.

  • I don't really know... This track conveys a feeling of depression, the feeling that you don't really want to fight your friend, but that you have to if you want to survive. 0:11 to 0:33 is also pretty nostalgic. It's the perfect track for this battle, a battle you don't want to fight, but that you have to win.

  • On the other hand, the last battle theme is a much more threatening, yet catchy track. It reflects pretty well Myria's mad antics, and her aggressiveness toward your party. She considers them as her children, but also as enemies : they don't want her protection any more, driving her to craziness. Myria is obsessed by the fate of the planet, and forgot what was really important in life. The song reflects that : a crazed, lost person trying to protect what she loves in the most wrong way possible.

  • Wow you just brought this game back to me like a bucket of cold water. Music helped too ^_^ Yes the Mother seeing her children as enemies....this was a bizarre twist and I recall being quit affected. Fantastic game.

  • I really think Myria and Deis (Bleu) became more mature in this one compared to the others though they still need some work.

Myria was just concerned about the dragon's powers and I think humans starting wars. She feared the dragons, the Brood's power the most and wanted to wipe them out for existence.

She was too over-protective too. In the end, I don't think Myria is that bad. I's nice having a final boss that's not completely evil. That's one reason why this is my favorite game.

  • I'm not even sure if Myria was the being that created the world and stuff. She probably didn't even create the dragons. Deis (Bleu) is a Goddess and there's also that one dragon god, kind of like Dragon Quest (Warrior) with a Goddess and some Zenithian Dragon God.

Sadly, I suppose Myria is considered to be evil, to whatever extent. It may even be noted that I is the first game chronologically and that she's Nina's sister Elina despite asking Cray to kill her.

  • Some guy named Yuna tried to create her into a Ender. It made her look some awful evil mutated creature... It's sad...

A much as I want to hate guys like Yuna and Hojo, the only villain I literally hate is Cross from Radiata Stories. He just annoys me...

  • try final fantasy 12. the bad guy there is sort of an anti-hero himself. the main characters conflict with him isn't so much related to his primary goal, freeing mankind from the gods, but they're opposed to his empire's conquest of other countries. ultimately what he does is for the greater good, but his ruthless approach is what makes him the bad guy.

  • Yeah, FFXII is a good RPG.

  • And put some pants on, god damn it.

  • I don't wunna.... shorts are better! I still enjoy both tracks very much. I'm pretty much a fan of the entire OST to be honest. In my opinion this game had a MUCH stronger sound track than any Final Fantasy game... that is until they do a completely remastered version of FF6. Which I doubt very much. :(

  • I LOVE THIS GAME !!!!

i think 1 of the best rpgs ever^^

  • this was the most horrible battle to fight for me. I hated fighting Teepo, he was my favorite character. I finally new why they had teepo with you alot. Only if Teepo didnt join Maria....

  • well, teepo wasnt with you that much.. after you get seperated from him, do you see him again? oh, and shes called myria not maria ;)

  • Yeah, Teepo was in the team only in the beginning... But I too think he's kickass. And I gotta say that fighting him and hearing what he said made me feel down a little.

  • well i dont like teepo too much ^^ i think rei and garr are much cooler, but i guess everyone has different opinions ^^

  • escpecially at the very beggining of the game Teepo says that ryu is nothing. But myria does have a soft spot for him

  • So, I guess Rei's reaction did'n't help you feel much better, eh? "Ha ha ha... Doesn't this just beat all?". Just when we needed hear his stupid catchphrase again... that's messed-up.

  • wait did rei said that wen teepo said he just wanted to b w his family? if so, my brother told me that rei laugh and say it so he wuld prevent himself to cry.

  • I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's what he says right after Teepo kicks-it. Your brother is right about him trying to keep positive after losing a spiritual family member, but the confusing part is that Rei seems to use "Doesn't this just beat all?" in both positive and negative context. Honestly I'm not entirely sure what he means by that, its like his sense of sarcasm is in constant flux. I'm not sure what to make of it. Could somebody, please, shed a bit more light on that?

  • @thatsnakeisdrowning i thought they really wasted a potential epic scene in there, of course, since theres no voice acting in the game its limited in how emotional it can be, but they could have changed the last conversations of teepo and rei and put a sad background song to make more impact on the audience...i dont know i felt it like a rushed scenem it could have been much more epic.

  • @AGSTNoO Dude, totally agree w/ ya on that one. There's a lot of strange little quarks in this game's presentation, like how the character portraits in the menu system like completely different than the actual sprites of the characters they represent. I dunno, it was definitely rushed, but still, I grew up on these early PlayStation games. There's just a certain charm to 'em that makes me feel kinda nostalgic.

  • The portraits used were, I believe, recycled concept art for the characters, or something along those lines. Apart from that, I don't really remember a lot of "quarks" as you put it...

  • @ILOVETODANCELOL Yeah, I guess you're right. Still though, as much as I love this game, I think the the translation could've been a little bit better, and also, I noticed that whenever ya enter one of those nameless, randomly-generated fields on the world map (were ya can grind for experience and zenny or find some loose items lyin' 'round) the fields are always full of grass, even jus' outside areas like Junk Beach, for instance. I dunno, doesn't bother me that much, though.

  • Yeah, the translation was meh... But at least YOU didn't have to play the really really shitty French version >_> It looked like it was translated by a 13 years old. Seriously, it was painful to read sometimes. And you're right for the random maps too, that'd have been nice to have more variety (even though in the Desert of Death they're different).

  • @ILOVETODANCELOL

I thought the same thing about the german version. I cant tell how often Ryu got called Nina, each character was several times called "He" and "she". The translation of Final Fantasy 7 was actaully good compared to this.

Anyway, this is one of my first RPG's, and it still is one of the best ever made.

  • @ILOVETODANCELOL Ha-ha! Very true, I'll take your word for it, but you know how us American Idiots are, always complainin' 'bout somethin'. :p Also, you're right about the random maps bein' different in the Desert of Death, nice touch. :D

  • @thatsnakeisdrowning It's translation may have been meh but we can all be thankful for one thing...

    It's not BoFII's translation.

  • By the way dude, thanks for the uploads. I freakin' love the music in this game. ^_^

  • Thanks mang, my pleasure :)

  • i know the feeling of nostalgia and good memories that these games give to one´s self. Whenever i hear their soundtracks its an automatic click for flashbacks. Thats part of the reasons why i play these games from now and then. I played the whole BOF 3 a couple of years back and it was like playing it for the first time, these titles are timeless. Oh and by the way thanks a lot for the music uploader!! I really appreciate it!!

  • You've never played Lost Odyssey... And a dozen other RPGs, right?²

  • FF13 is terrible. Don't bother with it.

  • I don't expect anything good to come out of Versus XIII. It looks retarded and KH-minus-Disney-like.

Squenix apparently can't decide between making decent games (FFTA2, KH1) or games with pretty good gameplay and terribad characters and plot (any KH game except the first one, FFXIII). To think that these guys made great games separately before that... Hopefully, Mistwalker will keep on giving us awesome games that feel like Squaresoft classics.

The remakes they make are decent, though.

  • @wesker100000000 I don't know about everyone else, but for me the voice acting in a game would have to be pretty god-awful for me to prefer no voiced text over VA. I have yet to encounter a game where the voice acting is that bad, though with all the games I've played chances are I probably have encountered at least one but don't remember it. As for FF13, it's doesn't deserve all the hate it gets, it's a pretty good game for the most part, and there are worse games out there ex: Dragon Quarter.

  • XIII is so hollow it's painful. The game has good graphics, some correct music and a semi-decent fighting system. Everything else is trash.

DQ is clearly the worst BoF, but I had some fun playing it. Sounds more like the fandom is butthurt about it not being a clone of Bof 3 or 4.

  • @ILOVETODANCELOL I enjoyed Dragon Quarter as well, but I hated two things about it that caused it to fall behind the rest of the series for me, 1. You have to avoid using the dragon so much that there might as well not have been a dragon. 2. The SOL system, which was there because the developers couldn't be bothered to have a reasonable difficulty and a long enough story, so they jacked up the difficulty and made us go through the same game 2 or 3 times before we could reach the end.

  • @immortalfrieza i never had to restart the game to win, personally. I did have to revert back to saves a few times, though.

Dragon Quarter....i never gave it a chance because i was so angry it wasn't like 3 or 4. But when i finally did.....It's one of the best rpgs ive ever played.

It has the same feeling to the storyline that BOF3 had -- Nothing too epic or important, but in the end you and your characters were worth something much bigger than the initial goal. It was a great experience

  • @ILOVETODANCELOL The issue I had with DQ, and why I refuse to ever touch it, is that it takes place completely outside the established BoF continuity. That means it isn't Breath of Fire, to me. It's just some random game with a few(VERY few) themes in common with the original series. At least 4 could possibly be a prequel.

I'd like for a real continuation of the BoF series, instead of ambiguous possibly prequels, and completely unrelated games. But Capcom has zero respect for this series. :(

  • The fact that the game isn't canon doesn't make it a bad game. If you didn't even touch it, you can't judge it and your opinion is uneducated and stupid, and God know the last thing we need on the Internet is more uneducated and stupid opinions. Besides, what's wrong with a game not being in the same canon than previous games of the series? The FF series has a dozen of great games, almost all unrelated.

Play the game and judge it after doing so. Don't bash if you don't know.

  • @ILOVETODANCELOL Wow, no need to be insulting. If you read my comment, you can see that at no point did I say I think DQ sucks or is bad. All I said is that I don't want it. That's simply a personal preference, nothing more. :\

The difference, for me, is that with FF, the series is -expected- to not have a common continuity. With BoF, I enjoyed the series -because- of the backstory. So for me... a game that has the BoF name, that isn't part of the continuity, is something I don't want.

  • I maintain that what you said was downright stupid - saying that you "refuse to ever touch" a game just because it's not what you want it to be makes no sense at all. After eating three red apples, will you spit on the fourth one and say "Ugh, it's green, I don't even want to touch that apple"?

Sure, DQ is not what many players expected it to be. But the fault comes from the players assuming what DQ would be like, instead of giving the game a damn chance.

  • well at the beggining of the game Teepo was with you more then Rei such as the Nue, Ghost house. and other things.

  • bof 3 best rpg ever + best battle music ever Y E A H

  • Top 5 BGM in Breath of Fire 3!

  • Definitely
