americans know and quote lebowsky? i thought americans didnt appreciate 'the dude' (in numbers, that is). good news, i love you even more now, tyt for world domination ;)
If CaptVelocity is the liberal representative on YouTube; I'm switching parties. Its people like this that give the rest of us a bad name. Name calling!?!?! no real facts to back anything up; just more of the same that is making our party look so good
Do the Young Turks have no shame? Do they really have nothing better to do than slander a retired politician all day? Does he understand that Palin resigned because democrats were abusing the Freedom of Information Act to file hundreds of frivolous lawsuits against her, consuming all of her time and costing thousands of tax dollars in investigation and court costs? Does he know she was never found guilty? Does he even care about the facts?
Well here are the facts, if anybody even cares about those.
During the presidential campaign, democrats learned about Palin, who had a threateningly spotless record as governor. They could not find any real dirt on her, so they decided to make it seem like she's doing a bad job by swamping her with so many frivolous FOIA lawsuits that she couldn't even do her job anymore. This also wasted thousands of tax dollars in court costs, creating a bonus deficit to blame her for. Sadly, it worked.
I don't believe a single politician has a spotless record...
But her record wasn't the problem, it was her total lack of understanding of most issues. That made her proximity to the oval office, if something happened to McCain, downright scary.
Now, I don't know about those FOIA lawsuits, but why would you fight those? Either the people have a right to know, or they don't.
She was a threat and they took her out. Both sides do it and they do it well. She's facing 500K in lawsuites and makes 125K a year. With speaking engagements she can pay for all the court fee's. Everytime someone is a threat to the other party, this is what happens. Its just that this time you actually get to see it in action. Normally they hit people like Palin when they're up and coming. She took them by surprise. Dem, Repub, its doesnt really matter. Its all about money
cute comment; but not relative to anything given our countries current situation and the people who are running things. We've elected two people with zero administrative experience between them, zero executive experience. So in reality what we're hoping for is that they will pick people who are more experienced than they are to run this country; and we've seen how great that has worked out so far
Well, its relative to this video, and your response to my comment.
Executive experience only seems to matter when reps talk about dems. It didn't seem to matter, however, when Reagan or Schwarzenegger were elected in California. Or when Dubya was elected in Texas.
I agree w/ you on 1 point, though. What matters is who they pick to help them lead the nation. Obama picked a 36 year veteran senator. McCain picked Palin. That settled the elections in IMO.
It settles nothing; Obama had three years to McCains 50yrs of service to his country. Palin had more political experience than Obama did. Its apples and oranges. If we are going to go off who had the most experience makes the better President then it would have been McCain. But we didnt. Instead we picked an actor to be president. And he's very good at what he does, he fooled me into voting for him. His choices for cabinet positions is what i've been refering to. Pay your taxes
Cabinet and post selections. He picks people without doing full background checks on them; then when it blows up in his face; rather than letting them go and getting someone who has a clean background. He just sticks with them no matter what. He blames Bush for everything, but keeps some of his top advisors in place. To me its just a walking contradiction. No one is perfect and I'm not stupid enough to actually believe that the President is responsible for our countries issues.
I don't blame Bush for everything but, he did involve is in an unnecessary war in Iraq, and we are only now beginning to see the aftermath of those policies.
I don't think Obama has been in office long enough to say he is either a good or bad president. His policies haven't really taken effect yet, and he cannot be blamed for the present state of the economy.
All this is just the Reps usual fear mongering to manipulate the base once again.
His picks that didnt pay their taxes and got blasted for it. Fear mongering; thats funny. Both parties use fear to get what they want. The dems use Class Envy to push most of their agendas. They tell the elderly their social security is going to get cut, the poor that there welfare is going away; the minorities that the reps are all racist. its all a joke
There were two who quickly resigned after finding out their taxes were due. But, how can you compare that with outing a CIA agent? Or having your legal team sign off on torture techniques? Or Cheney saying we needed to work on the "dark side" to say we would torture prisoners?
Class envy is when your neighbor has a Lexus and you drive a Ford Focus.
Class envy is not; Having to file bankruptcy because you can't pay your medical bills, or asking for an increase in minimum wage because people who work 50 hrs a week are still living in poverty.
SS IS underfunded. That's just a fact. Republicans love to starve social programs to later claim they do not work & and cut back taxes again. That's also a fact.
Reps are way out of touch with minorities, and they haven't a clue.
Do you really believe that Obama and Clinton do not use the same tactics? Honestly are you that niave? What; do you think the CIA just shuts down for 8yrs? Bosnia, Croatia. We had Bin Laden in our sights; literally and Clinton stopped it at the last second. The point being: We had Bin Laden in our sights by a U.S. hit team during the Clinton Presidency. Our government does not shut down depending on who's in office; We dont stop being a Nation
Republicans love to use made up scenarios to scare the populace towards what they offer. Iraqi war 'the war on terror' torturing prisoners health care reform gun control welfare SS SCOTUS justice Sotomayor And now, Obama speaking to students You name it, the reps make up some unfounded myths to try and build opposition towards ANY kind of change, and now, anything Obama does. Even going back to the Civil Rights Act, conservatives oppose ALL kinds of change.
Wow; I wish I was still niave enough to believe in parties or even party lines for that matter. Scare tactic "Iraqi War" voted on by the house and senate. Passed by both parties by a landslide. "The war on Terror" 911, guess that was a scare tactic to. Torturing Prisoners. The Dems have run the house and senate since 06, yet Gitmo still ran, oops. Health Care: Bill and Hillary spend 1billion dollars to research this: They came up with nothing in 8yrs.
But, it did get him elected:Twice. Welfare was cut and reformed by: Clinton. Social Security is the best scare tactic the Dems have. Civil Rights Bill. 61% of Dems vote Yes. 81% of Rebulicans Vote Yes. This after a 57day fillibuster by the Senate Majority leader. The house chair, a Democrat by the name of Howard Smith swore to keep the Bill bottled up "indefinetly". After a 14hr speech by Robert Byrd (Dem) opposing the Bill; the bill was passed. Because of the Republican Minority. Damn Repubs
By our standards JFK and LBJ would be conservatives and they advocated change. Lincoln was a conservative and he went to war to force change. I'm sorry but to actually believe what you believe means that I would have to stop reading up on what laws are passed by who. I know that each has its flaws and strengths but to believe that the "Liberal" way of thinking is some way "Enlightend" is simply something I can not buy into.
your post makes no sense. Maybe it is you who needs to clarify what being a liberal or a conservative means to you. According to you conservatives do not advocate change; yet I've already proven they have voted for change repeatedly where the liberals have fought it.
I asked you to look up the meaning of the words for a reason. You seem to have this erroneous belief that Republican means Conservative, and Democrat means Liberal. They do not.
Democrats reviewed and signed all those bills, including declaring war in the first place, just so you know. The war vote was unanimous. Not one democrat opposed it.
And, many Dems and some Reps did in fact vote against the resolution that "authorized" the war in Iraq.
In any case, a UN member nation has to go to the Security Council before it can legally invade another country. We skipped that step after it became obvious we would not get the votes needed.
jaurezrt; I dont want tol insult you; but we everytime more than 25K U.S. troops are sent into combat it takes the house and senate to allow this. The bill was signed into law under Reagan. The house and senate voted to invade Iraq in both wars, by overwhelming majority. One person voted no on the last war, one. As for the UN; we do not need the UN for anything. Its unconstitutional for any governing body to hold sway over US policy or legislation other than our own government.
HJ Res 114: To Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq House =Yea- Nay-No vote Reps=215-6- 2 Dems=81-126-1 Ind=0-1-0 Senate=Yea-Nay-No vote Reps=48-1-0 Dems=29-21-0 Ind=0-1-0 Hope this clears it up for you. Do you think the UN Charter only applies to other nations, but not us?
You don't know what the hell you're talking about? Fox News is the one that doesn't care about facts. Palin isn't just a moron, she's also an asshole if you actually look.
And Palin IS guilty of all charges, someone up there is just covering for her.
Like anyone cares what some urine colored muslim sand nigger from the Young Jurks thinks. This islamfascist sand nigger is an illiterate motherfucker. Finally, the Young Jurk found some asshole with a lower IQ than him, Levi Johnston has the IQ of a rock. Yea, Levi Johnston is telling the truth, OK, he's just so credible. Not like he is an uneducated moron who couldn't spell CAT if I spotted that dumb hockey puck the C and the T.
Hey, this way she won't come under fire for building her house w/ "unaccounted for" building materials!!! Thanks Alaska for paying for Welfare Queen Sarah Palin's home, couldn't have done it without you!!! Now she doesn't have to return those $400k worth of clothes...
Again, ignorance is bliss. Before the Presidential elections and the fear from the left, she had the highest approval ratings of any governor. Both parties liked her and worked with her on making Alaska better. Your choices of bashing are weak and again uniformed as she didn't purchase the clothing and made the assistant who did return them. And then fired her. You really need to wake up and smell what you're shoveling. It's becoming grotesque.
America needs to wake up before it's too late... once this "public option" is in place there is no turning back. The same could be said about Cap & Trade as well. These are two of the biggest economic killers out there. The raise in minimum wage will also continue to hurt the group that it was intended to help as well.
People were driven to hate GB so much that we have turned to this.... thank God, 2010 and 2012 will change all of that.
Public Option will give every chance for the Robber barrons of the health industry to compete to prove themselves. It's about the Elite Health Insurers denying claims and us paying more money for less care. It's about providing good healthcare for all, not just the wealthy.
Car insurance would be cheaper (no medical to cover), small businesses would save by not having to provide it, and prices would be lower so medicare wouldn't be 22% of our GDP like Taiwan who's medicare is below 8%.
Let's not forget worker's comp would basically not exist under single payer. CR, I am opposed to your view and I think that we should help small business, not hurt them.
Help small business by raising minimum wage? By raising their taxes to pay for the Obamination Health Plan? You're a joke if you think these plans will help Small Business Owners. These are the entrepenuers of the country. You think they want more regulation? Taxation? Gov't Control? Where do you buy your crack? I mean seriously!
You are quite delusional, which is apparent from anyone who quote Glenn Beck as credible. You not only drink the Kool-Aid, but you politely ask for more. You seem to forget that all the social programs Clinton enacted in office which he paid for with a SURPLUS. Why don't you try making a rational argument instead of fear mongering with words like taxation and gov't control. You follow the Millionaire's Tax Effect; which doesn't apply to the Working Class' Tax effect.
Actually the real joke is that you would not take Glenn Beck as a credible source, but this liberal hate monger Cenk as your saviour. Is there anything that could define you as moronic more than that? Oh yeah your entire view of reality. Nevermind.
The real joke is Beck's fat alchy ass flipping out on a woman who called about healthcare. Or hearing him fake-cry at the drop of a hat. I did watch the video, and it's painfully devoid of any facts. It just tries to scare you with the scary music in the background. I can't wait till he actually reforms healthcare, the rag-tag bunch of cons left are forced out of office, and we re-elect him! This guy isn't a hate monger, if you want a real Liberal hate monger then go to thomhartmann(point)com
Of course you would say that. The caller was probably a family member. She was inciteful, uniformed, and rude... sounds like it falls right into your gene pool. Devoid of facts? Really? Hmmmm... so the direct quotes talking about the end of private insurance companies weren't speaking volumes of our current direction. Got it. Again you are playing outside of reality (no surprise). Waiting for this healthcare reform is like waiting to see Santa Claus. Keeping wishing, it'll never happen.
Beck makes the argument that the health insurance industry is the backbone of the country; w/o them America would fail. The REALITY (your antithesis--look it up) is that these companies don't provide any service, stand in the way of us receiving H/C, and contribute to more home foreclosures than any other thing. They say Obama would bankrupt the country, although his plan only costs 1/2% of the GDP. THOSE are the facts to judge w/ your head. NOT propaganda to judge w/ your heart as GB does...
Well at least now we're getting somewhere. The further you go, the more I understand where you are coming from. This is "radical" thinking at its best. You're not only liberal but progressive. And that intent is the destruction of capitalism all together. People are sheep and can't make their own decisions therefore the governement, a body full of over-educated egos, should make these decisions and control our lives. Private Insurance companies are to blame for the housing crash? Really?
It's a fact that healthcare costs are the number one cause for bankruptcy resulting in home foreclosure in the US. You draw your own conclusion I can't tell you what to think. Free thought is what drives democracy, our nation's founders would agree.
No our government shouldn't make our decisions for us, but there are certain things that the gov't should regulate. Corporations are not people. They SHOULD be regulated when they overstep by putting profit before service of the common good.
Free thought I agree with, but rising health care costs? Lower taxes. Oh you can't because there are too many people to take care of.
Gov't does regulate and will continue to regulate. I AGREE. But running an industry or DICTATING to the private sector is not regulation. Don't you see the difference? You were very close here. Congrats.
Here's a word for people like you... pathetic. Look it up. You are unwilling to take any responsibility for your own destiny. That's sad. 26 years old too, good luck with that. It's going to be a long, sad existence.
How were the founding fathers Socialist? They got away from England to have freedom. Socialism and freedom aren't good bedfellows..... Not to mention they wanted small government. Again, a governement that would regulate and protect the individuals rights without impeding on those rights. With things like cap & trade, excess taxation, etc. etc.
Oh yeah and the cherry on top is that you're ok with the government being "the elite" and everyone else being equal. That means democracy is also bad in your green-skied view point. Whew... I'm glad to not know you in person.
I would like to see healthcare be as reliable as Social Security, who never fails to write a check.
I would challenge them to be as cheap as the post office, for less than half of a dollar you can mail a letter thousands of miles.
Hell, healthcare was almost added to the constitution, had our forefathers seen what a debacle it is today, they would have listened to Benjamin Rush and added it...
At least you can type, a little advanced for your party affiliation aren't you?
Social Security will be bankrupt within the next 10 years. It was an abused government program that doesnt' work they way it was intended to work. Nice example.
Cheap as the post office and as convenient as the DMV. You're doing well with your examples tonight... 0-2.
Wrong, Public Option will end up running private health insurance companies out of business costing 100's of thousands of jobs and a lower quality health option for a majority of Americans.
"It's about providing good healthcare for all, not just for the wealthy." You do realize that you can't punish "the wealthy" without punishing the Dems in Congress and the President. They should not be exempt from the changes they are trying to force on society.
Go ahead and choose nothing. Wait til something happens to you. Ignorance is bliss... I tell you what isn't bliss:
I was driving in rural SC when an old lady crashed in front of us. Me and 2 other people pulled her out and called an ambulance, but doing so I got poison ivy so bad it spread to my bloodstream. With good coverage, they refused to pay for treating me although it was clearly life threatening. That's the status quo he's talking about, wait till you have to go to the hospital...
What? You think his changes will help that situation? Oh hell no. That situation is pretty much guaranteed death. Just ask Liam Neison when his wife bumped her head in Canada and she had to take a 2 hour ride in an ambulance. In the US, she lives. You're a moron and you don't understand what Obama is about to take away from the great majority of people in this country.
That is nothing but a boldface lie. Obama's plan would let us negotiate RX prices, much like the VA does. If you HAVE healthcare already then nothing will happen. The way insurance works is that people pool their money as a safety net.... More people that are in, the bigger the financial net. Nobody's going to take away your (or my) healthcare. It's just bringing competition.
You must be completely incapable of thinking for yourself...
Lastly... as Glenn Beck said, why won't Congress or the President use this "Public Option"? Hmmmm... Our elite government can make the rules, but don't have to follow them. What happened for the people, by the people?
But I guess you are all about czars, government power mongering, and elitism.
If I had to guess, your repsonse will probably be some type of George Bush insult, but of course... that's just a guess.
You want to talk about elitism? How about DollarBill McGuire making billions off of privatizing Hospitals. I would much rather have We The People run or own healthcare than DollarBill who would rather see us die than pay to provide good coverage.
There will always be that fringe of people that Obama will continue to marginalize as he is more and more successful. The majority of people LIKE Obama which is why WE voted for him!
We the people meaning they the government. We aren't represented now, what make you think they would do a competent job running health care? Does Medicare or Medicaid ring a bell? Or by miracle all of the sudden, government "knows what's best" for us. I call bullcrap.
Ah, the fringe, you mean the 46% that did not vote for Obama. Yes that crazy minute % of our population... You might be overstating your case just a bit. Again, Mr. Ignorant, step back into reality and join the rest of us.
I can actually understand why liberals are so angry. They are fed so much misinformation that they buy right into, that of course they're upset at Conservatives. But the real scary part are the ones that want to "transform" America. Obama talks about how we need to change the "status quo". I'm sure the 350+ million Americans receiving quality health care through their insurer aren't so quick to want to change the "status quo". It's bullshit semantics that he uses to scare people.
So what's your point? He's simply saying that this is a sinking ship. Even the moderate Democrats are saying that. You don't think Obama cares about being re-elected? You don't think that the Dems in Congress are panicking about his approval rating because they care more about their jobs then actually passing quality legislation? Do I think that the Republicans are guilty of the same thing? Of course I do. But they're not in power right now, so it's not up to them. You're a pinhead.
As far as health care is concerned, there's a Republican Senator RIGHT NOW that's making the statement " If we can keep him from passing this now, it will crush him. He will fail!" What the hell is that? They don't give a shit if Americans get health care or not as long as Obama DOESN'T win. That's poor! I'm sick of Repubs saying "no" to every Goddamn thing just because it may WORK and Obama may LOOK good. How about what's going to help the PEOPLE that they were elected to SERVE?
wrong, the dems did that for years, still do. hc bill is 1000 pages do you really know what is in it ? EU socialism doesn't work for long, EU is now voting in conservatives to fix a major problem. I used to be more socialist , but I am now low taxes, more personal freedom. Doesn't mean I am mean or selfish, I give more than most to organizations, and won't be able to anymore because of higher taxes under dems. Quote is wrong, Obama said to dems his pres will fail if not passed. Obama first
Thats what's wrong w/ you cons, too busy pointing the finger to actually be bothered to know what policies enable freedom. You just know that Repubs have the image of the tough worker alpha male, so you flock to that image like blind sheep. That's the effects of a society where we're infatuated with image and don't look past the propoganda to see the truth.
I agree with you totally. You just explained how Obama got elected...."the effects of a society where we're infatuated with image and don't look past the propoganda to see the truth"
Is that what's wrong with Conservatives? You think this is about blame? Obama has continuously reminded everyone about what he's "inherited", and you talk condescendingly to Conservatives about pointing a finger? Whew.... if you knew less, you'd be Barbara Boxer.
Yeah, nice try RH. Maybe understanding the legislation would help everyone be more clear on what he's trying to pass. But what most Americans see and are afraid of is how their current health care will be effected. Quality, time frames, etc., etc. Besides, this isn't about health care, this is about the unisured. Don't misspeak because it only proves your ingnorance.
When Liberals stop enabling the poor, that's when people will start taking responsibility for their own lives, their own freedoms, and their own destinies.
The Democrats are destroying the middle and lower class by destroying the economy and creating more hand outs.
Should I go on, or do you want to keep complaining about Bush? Maybe I should start ranting about Clinton who actually was a key component to the economic fall out that we're living in right now. We need to force banks to loan money to the unemployed, broke, desperate, and illegals. Great job Billy!
So basically you're saying that the Health Insurance Corps. should keep charging high premiums and denying coverage. And if Exxon wants to charge $4/gallon, let them cause the gov't cannot babysit! Besides, humanity trumps greed, expecially with corporations. That's why the majority of WalMart workers are below the poverty line, and Goldman Sachs is about to buy the USA. Maybe ignorance is bliss.... Or being a Dittohead, I forget which one...
You hypocrite conservatives talk "small government" until they want to have a hand in abortion or gay marriage. They talk about "small government" until artificial market manipulation from deregulation kills the middle class that supports them and then they need a bailout.
You have a lot of theories but can't quite connect the dots on them....
The Federal Gov't won't take a stand in Gay Marriage. Obama is proving that. Also the fact that it's the states' decision removes it from Federal hands.
Of course the fact that it gets attention when only 2% of our population is homosexual makes me wonder if tax dollars couldn't be better spent.
You can't price control. You're talking about speculators... Deregulation can be good or bad. Not everyone needs babysat. Your outlook on humanity is rather grim.
Healthcare is the "LIFE" right before LIBERTY and PERSUIT OF HAPPINESS. The robber barons that control the healthcare industry are not out to provide quality healthcare. They are designed to make profit by denying coverage. We the people will do a much better job than any corporate fat cat could, PERIOD.
I speak on behalf of myself. jerkoff. And I am in the middle class. If you actually understood the fundamentals of the US Constitution, you might actually be able to make an arguement. Or maybe you do understand it and just don't like it.
It would be typical liberal fashion to hide behind your hatred for America.
You have no idea what the Constitution ACTUALLY means. If you think the liberal elites run Washington you are sadly mistaken because the Corporate Republicrats do what special interest groups tell them to. It's obvious that you're single braincell is manipulated by all the RIGHT people to shooting yourself in the foot. Maybe if you lifted your body-weight in power tools all day like I do then you would see the America for what it is, tough guy...
Oh here we go.... Boo hoo for me, I have to work for a living... are you kidding me? So what, you think you're the only person who has had it rough? Or that everyone that works for a living wants a hand out?
The Republicans are the minority, but I guess you don't understand that implication in Congress. The Liberal Elites ARE Harry Reid, Sen. Dodd, Obama, Pelosi, Frank, Boxer, Feinstein...
I do not have it rough in fact I take pride in my living wage construction job. You have been conned by every millionaire that wants to keep their tax rates low and dump on the middle class. You must be either rich, or incredibly naively dumb to think that your blind American pride will fix the problems with the suffering middle class and with it the economy. There are tons of econ books out there, I suggest you turn of Faux News and read one.
Well Gary, first off I commend you for stepping forward and admitting to an upopular stance. With that being said, let me share with you three other, (more powerful), reasons why communism/socialism doesn't work. First, real socialism is lateral. Not an elite gov't and then everyone else is the same. Power will always corrupt and without checks and balances... well you get my point.
Second, socialism destroys innovation. It teaches and allows people to do "just enough" to survive.
And third, and maybe the most compelling is the human competitive spirit. We all strive for something more. When those in society have no motivation to accomplish great things, great things are no longer accomplished. Ordinary men who have the desire to become great men, no longer have a motivator to work harder and become those great men that they strive to be. With all of it's faults, capitalism and democracy are still by far the best choices. I hope that helps.
Here we go with socialism. Pelosi and Reid don't have nearly as bad ratings as Bush, Cheney or even Newt.
What about the 64 million who are without healthcare? Obviously you have never gotten injured pushing your pencils, because you would see how failed our healthcare system is. But hey, you're mind is made up why confuse it with facts? It's hard to have a rational conversation w/ someone who is in the minority of people that think Bush did a good job... Good job dumbass!!!
That competitive spirit drives capitalism is nothing more than a misconception.... Greed is NOT human nature like u say it is. Having security and real wages is a far better motivator than cut-throat capitalism.
For someone who is in the minority, I wouldn't talk about approval ratings. The Dems were elected to represent us in Congress AND the White House. And Obama didn't have to have Scalia appoint him to his post...
That's a lame answer. So everyone that's competitive is greedy? No one likes to win then is what you are really trying to say. We're all happy being equal. So there's no sense in creating opportunities for promotions or pay raise because no human being wants that.
Please step away from the doobie. You've smoked a little too much....
Having an economic model where everyone is equal hardly eradicates competitiveness. Communist countries still compete in competitive sporting events and strife for the prestige and pride that goes hand in hand with accomplishment. The only difference is that monetary compensation is no longer the motivator for society. Besides, I refuse to believe that every great accomplishment or invention has been made by a person wanting to become wealthy. Do already wealthy people have no motivation?
I hardly think you have a clue sir. The US is so far ahead of the world in most categories of innovation, it disproves your theory. Other than Soccer, the US is ahead of the curve in almost every sport.
The best example that I can give without being a complete condescending jerk is medicaitons. The drug companies in the US are decades ahead of the rest of the world. Why? Because it costs money to do drug trials. Because it's extremely competitive. Discounting competion is a mistake.
I'm just going to end my part in this discussion now, your position is just so far from rational that I'll just spend most of my time correcting your arguments which prove nothing and just seem like standalone statements which hardly seem like responses at all.
Money has in a big way stifled innovation. 99.9% of invention is simply making existing products better, corporations that hold costly patents impede innovation. Look at Wiki, that's by far the biggest pool of information and they are open source. Of course having a resource-based economy instead of a monetary one would be ideal. Too much to think about for a Faux News watcher indeed.
You are 2 for 2 on complete ignorance. Well, not complete. You are correct on improving existing products (yes, I will give you credit when creidt is due.)
Please talk in reality, your resource vs. money theory is just that, an unprovable theory. DO you understand the patent system? The gov't second largest source of income only to taxes. That system isn't going to change and it's not the "private sector's" fault.
Too much to think about from someone who refuses to live in reality.
ConservativeResponse, After Bush & Cheney used the Constitution for toilet paper, it's kind of a moot point to have a Conservative explain to the rest of us that we need to UNDERSTAND it. Never before in the history of the USA have we had a President that ignored and ran rough-shod over our fundamentals like Bush & Cheney. (I include Cheney because I believe he had more influence than Bush did right from the beginning.)
Conserv...And you state that all Liberals "hide behind their hatred of America"? Besides THAT , "Kool-Ade", "Liberal", "Hussain" and "Messiah", you have anything else?? READ! I said A RECENT CONSERVATIVE ADMINISTRATION used our Constitution for toilet paper....and they DID. More comes out about it every day. How does that equate to "every Conservative is George Bush or Dick Cheney"?
I could go on and on redhead. How about the plummeting approval ratings? How about not being American born or at least able to prove it? How about fixing health care is a good idea, but not a good plan? Is it better to fix it wrong now? Or fix it right later? It's always pass this bill today, pass that bill tomorrow. Don't worry about reading the 1000 pages, you don't need to know what it says!
Prove to me that Global Warming is man made for God's sake.
The head of the EPA said if India and China do not come on board with Cap & Trade, there's no point in doing it because it won't have a measureable effect on the environment. We will push to do it anyway. Why? Because Obama is too stubborn to see that it will destroy our economy.
Wiping his ass with our Constitution? You mean the guy that said it was too restrictive for his taste when it comes to government control? But we won't acknowledge the Socialist. It's all good.
Yes it is about money, but not for luxury. It's to cover their legal asses... She had a contract w/ Spenard Building Supplies for a hockey rink in Wasilla, AK when she was mayor. She was having her home built at that same time, and there were building materials unaccounted for. Coincidence? Yeah, now go back to hating Liberals while the people you vote for rob you blind!!!!
Rob you blind? And what Obama is doing with the bailouts, cap & trade, and nationalized healthcare is not RAPE? Raising the tax rate 5.4% for those making 1 million dollars a year or more is not rape? Read a history book. This is not AMERICAN. Obama = George III
NOT having healthcare is RAPE. Not having the tax rates anywhere near what they were under the last handful of presidents before Bush is RAPE, conservatives deregulating the markets that triggered this recession is RAPE.
"AMERICAN" is not the rich get richer while the poor get poorer. Obviously you, Sir are in the minority that would like to see a return to the age of Charles Dickens. I recommend playing Sudoku puzzles to get a grasp on how LOGIC works, RETARD.
what was the last thing you read? she is under the lib media crush. levi is a white trash football player who saw an opportunity. this is why america is being attacked by terrorists because we are slaves to "reality t.v." and education is b.s. in the u.s. Note ddean1987 bellow me cannot put "were" instead of was in his comment. god bless you libs!
btw... i would not take advice from levi johnson about voting. i don't think john hancock had this guy in mind when he boldly signed that document. i don't think he had these two a-holes in mind either. the best politician is one that is like those who feel emboldened by the current state of the country.
i can't believe she's just gonna abandon alaska and leave their borders unprotected like that! wasn't she, like, their last line of defense against Putin's head?
I could also call u a hate america crowd fasicist communist nazi like hitler that wants the country to fail but that would be going to far.Unless your rush hannity or oriley
Dear villista I assume that u are a right winger. If so where was that samwe critiszm while your party was in power.nobody can say with a straight face that our gove doesent have problems. But i have grown tired of the right wing loonacy and smears so i will respond like i was a republican in the bush admin or better yet sean hannity so that u can understand. The united states democracy is the greatest form of gov in history if you dont like it get the hell out.
LOL.... you've grown tired of the rightwing smears as Palin is completely hung out to dry. THAT IS A FREAKING JOKE.
16 ethics investigations, 13 BS, 3 soon to be proven BS.... millions spent by the Palin family and Alaskan taxpayers... BUT YOU'RE PISSED OFF ABOUT THE RIGHT WING SMEARS? That's laughable....
people should take a good hard look at the mcarthiestic way in wich our media and gov reps are acting especially on the right with its non stop propaganda that the you cant trust the journalist with degrees and nolage of history no trust us collage drop outs and drug addicts who tell you what you like to hear. And then ask yourself which side is the big brother in this country. I have not seen obama inviting olberman maddow or matthews over to the white house for strategy sessions like bush did
The government is made up of a bunch of goons who fool the public with their extensive power when it comes to knwo wtf they are fdoing, who trust these animals to do anythign right, if Democracy worked so well wouldnt they have a system that works for the people since the ages of greek and roman empires?
anything about it.DId obama jail tea party protesters like the anti war anti bush protesters were jailed. I completely agree that obamma is being fisaclly irresponsible but due to the complete lack of gov oversight or governing in genral by the rep's he wasnt left with alot of options. And at least his spending is invested in things that do help this country and not blind corprate give aways. Im waiting for the dems to pull a fox news and tell people like you you want the terrorist to win
You say obamas heading in a fasist direction. Did obama start DOHS, Did obama start the tourture program the domestic wiretapping program the corruption of the justice department the suspinsion of habeus corpus, dismatling of the geneva conventions and many international treities.Did he win an election do to a sepreme court decision did he lie us into a war or but people into prision without due process no your guy did that and you saluted him while he did and cryed traitor when anyone said
there is a diffrence with fiscally irresponsible and economically destructive Bush came in with budget surpluses and a 4.7% unemployment rate and squandered them on tax cuts for the rich, war prfotering and give aways to pharmasutical energy and insurencecompanies .
And what do we have to show for it an 8% unemployment rate and doubled national debt a collapsing econmy and much bugger goverment than we had before the republicans took power. So the republican were both irrespnsible and destructiv
you seem to operate under the assumption that dems or liberals are in love with obama and wouldnt critisize their own party. This is a projection of how your party acted while you has all the reigns. I think the dems have alrdy taken more responsibilty then the republicans ever had. I absoulutly speak out when i belive obama or the dems are in the wrong. But i also am willing to give them longer than 7 months to clean up after 12 years of republican rule.
are completley against workers rights in every way, completely gave up on personal freedoms beacause they were scared after 9/11 or going to save us from big brother. The people left in the rep party are the big brother that small gov conservatives are afraid of. Why you might not agree with some or any of obamas economic policies the idea that he is in anyway more totalitarian than bush or the republicans is completely without logic.
Whoa.... fiscally irresponsible and economically destructive are two different things. Obama's intention is for growing gov't control and more of a facist approach. Individual freedom comes with a price. This we know. I'm not willing to pay Obama's price because history tells us that it won't lead to the right results.
One thing that liberals don't understand or have forgotten as their heads swell with power, people are fickle. The polls are showing it and the impatience of Americans wanting results in turn will bring Republicans back to office. This time it won't be under the old moderate McCain. 3.5 years to freedom!
But you seem not to get that its is the crazy idelogs from both sides that caused this mess. And what we are currently seeing is a purging of all moderates or conservatives from the republican party. Leaving your party with not conservatives but the crazy loons that have concern with actuall governing. Do you really think that the same people that defend tourture, tryed to discredit anyone who had reasonable objections to the war, Corupted the justice department in every way imaginable
Its amazing to me to see conservatives wine about spending but they had now problem paying 300 tho a year so some blackwater employee for peeling potatoes. Billions and billions staright up missing from war funding bills that were supposed to support the troops. They dont care its war time how dare you ask these questions. Well its still war time maybe PRESIDENT Obama should just say the bailout money is for national defense and republicans wolnt care about it
I disagree. I am a Conservative and I do care. George Bush was not fiscally responsible and that is more the reason that Democrats control all aspects of government than the WMD fiasco. I am not so blind to that nor stupid to ignore the facts.
But you would be remiss in assuming that because Bush was irresponsible that it's ok for Obama to follow suit.
haha guy in light blue shirt almost said to raise her credibility/visibility. i would have thought twice and inferring she might have any credibility.
Your right Java. The media and left wing radicals have made sure that Gov. Palin's credibility is in question. Everyday, at every turn they have tried to discredit every word out of her mouth. Democrats are "for the people and the middle class". Yet the liberal elites in government have everyone that isn't one of them. That's not "for the people". Gov. Palin had an 80% approval rating until the media and elites begain their politics of destruction. It's disgusting.
Sara Palin is a dumb broad, and thats a nice thing to say about a woman who makes woman look as if they are stupid as fuck, (they are not) but this woman is a stupid idiot, has no common sense.. and is rediculous with her views, such as the world is 6K years old, doesn't believe in having kids before being married (but her daughter had one before her being married, or got pregnant) A bullshitty ass person who doesn't really know shit about shit, but what her stupid ass mentality tells her..

I cannot imagine a lower, more worthless being.
Monawanaha 2 years ago
a retired politician? Her quitting is all part of the plan for her to run in 2012 (good luck with that!).
Its her way of avoiding criticism until the campaign starts. She forgot that she needs to keep her mouth shut if she doesn't want attention.
juarezrt 2 years ago
Well here are the facts, if anybody even cares about those.
During the presidential campaign, democrats learned about Palin, who had a threateningly spotless record as governor. They could not find any real dirt on her, so they decided to make it seem like she's doing a bad job by swamping her with so many frivolous FOIA lawsuits that she couldn't even do her job anymore. This also wasted thousands of tax dollars in court costs, creating a bonus deficit to blame her for. Sadly, it worked.
Monawanaha 2 years ago
I don't believe a single politician has a spotless record...
But her record wasn't the problem, it was her total lack of understanding of most issues. That made her proximity to the oval office, if something happened to McCain, downright scary.
Now, I don't know about those FOIA lawsuits, but why would you fight those? Either the people have a right to know, or they don't.
juarezrt 2 years ago
She was a threat and they took her out. Both sides do it and they do it well. She's facing 500K in lawsuites and makes 125K a year. With speaking engagements she can pay for all the court fee's. Everytime someone is a threat to the other party, this is what happens. Its just that this time you actually get to see it in action. Normally they hit people like Palin when they're up and coming. She took them by surprise. Dem, Repub, its doesnt really matter. Its all about money
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
She was a threat alright...to our country.
juarezrt 2 years ago
cute comment; but not relative to anything given our countries current situation and the people who are running things. We've elected two people with zero administrative experience between them, zero executive experience. So in reality what we're hoping for is that they will pick people who are more experienced than they are to run this country; and we've seen how great that has worked out so far
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
Well, its relative to this video, and your response to my comment.
Executive experience only seems to matter when reps talk about dems. It didn't seem to matter, however, when Reagan or Schwarzenegger were elected in California. Or when Dubya was elected in Texas.
I agree w/ you on 1 point, though. What matters is who they pick to help them lead the nation. Obama picked a 36 year veteran senator. McCain picked Palin. That settled the elections in IMO.
juarezrt 2 years ago
It settles nothing; Obama had three years to McCains 50yrs of service to his country. Palin had more political experience than Obama did. Its apples and oranges. If we are going to go off who had the most experience makes the better President then it would have been McCain. But we didnt. Instead we picked an actor to be president. And he's very good at what he does, he fooled me into voting for him. His choices for cabinet positions is what i've been refering to. Pay your taxes
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
Sometimes judgment matters more than experience. McCain's VP pick was an obvious political calculation & he paid the price.
In contrast, Obama seems much more pragmatic than any recent president we've had.
What made you vote for him in the first place? What are your complaints now?
juarezrt 2 years ago
Cabinet and post selections. He picks people without doing full background checks on them; then when it blows up in his face; rather than letting them go and getting someone who has a clean background. He just sticks with them no matter what. He blames Bush for everything, but keeps some of his top advisors in place. To me its just a walking contradiction. No one is perfect and I'm not stupid enough to actually believe that the President is responsible for our countries issues.
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
WHO exactly are you talking about? What picks?
I don't blame Bush for everything but, he did involve is in an unnecessary war in Iraq, and we are only now beginning to see the aftermath of those policies.
I don't think Obama has been in office long enough to say he is either a good or bad president. His policies haven't really taken effect yet, and he cannot be blamed for the present state of the economy.
All this is just the Reps usual fear mongering to manipulate the base once again.
juarezrt 2 years ago
His picks that didnt pay their taxes and got blasted for it. Fear mongering; thats funny. Both parties use fear to get what they want. The dems use Class Envy to push most of their agendas. They tell the elderly their social security is going to get cut, the poor that there welfare is going away; the minorities that the reps are all racist. its all a joke
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
There were two who quickly resigned after finding out their taxes were due. But, how can you compare that with outing a CIA agent? Or having your legal team sign off on torture techniques? Or Cheney saying we needed to work on the "dark side" to say we would torture prisoners?
juarezrt 2 years ago
Class envy is when your neighbor has a Lexus and you drive a Ford Focus.
Class envy is not; Having to file bankruptcy because you can't pay your medical bills, or asking for an increase in minimum wage because people who work 50 hrs a week are still living in poverty.
SS IS underfunded. That's just a fact. Republicans love to starve social programs to later claim they do not work & and cut back taxes again. That's also a fact.
Reps are way out of touch with minorities, and they haven't a clue.
juarezrt 2 years ago
Do you really believe that Obama and Clinton do not use the same tactics? Honestly are you that niave? What; do you think the CIA just shuts down for 8yrs? Bosnia, Croatia. We had Bin Laden in our sights; literally and Clinton stopped it at the last second. The point being: We had Bin Laden in our sights by a U.S. hit team during the Clinton Presidency. Our government does not shut down depending on who's in office; We dont stop being a Nation
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
juarezrt 2 years ago
Wow; I wish I was still niave enough to believe in parties or even party lines for that matter. Scare tactic "Iraqi War" voted on by the house and senate. Passed by both parties by a landslide. "The war on Terror" 911, guess that was a scare tactic to. Torturing Prisoners. The Dems have run the house and senate since 06, yet Gitmo still ran, oops. Health Care: Bill and Hillary spend 1billion dollars to research this: They came up with nothing in 8yrs.
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
But, it did get him elected:Twice. Welfare was cut and reformed by: Clinton. Social Security is the best scare tactic the Dems have. Civil Rights Bill. 61% of Dems vote Yes. 81% of Rebulicans Vote Yes. This after a 57day fillibuster by the Senate Majority leader. The house chair, a Democrat by the name of Howard Smith swore to keep the Bill bottled up "indefinetly". After a 14hr speech by Robert Byrd (Dem) opposing the Bill; the bill was passed. Because of the Republican Minority. Damn Repubs
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
I don't dispute anything you just stated. But you should realize that liberals weren't always democrats, and conservatives weren't always republicans.
JFK & then LBJ 'betrayed' the democrats when they pushed for this law. That was how the democrats lost the south, they turned liberal.
In short, it is conservatives, both dems and repubs who have historically stood in the way of progress.
juarezrt 2 years ago
By our standards JFK and LBJ would be conservatives and they advocated change. Lincoln was a conservative and he went to war to force change. I'm sorry but to actually believe what you believe means that I would have to stop reading up on what laws are passed by who. I know that each has its flaws and strengths but to believe that the "Liberal" way of thinking is some way "Enlightend" is simply something I can not buy into.
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
Well, what do you think liberal and conservative means? Please, go look up the definitions before we continue with this.
juarezrt 2 years ago
your post makes no sense. Maybe it is you who needs to clarify what being a liberal or a conservative means to you. According to you conservatives do not advocate change; yet I've already proven they have voted for change repeatedly where the liberals have fought it.
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
I asked you to look up the meaning of the words for a reason. You seem to have this erroneous belief that Republican means Conservative, and Democrat means Liberal. They do not.
juarezrt 2 years ago
Democrats reviewed and signed all those bills, including declaring war in the first place, just so you know. The war vote was unanimous. Not one democrat opposed it.
Monawanaha 2 years ago
Congress has not declared war in decades.
And, many Dems and some Reps did in fact vote against the resolution that "authorized" the war in Iraq.
In any case, a UN member nation has to go to the Security Council before it can legally invade another country. We skipped that step after it became obvious we would not get the votes needed.
juarezrt 2 years ago
So what you mean Juarezt is that there are conservative Democrats and Liberal Republicans. Am I understanding you correctly?
URUROTRASH 2 years ago
As Cenk would say, OF COURSE!
This is news to you?
juarezrt 2 years ago
jaurezrt; I dont want tol insult you; but we everytime more than 25K U.S. troops are sent into combat it takes the house and senate to allow this.

RIP Sarah Palin's political career.
2008-2009.
Hey, this way she won't come under fire for building her house w/ "unaccounted for" building materials!!! Thanks Alaska for paying for Welfare Queen Sarah Palin's home, couldn't have done it without you!!! Now she doesn't have to return those $400k worth of clothes...
antifaith82 2 years ago
Again, ignorance is bliss. Before the Presidential elections and the fear from the left, she had the highest approval ratings of any governor. Both parties liked her and worked with her on making Alaska better. Your choices of bashing are weak and again uniformed as she didn't purchase the clothing and made the assistant who did return them. And then fired her. You really need to wake up and smell what you're shoveling. It's becoming grotesque.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
America needs to wake up before it's too late... once this "public option" is in place there is no turning back. The same could be said about Cap & Trade as well. These are two of the biggest economic killers out there. The raise in minimum wage will also continue to hurt the group that it was intended to help as well.
People were driven to hate GB so much that we have turned to this.... thank God, 2010 and 2012 will change all of that.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Public Option will give every chance for the Robber barrons of the health industry to compete to prove themselves. It's about the Elite Health Insurers denying claims and us paying more money for less care. It's about providing good healthcare for all, not just the wealthy.
Car insurance would be cheaper (no medical to cover), small businesses would save by not having to provide it, and prices would be lower so medicare wouldn't be 22% of our GDP like Taiwan who's medicare is below 8%.
antifaith82 2 years ago
Let's not forget worker's comp would basically not exist under single payer. CR, I am opposed to your view and I think that we should help small business, not hurt them.
antifaith82 2 years ago
Help small business by raising minimum wage? By raising their taxes to pay for the Obamination Health Plan? You're a joke if you think these plans will help Small Business Owners. These are the entrepenuers of the country. You think they want more regulation? Taxation? Gov't Control? Where do you buy your crack? I mean seriously!
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
You are quite delusional, which is apparent from anyone who quote Glenn Beck as credible. You not only drink the Kool-Aid, but you politely ask for more. You seem to forget that all the social programs Clinton enacted in office which he paid for with a SURPLUS. Why don't you try making a rational argument instead of fear mongering with words like taxation and gov't control. You follow the Millionaire's Tax Effect; which doesn't apply to the Working Class' Tax effect.
antifaith82 2 years ago
So you didn't watch the video. I didn't expect you to. Very typical.
You mean when the Republicans were the majority in Congress? Oh yeah, you wouldn't dare post that. Clinton did it on his own. Nice try.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Actually the real joke is that you would not take Glenn Beck as a credible source, but this liberal hate monger Cenk as your saviour. Is there anything that could define you as moronic more than that? Oh yeah your entire view of reality. Nevermind.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
The real joke is Beck's fat alchy ass flipping out on a woman who called about healthcare. Or hearing him fake-cry at the drop of a hat. I did watch the video, and it's painfully devoid of any facts. It just tries to scare you with the scary music in the background. I can't wait till he actually reforms healthcare, the rag-tag bunch of cons left are forced out of office, and we re-elect him! This guy isn't a hate monger, if you want a real Liberal hate monger then go to thomhartmann(point)com
antifaith82 2 years ago
Of course you would say that. The caller was probably a family member. She was inciteful, uniformed, and rude... sounds like it falls right into your gene pool. Devoid of facts? Really? Hmmmm... so the direct quotes talking about the end of private insurance companies weren't speaking volumes of our current direction. Got it. Again you are playing outside of reality (no surprise). Waiting for this healthcare reform is like waiting to see Santa Claus. Keeping wishing, it'll never happen.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Beck makes the argument that the health insurance industry is the backbone of the country; w/o them America would fail. The REALITY (your antithesis--look it up) is that these companies don't provide any service, stand in the way of us receiving H/C, and contribute to more home foreclosures than any other thing. They say Obama would bankrupt the country, although his plan only costs 1/2% of the GDP. THOSE are the facts to judge w/ your head. NOT propaganda to judge w/ your heart as GB does...
antifaith82 2 years ago 5
Well at least now we're getting somewhere. The further you go, the more I understand where you are coming from. This is "radical" thinking at its best. You're not only liberal but progressive. And that intent is the destruction of capitalism all together. People are sheep and can't make their own decisions therefore the governement, a body full of over-educated egos, should make these decisions and control our lives. Private Insurance companies are to blame for the housing crash? Really?
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
It's a fact that healthcare costs are the number one cause for bankruptcy resulting in home foreclosure in the US. You draw your own conclusion I can't tell you what to think. Free thought is what drives democracy, our nation's founders would agree.
No our government shouldn't make our decisions for us, but there are certain things that the gov't should regulate. Corporations are not people. They SHOULD be regulated when they overstep by putting profit before service of the common good.
antifaith82 2 years ago
Free thought I agree with, but rising health care costs? Lower taxes. Oh you can't because there are too many people to take care of.
Gov't does regulate and will continue to regulate. I AGREE. But running an industry or DICTATING to the private sector is not regulation. Don't you see the difference? You were very close here. Congrats.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Here's a word for people like you... pathetic. Look it up. You are unwilling to take any responsibility for your own destiny. That's sad. 26 years old too, good luck with that. It's going to be a long, sad existence.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
I guess our Founding Fathers were pathetic socialists, too then.
If you hate "liberal" America so much, why don't you try Mexico? I hear it's warm there, at least...
antifaith82 2 years ago
How were the founding fathers Socialist? They got away from England to have freedom. Socialism and freedom aren't good bedfellows..... Not to mention they wanted small government. Again, a governement that would regulate and protect the individuals rights without impeding on those rights. With things like cap & trade, excess taxation, etc. etc.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Oh yeah and the cherry on top is that you're ok with the government being "the elite" and everyone else being equal. That means democracy is also bad in your green-skied view point. Whew... I'm glad to not know you in person.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
I would like to see healthcare be as reliable as Social Security, who never fails to write a check.
I would challenge them to be as cheap as the post office, for less than half of a dollar you can mail a letter thousands of miles.
Hell, healthcare was almost added to the constitution, had our forefathers seen what a debacle it is today, they would have listened to Benjamin Rush and added it...
At least you can type, a little advanced for your party affiliation aren't you?
antifaith82 2 years ago
Social Security will be bankrupt within the next 10 years. It was an abused government program that doesnt' work they way it was intended to work. Nice example.
Cheap as the post office and as convenient as the DMV. You're doing well with your examples tonight... 0-2.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Wrong, Public Option will end up running private health insurance companies out of business costing 100's of thousands of jobs and a lower quality health option for a majority of Americans.
"It's about providing good healthcare for all, not just for the wealthy." You do realize that you can't punish "the wealthy" without punishing the Dems in Congress and the President. They should not be exempt from the changes they are trying to force on society.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
And of course the final issue of who is paying for it.... but as a liberal, that's not your concern.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Go ahead and choose nothing. Wait til something happens to you. Ignorance is bliss... I tell you what isn't bliss:
I was driving in rural SC when an old lady crashed in front of us. Me and 2 other people pulled her out and called an ambulance, but doing so I got poison ivy so bad it spread to my bloodstream. With good coverage, they refused to pay for treating me although it was clearly life threatening. That's the status quo he's talking about, wait till you have to go to the hospital...
antifaith82 2 years ago
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Look, another victim of propaganda!

Lastly... as Glenn Beck said, why won't Congress or the President use this "Public Option"? Hmmmm... Our elite government can make the rules, but don't have to follow them. What happened for the people, by the people?
But I guess you are all about czars, government power mongering, and elitism.
If I had to guess, your repsonse will probably be some type of George Bush insult, but of course... that's just a guess.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
You want to talk about elitism? How about DollarBill McGuire making billions off of privatizing Hospitals. I would much rather have We The People run or own healthcare than DollarBill who would rather see us die than pay to provide good coverage.
There will always be that fringe of people that Obama will continue to marginalize as he is more and more successful. The majority of people LIKE Obama which is why WE voted for him!
antifaith82 2 years ago
We the people meaning they the government. We aren't represented now, what make you think they would do a competent job running health care? Does Medicare or Medicaid ring a bell? Or by miracle all of the sudden, government "knows what's best" for us. I call bullcrap.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Ah, the fringe, you mean the 46% that did not vote for Obama. Yes that crazy minute % of our population... You might be overstating your case just a bit. Again, Mr. Ignorant, step back into reality and join the rest of us.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
I can actually understand why liberals are so angry. They are fed so much misinformation that they buy right into, that of course they're upset at Conservatives. But the real scary part are the ones that want to "transform" America. Obama talks about how we need to change the "status quo". I'm sure the 350+ million Americans receiving quality health care through their insurer aren't so quick to want to change the "status quo". It's bullshit semantics that he uses to scare people.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Keep sucking satan's cock...

Jim DeMint....
He said, "this will be Obama's Waterloo if he is defeated on this healthcare bill..."
antifaith82 2 years ago
So what's your point? He's simply saying that this is a sinking ship. Even the moderate Democrats are saying that. You don't think Obama cares about being re-elected? You don't think that the Dems in Congress are panicking about his approval rating because they care more about their jobs then actually passing quality legislation? Do I think that the Republicans are guilty of the same thing? Of course I do. But they're not in power right now, so it's not up to them. You're a pinhead.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
As far as health care is concerned, there's a Republican Senator RIGHT NOW that's making the statement " If we can keep him from passing this now, it will crush him. He will fail!" What the hell is that? They don't give a shit if Americans get health care or not as long as Obama DOESN'T win. That's poor! I'm sick of Repubs saying "no" to every Goddamn thing just because it may WORK and Obama may LOOK good. How about what's going to help the PEOPLE that they were elected to SERVE?
redhead761 2 years ago
wrong, the dems did that for years, still do. hc bill is 1000 pages do you really know what is in it ? EU socialism doesn't work for long, EU is now voting in conservatives to fix a major problem. I used to be more socialist , but I am now low taxes, more personal freedom. Doesn't mean I am mean or selfish, I give more than most to organizations, and won't be able to anymore because of higher taxes under dems. Quote is wrong, Obama said to dems his pres will fail if not passed. Obama first
middleoftheroad07 2 years ago
DeMint said it.
redhead761 2 years ago
"Obama first, Obama first..."
Two words, Bush and Dick...
antifaith82 2 years ago
I agree with you totally. You just explained how Obama got elected...."the effects of a society where we're infatuated with image and don't look past the propoganda to see the truth"
middleoftheroad07 2 years ago
Is that what's wrong with Conservatives? You think this is about blame? Obama has continuously reminded everyone about what he's "inherited", and you talk condescendingly to Conservatives about pointing a finger? Whew.... if you knew less, you'd be Barbara Boxer.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Yeah, nice try RH. Maybe understanding the legislation would help everyone be more clear on what he's trying to pass. But what most Americans see and are afraid of is how their current health care will be effected. Quality, time frames, etc., etc. Besides, this isn't about health care, this is about the unisured. Don't misspeak because it only proves your ingnorance.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
When Liberals stop enabling the poor, that's when people will start taking responsibility for their own lives, their own freedoms, and their own destinies.
The Democrats are destroying the middle and lower class by destroying the economy and creating more hand outs.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Should I go on, or do you want to keep complaining about Bush? Maybe I should start ranting about Clinton who actually was a key component to the economic fall out that we're living in right now. We need to force banks to loan money to the unemployed, broke, desperate, and illegals. Great job Billy!
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
So basically you're saying that the Health Insurance Corps. should keep charging high premiums and denying coverage. And if Exxon wants to charge $4/gallon, let them cause the gov't cannot babysit! Besides, humanity trumps greed, expecially with corporations. That's why the majority of WalMart workers are below the poverty line, and Goldman Sachs is about to buy the USA. Maybe ignorance is bliss.... Or being a Dittohead, I forget which one...
antifaith82 2 years ago
You hypocrite conservatives talk "small government" until they want to have a hand in abortion or gay marriage. They talk about "small government" until artificial market manipulation from deregulation kills the middle class that supports them and then they need a bailout.
You have a lot of theories but can't quite connect the dots on them....
antifaith82 2 years ago 3
The Federal Gov't won't take a stand in Gay Marriage. Obama is proving that. Also the fact that it's the states' decision removes it from Federal hands.
Of course the fact that it gets attention when only 2% of our population is homosexual makes me wonder if tax dollars couldn't be better spent.
You can't price control. You're talking about speculators... Deregulation can be good or bad. Not everyone needs babysat. Your outlook on humanity is rather grim.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Healthcare is the "LIFE" right before LIBERTY and PERSUIT OF HAPPINESS. The robber barons that control the healthcare industry are not out to provide quality healthcare. They are designed to make profit by denying coverage. We the people will do a much better job than any corporate fat cat could, PERIOD.
antifaith82 2 years ago
Ignorance is bliss. The US has 100% healthcare for all of it's people. Or maybe you misspoke as it is 85% of people who have "insurance".
We the people? You mean the liberal elites in Washington? Yeah, they give a rats ass about you. Talk about needing regulation...

antifaith82 2 years ago
I speak on behalf of myself. jerkoff. And I am in the middle class. If you actually understood the fundamentals of the US Constitution, you might actually be able to make an arguement. Or maybe you do understand it and just don't like it.
It would be typical liberal fashion to hide behind your hatred for America.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
You have no idea what the Constitution ACTUALLY means. If you think the liberal elites run Washington you are sadly mistaken because the Corporate Republicrats do what special interest groups tell them to. It's obvious that you're single braincell is manipulated by all the RIGHT people to shooting yourself in the foot. Maybe if you lifted your body-weight in power tools all day like I do then you would see the America for what it is, tough guy...
antifaith82 2 years ago
Oh here we go.... Boo hoo for me, I have to work for a living... are you kidding me? So what, you think you're the only person who has had it rough? Or that everyone that works for a living wants a hand out?
The Republicans are the minority, but I guess you don't understand that implication in Congress. The Liberal Elites ARE Harry Reid, Sen. Dodd, Obama, Pelosi, Frank, Boxer, Feinstein...
Grow a brain.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
I do not have it rough in fact I take pride in my living wage construction job. You have been conned by every millionaire that wants to keep their tax rates low and dump on the middle class. You must be either rich, or incredibly naively dumb to think that your blind American pride will fix the problems with the suffering middle class and with it the economy. There are tons of econ books out there, I suggest you turn of Faux News and read one.
antifaith82 2 years ago
What econ book says Socialism works? The Communist Manifesto? Yeah, Russia's in great shape right now... wtf are you talking about?
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Of course socialism can't work and Sanctions, tarrifs and refusal to trade with communist countries had nothing to do with failed communist states.
The bad leaders didn't contribute to it at all I guess.
gary83uk 2 years ago
Well Gary, first off I commend you for stepping forward and admitting to an upopular stance. With that being said, let me share with you three other, (more powerful), reasons why communism/socialism doesn't work. First, real socialism is lateral. Not an elite gov't and then everyone else is the same. Power will always corrupt and without checks and balances... well you get my point.
Second, socialism destroys innovation. It teaches and allows people to do "just enough" to survive.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
And third, and maybe the most compelling is the human competitive spirit. We all strive for something more. When those in society have no motivation to accomplish great things, great things are no longer accomplished. Ordinary men who have the desire to become great men, no longer have a motivator to work harder and become those great men that they strive to be. With all of it's faults, capitalism and democracy are still by far the best choices. I hope that helps.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Here we go with socialism. Pelosi and Reid don't have nearly as bad ratings as Bush, Cheney or even Newt.
What about the 64 million who are without healthcare? Obviously you have never gotten injured pushing your pencils, because you would see how failed our healthcare system is. But hey, you're mind is made up why confuse it with facts? It's hard to have a rational conversation w/ someone who is in the minority of people that think Bush did a good job... Good job dumbass!!!
antifaith82 2 years ago
Yeah, I'm not so sure about that. Maybe you should recheck your stats. The Congress approval rating blows.
Say what you want. (Ignorance IS bliss). Our healthcare system is far from perfect, but choosing Obama's reform or nothing? I choose nothing.
By the way, Bush did a terrible job economically especially at the end. He spent too much money.
Wrong again AF, as soon as you stop assuming, you might get one right.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
That competitive spirit drives capitalism is nothing more than a misconception.... Greed is NOT human nature like u say it is. Having security and real wages is a far better motivator than cut-throat capitalism.
For someone who is in the minority, I wouldn't talk about approval ratings. The Dems were elected to represent us in Congress AND the White House. And Obama didn't have to have Scalia appoint him to his post...
antifaith82 2 years ago
That's a lame answer. So everyone that's competitive is greedy? No one likes to win then is what you are really trying to say. We're all happy being equal. So there's no sense in creating opportunities for promotions or pay raise because no human being wants that.
Please step away from the doobie. You've smoked a little too much....
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Having an economic model where everyone is equal hardly eradicates competitiveness. Communist countries still compete in competitive sporting events and strife for the prestige and pride that goes hand in hand with accomplishment. The only difference is that monetary compensation is no longer the motivator for society. Besides, I refuse to believe that every great accomplishment or invention has been made by a person wanting to become wealthy. Do already wealthy people have no motivation?
gary83uk 2 years ago
I hardly think you have a clue sir. The US is so far ahead of the world in most categories of innovation, it disproves your theory. Other than Soccer, the US is ahead of the curve in almost every sport.
The best example that I can give without being a complete condescending jerk is medicaitons. The drug companies in the US are decades ahead of the rest of the world. Why? Because it costs money to do drug trials. Because it's extremely competitive. Discounting competion is a mistake.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
I'm just going to end my part in this discussion now, your position is just so far from rational that I'll just spend most of my time correcting your arguments which prove nothing and just seem like standalone statements which hardly seem like responses at all.
gary83uk 2 years ago
I think that's a good idea. Best to get out now before you really embarras yourself.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Money has in a big way stifled innovation. 99.9% of invention is simply making existing products better, corporations that hold costly patents impede innovation. Look at Wiki, that's by far the biggest pool of information and they are open source. Of course having a resource-based economy instead of a monetary one would be ideal. Too much to think about for a Faux News watcher indeed.
antifaith82 2 years ago
You are 2 for 2 on complete ignorance. Well, not complete. You are correct on improving existing products (yes, I will give you credit when creidt is due.)
Please talk in reality, your resource vs. money theory is just that, an unprovable theory. DO you understand the patent system? The gov't second largest source of income only to taxes. That system isn't going to change and it's not the "private sector's" fault.
Too much to think about from someone who refuses to live in reality.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
ConservativeResponse, After Bush & Cheney used the Constitution for toilet paper, it's kind of a moot point to have a Conservative explain to the rest of us that we need to UNDERSTAND it. Never before in the history of the USA have we had a President that ignored and ran rough-shod over our fundamentals like Bush & Cheney. (I include Cheney because I believe he had more influence than Bush did right from the beginning.)
redhead761 2 years ago
So you're saying that every Conservative is George Bush or Dick Cheney?
That's a load of crap.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
Conserv...And you state that all Liberals "hide behind their hatred of America"? Besides THAT , "Kool-Ade", "Liberal", "Hussain" and "Messiah", you have anything else?? READ! I said A RECENT CONSERVATIVE ADMINISTRATION used our Constitution for toilet paper....and they DID. More comes out about it every day. How does that equate to "every Conservative is George Bush or Dick Cheney"?
redhead761 2 years ago
I could go on and on redhead. How about the plummeting approval ratings? How about not being American born or at least able to prove it? How about fixing health care is a good idea, but not a good plan? Is it better to fix it wrong now? Or fix it right later? It's always pass this bill today, pass that bill tomorrow. Don't worry about reading the 1000 pages, you don't need to know what it says!
Prove to me that Global Warming is man made for God's sake.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
The head of the EPA said if India and China do not come on board with Cap & Trade, there's no point in doing it because it won't have a measureable effect on the environment. We will push to do it anyway. Why? Because Obama is too stubborn to see that it will destroy our economy.
Wiping his ass with our Constitution? You mean the guy that said it was too restrictive for his taste when it comes to government control? But we won't acknowledge the Socialist. It's all good.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
And unconstitutional.

Yes it is about money, but not for luxury. It's to cover their legal asses... She had a contract w/ Spenard Building Supplies for a hockey rink in Wasilla, AK when she was mayor. antifaith82 2 years ago
Rob you blind? And what Obama is doing with the bailouts, cap & trade, and nationalized healthcare is not RAPE? Raising the tax rate 5.4% for those making 1 million dollars a year or more is not rape? Read a history book. This is not AMERICAN. Obama = George III
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
NOT having healthcare is RAPE. Not having the tax rates anywhere near what they were under the last handful of presidents before Bush is RAPE, conservatives deregulating the markets that triggered this recession is RAPE.
"AMERICAN" is not the rich get richer while the poor get poorer. Obviously you, Sir are in the minority that would like to see a return to the age of Charles Dickens. I recommend playing Sudoku puzzles to get a grasp on how LOGIC works, RETARD.
antifaith82 2 years ago
No, no, no. You sir are the one that has absolutely no clue what you are talking about. Best advice. Quit while you're behind.
Healthcare is a privledge, not a right.
Government spending was 3% of GNP before FDR. Now it's 28% RAPE.
Yeah.... when the mortgage industry was attempted to be regulated, they called that racism. Go figure.
AMERICAN is small government, prosperity for those who choose to work for it. AMERICAN is not letting governement control every aspect of our lives.

there is a diffrence with fiscally irresponsible and economically destructive Bush came in with budget surpluses and a 4.7% unemployment rate and squandered them on tax cuts for the rich, war prfotering and give aways to pharmasutical energy and insurencecompanies .
And what do we have to show for it an 8% unemployment rate and doubled national debt a collapsing econmy and much bugger goverment than we had before the republicans took power. So the republican were both irrespnsible and destructiv

are completley against workers rights in every way, completely gave up on personal freedoms beacause they were scared after 9/11 or going to save us from big brother. The people left in the rep party are the big brother that small gov conservatives are afraid of. Why you might not agree with some or any of obamas economic policies the idea that he is in anyway more totalitarian than bush or the republicans is completely without logic.
chrisgalizia 2 years ago
Whoa.... fiscally irresponsible and economically destructive are two different things. Obama's intention is for growing gov't control and more of a facist approach. Individual freedom comes with a price. This we know. I'm not willing to pay Obama's price because history tells us that it won't lead to the right results.
ConservativeResponse 2 years ago
One thing that liberals don't understand or have forgotten as their heads swell with power, people are fickle.
