  • ive got a 73 javelin with a 360 with all sorts of header leaks lol

  • My dad had an AMC Gremlin, but it wuz a Straight 4, I think

  • Why swap to a V8? good tuned inline 6 engines looks much more special and unique than a V8 and get much more attention in car shows because allmost every 1 swaps to v8. And well done they have MUCH more low-end torque than a light tuned v8. If u like watch what i did with my 258.

  • lol, 83hp?

damn, I think my beetle could beat it!

  • @herbienbrian2 I doubt it produces 140lb of torque however.

  • That 904 shifts nice..I miss my 232 powered Gremlin.

  • @TechMaven Not anymore! Now it slips like hell. We are going to have to figure out something before the V8 goes in.

  • Sounds amazing. ;)

  • nice grem! Mine used to have the 258, but it was junk so we swapped it out for a 401. =)

  • They had no head to manifold gasket from the factory. The gasket that comes in kits is to make up for any manifold warpage.

  • Hey, I have that in my Jeep! Going to restore it with another Grand Wagoneer for a sweet daily driver.

  • Heh. Nothin' sounds better than an AMC six with a burned out donut gasket! :)

I had a '74 Gremlin X that sounded exactly like that.

  • Actually the entire manifold to head gasket is gone!

  • Well, that's one way to reduce back pressure! :)

  • @1956MercM260 my wrangler 258 had a burnt out donut gasket

  • This really truly made my day. :) Thanks for sharing.
