  • "As a kid I heard it's clanking, rumbling insides working....the shouts of men trying to be heard over the din". I too lived within earshot of the mighty Harry E during it's last years of operation....I have fond memories of watching railroad coal hoppers being rolled down the grade from storage behind the breaker along the "Back Road" ....down to the Harry E to be loaded with coal. It was an awesome sight.
