My mother is in her 70's now ..I will miss her greatly when she passes away...:(...but I am happy I had great memories with her. Of course, we all argue with our parents at times but our bond is still strong. I love her so much.

i think it's really sad that a youtube video is the only reminder for some younger people to remember to respect and thank their mothers for all they did for them. i know i haven't always appreciated what my mom did for me either, but since i'm a bit older now and fully understand and see how much she sacrificed for me and my brother i try to make it up to her. and i will continue to do so every day of my life.

im a product of a all night stand. my mom was THIS close to aborting me, but my grandma didnt let her. When I was born, my mom had plans of leaving me, but again; my grandma didnt let her. If my mom forgot to make food, I had nothing to eat. My grandma is the one who bought me my clothes & fed me. I love my mom, but honestly I cant say she loves me back. Even if I still live with her, even if she doesnt care much about me, I still love her.
My "mom" had a baby. Her husband yanked that baby out of its crib, squeezed it, shook it, punched it in the head repeatedly and shoved it back into its crib. My "mom" comforted her husband and hoped he would change. He continued to do this. She had another baby. He did the same. Another baby still. Same. Another. Another. Another. All 6 were malnourished, beaten, threatened, humiliated, and isolated.

My mother could relate to me and my younger brothers as kids very good but as teens she did not want to relate to us at that stage of life. We were quasi-de-facto left on our own from 13 on. My father would "stir up trouble" to get out of parental resonsibility. He even left home to stay with a friend from work because of mom this&mom that. My own mother eventually ran off &for 4 yearswe never heard from her.

I was a daughter first, and I had a rocky relationship with my mom. Over the years, I grew to understand, then respect and finally really feel love for her. I became a mother (in fact, I'm posting from my daughter's account) who was and is still divorced, and a grandmother. The thanks I have gotten from my kids is their love (and my four year old grandson) is their love, shown with hugs, kisses and I'm-calling-just-to-talk phone calls. No thanks required. :)

I saw a lot of pretty nasty mess going on while I was raising my kids, and I often wondered what happened to the kids living around us. I've had kids spend the night at my place because I was the mom who had food in the fridge, didn't drink or do drugs, didn't "go to the club", didn't have a drunk, drugged up, insane husband (or step father or boyfriend). I am happy you made this video. My mother has done many things for me and I have done things for her. I call my mother every other day throughout my life..I'm now 43. My mother is in her 70's now ..I will miss her greatly when she passes away...:(...but I am happy I had great memories with her. Of course, we all argue with our parents at times but our bond is still strong. I love her so much.

I never treated my Mom like that. She's a single mother who works 3 jobs and can still barely support me. She stretches to her limit everyday just to make sure I'm happy and fed and have a roof under my head and a bed underneath me at night. She's made so many sacrafices for me, I could never treat my Mom like that. I love my mom, and though sometimes we fight, like all mothers and teenage daughters, at the end of the day, I love my Mom.

i think it's really sad that a youtube video is the only reminder for some younger people to remember to respect and thank their mothers for all they did for them. i know i haven't always appreciated what my mom did for me either, but since i'm a bit older now and fully understand and see how much she sacrificed for me and my brother i try to make it up to her. and i will continue to do so every day of my life.

im a product of a all night stand. my mom was THIS close to aborting me, but my grandma didnt let her. When I was born, my mom had plans of leaving me, but again; my grandma didnt let her. If my mom forgot to make food, I had nothing to eat. My grandma is the one who bought me my clothes & fed me. I love my mom, but honestly I cant say she loves me back. My "mom" had a baby. Her husband yanked that baby out of its crib, squeezed it, shook it, punched it in the head repeatedly and shoved it back into its crib. My parents when I became a young teen stopped being involved with my life. My mother could relate to me and my younger brothers as kids very good but as teens she did not want to relate to us at that stage of life. We were quasi-de-facto left on our own from 13 on. My father would "stir up trouble" to get out of parental resonsibility. He even left home to stay with a friend from work because of mom this&mom that. My own mother eventually ran off &for 4 yearswe never heard from her.

I became a mother (in fact, I'm posting from my daughter's account) who was and is still divorced, and a grandmother. Ive been mean to my mother, ive ignored her somtimes when she wanted me to do things and ive always felt guilt, three days ago we got to know that she has cancer and they don't know if shes gonna survive. Now, i hate myself for doing things like that to her, now i just want her to know how much i love and apreciate every thing she has ever done to me!

@michellegarden4 I'm truly sorry if you had a hard time growing up. I saw a lot of pretty nasty mess going on while I was raising my kids, and I often wondered what happened to the kids living around us. I've had kids spend the night at my place because I was the mom who had food in the fridge, didn't drink or do drugs, didn't "go to the club", didn't have a drunk, drugged up, insane husband (or step father or boyfriend). I hope you can work things out with your mom.

Your mother loves you no matter how much you did put her though. She loves you and care for you. so she is has forgive you. But i am sorry for your lost. i bet she was great
