You got his sound down. Have you seen the setup Beck uses lately; a couple old Fender tweed Champs. He has them mic'd and running through the stage monitors.
Does your guitar stay in tune very well as does Beck's?
@spyguys : thanks, as far as the stability of the bridge on my G&L, its fine as long as you don't change the tunning. as in any floating trem, the tention of one string effects the others. i haven't used his guitar personally haha. but i can say that nothing is perfect even with the guitar gods. i saw his set in florida a few years ago and he went out of tune in the middle of the song . its a matter of stretching out new strings on the guitar so that doesn't happen.
@johnmp5 I've seen JB a few times and most of the time he does stay in tune even with agressive use of the vibrato bar. He also has that roller nut on his guitar. On my old Strat, I have it set up so it stays in tune very well, however on one of the newer ones I have I can't seem to get it set just right. Like you said, it's a matter of the string tension. Yes, stretch the hell out of the strings before playing!

@TheMusicDude1997 its not so much his pedals as the fact that he uses his fingers to play. He doesnt use picks so it creates a very mellow, warm sound. i imagine he probably only uses a Rat distortion or an overdrive pedal and not much else beside his Marshalls and Strats.
@TheMusicDude1997 : tube screamer( over drive type of pedal ) on low gain pushing a tube amp is a good start. he also uses a short slap-back type of delay or reverb
well guitar rig 4 already came with a beck preset but it seemed a little too gain saturated and i dont have a very good preamp in my sound card so it might sound different on a nice preamp goin into the computer. as far as the the lead 800(marshall) settings; i dropped the pre amp to 5 and the treble to 10 and put the mic distance to 50% air/dry . the reverb needed more presence so i just put the dry/wet to 12 o clock and the roomsize to 3 o clock.
