They definitely have bounce. If I'd felt like it I could have easily jumped out of the netting. I just don't ever feel like it because well, it'd suck.
@egood24 The idea of the spring-free system is the jumping surface extends to the edges of the frame so there are no springs around the edge where, if you land wrong, your leg can go between the springs. God Bless!
if your thinking about getting one of these dont im a alright trampolinist and have one of these but they really limit your ability they are not that bouncy and whenever i try new flips i need to use padding or when i land on my back and hit my head on the mat i get a headache because the fiberglass rods are soo stiff and ive had mine for a couple of years (4) and its still very stiff
Through at least over 2k hours of serious trampoline action, I've only gotten injured once. And that one had nothing to do with falling off or getting caught in springs. I landed on my knees, with my hips in front of those knees, while my shoulders were behind said knees. One of the worst pains I've experienced, but I recovered within a week. I've actually gotten close to injury because of nets a few times, and springs produce the best bounce. Get a real trampoline, don't waste money on this.
@Kirbywirbee The version of this trampoline that I purchased came with two sets of legs. A taller set of legs are to be used if adults are doing most of the jumping and a shorter set of legs for kids. The video shows the shorter set of legs since I built it for the kids to use. God Bless!
@Kirbywirbee There is a second set of legs that are taller to help prevent that. The shorter legs are for children and the taller legs for adults. I feel it's better to assemble the trampoline with the taller legs, because it is challenging to disassemble it to swap the legs after it is built. God Bless!
@PhoenixBird35 It is possible to hurt yourself on any athletic equipment...the design of the Springfree Trampoline removes some of the common hazards of traditional trampolines. God Bless!
We purcahsed the sf60 (oval) one, has been up 6 weeks love it! couldn't be happy don't be fooled by people making videos trying to put it down, as it's just a marketing ploy, so that you will look at other tramps, and hopefully buy their one. I have had comments and videos shown to me re the springfree and all negative, and yet i have done the test myself, and proven them wrong. .
@dodgplumma Don't be put off by negative comments, try one for yourself if interested, then you can make your decsiion purely on what you eperience, rather than what people are telling you
@dodgplumma I agree...I did alot of research before I bought the Springfree Trampoline for my kids. We loved it and have many fond memories. God Bless!
@PinkZebraCheer Great question! Springfree™ Trampoline uses flexible fibreglass rods to give a soft non-jarring bounce. The rods lie beneath the jumping surface out of harms way. To see a video of how it works, visit our springfreetrampoline YouTube page :) Cheers, Kat from Springfree
@MattBellamyRox4357 Hi Matt, Kat from Springfree here! Our smaller model is tested to take a static load of 838 lbs, our larger models 1100 lbs - about the weight of an adult male polar bear.
Recommending jumper weight is a more complex issue. As we are focused on safety we recommend the following weights as a safe, conservative guidelines for each model: R54 = 154lbs, R79 = 220lbs, O92 = 220lbs, S113 = 220lbs, S155 = 220lbs
@chuckdog1231 Hi Chuck, Kat from Springfree here! The Springfree™ Trampoline offers a softer bounce smoother bounce and doesn’t produce the jarring effect of traditional, spring based trampolines. The fibreglass rods deliver a performance superior to springs and one that is a lot gentler on knees and joints. :) - K
Does this trapoline last longer then the other kind? Do you have to replace parts every so often? And are the parts expencive to replace? We have lots of kids and would like to get a trampoline but have not made that final decission. This one seems nice and looks like it jumps nicer then a regular one. It's just a lot of money so we want to know how long it will be around if you know what I mean ;) Thanks :)
@superdataman A lot of thought and rigorous testing goes into our design to make sure every Springfree™ Trampoline is sturdy and safe for the whole family to enjoy for years to come. Our trampolines outperform and outlast traditional trampolines by leaps and bounds! If you have any more questions visit our website or give us a call at 1-877-JUMPSAFE (586-7723) we'd be happy to answer them! :) - K

@randomsha5211 It took about 4 hours to set it up. Ours had a maximum weight or the jumper of 200 pounds. You can find more infor on the SpringFree web site: springfreetrampoline.cm/trampoline-specifications
@goskate962 that is true but if you look at all the videos of people falling off their trampoline.......nets look pretty appealing. im not saying they would completely stop you from getting hurt, but they could still prevent many injuries. even if they dont last long....they could still provide a little more safety for awhile.
my little brother was standing at the side of the Trampoline one time, and i was on and one of the ( net ) rod's slipt out from the thing that joins them and hit him on the head, he had to go to hosptial and has a pretty bad scar ( it hit him so hard the little joining bit has never been found thank god that flew off before it hit him it could have been alot more seriouse...
Way to expensive. Go to your local wholesale club and pick up a 15 foot with a net for $300. With a coupon once in a while. The net starts before the (padded)springs so there is no chance in falling on them.
One added safety precaution for springfree users for outside watchers is to keep hands away from the rods, as they compress they could pinch a hand if he/she had it in there.
Nice trampoline, not as much twist as I thought. I don't like the fiberglass rods for the same reason as mxracer923 pointed out. Aging fiberglass rods become brittle. Springfree hasn't been on the market for long enough to see how well they age.
By the way, where is springfree made?America?
in-laws have 14' medalist from Sundance(cdn) for 3 years now, no probs and awesome, superfun has a similar one. Just make sure the rules are layed down and always, always supervise.
I believe the Springfree trampoline was designed in Australia. I'm not sure where they are manufactured. We contacted the Canada office to ask questions before we bought ours from Costco.
The bounce is not as springy as a regular trampoline, but that's fine with me since I don't want my kids to launch themselves into space. :-)
If you jump around the edges, the surface rotates a bit since the fiberglass rods compress in a clockwise direction. But if you jump toward the center of trampoline, it is not noticeable. Blessings!
this seems like a fun trampoline but yet dangerous at the same time if a child trys to use the springs in the bottom as steps and the aply pressure to the top it would squeeze and break their foot =( not oto safe lets sit back for a moment and think about this.
@Tyler34234 fingers can not get chopped off, i had a 92kg male jump right on the edge of mat to compress the rods, with acoort in between, barely marked the carrot, so cannot break a finger, unless the jumper is well over maximum weight.
lol terrible trampoline. Marketed on terms of Fun & Safety, while providing safety what point is there in buying a trampoline that takes 2 hours to set up, still has flaws in its safety and has terrible bounce. Not to mention the rate of deterioration of the tramp.

cool vid. we are thinking of getting the 8x13 one. my kids say that most tramps absorb too much bounce. what do your kids say? also, how long did it take you to get it put up?
