louder pipes wont help you either man...i have a 14 inch titanium rod and 4 screws in my leg to remind me of this...lighting works better. flashing led lights on the back hooked up to tail light and led lights facing foward out for stopped intersection cars...so far so good. look at the tim hodge sprocket mod too...worked great for my nighthawk...not lookin for that sixth gear on the highway anymore if ya know what i mean......kev.
@atcred3 I agree. More lighting the better. I had pulsing head lights before, but not anymore, removed them. I have flashing brake lights. Sorry to hear about your accident.
thats not what i meant when i said why..i meant just cut the baffle pipe...put new rivets in and it will look stock without trashin the pipes...just look up..."tim hodge exhaust mod" on google..i did it to mine...works great with the number 4 washers in the carbs...trust me.
@atcred3 to make it louder, so cars will know I'm around. The stock pipe without the holes are TOO QUIET for me. I want to make some noise to help from being hit by cars. I know, I shoulda bought aftermarket pipes, which, after all these years, I still might. But then I need to re-jet the carbs too. But for the meantime....
Congrats... That´s a classic UJM (universal Japanese Motorcycle) it does everything good... reliable engine hi peak power end a very confortable riding. Im a 1992`s owner same color as yours.
does that license plate frame illuminate the whole plate? like can it be used to pass inspection? im interested in getting one for my bike, ive got an undertail kit and i need to figure out how im gunna do the license plate. let me know!
Hurley7490- No the red LED light bar doesn't light up the plate. Luckily I haven't been stopped by police because the skull blocks the white light (that shines from the bottom of the red rear stoplight) that supposed to shine in the plate. I could add a white light on the bottom of the skull to shine on the plate. I've seen the undertail kits. How about after market white LED lights to shine on the plate, though you'll either stick it on the undertail area or drill it to secure with screws.
love the bike love the video and the skulls still like my stripes lol oh ya love your other videos too keep then coming cant wait to see more of your videos!!!
me too. I'm keeping NH. In my teen years, my first bike was a Honda 400-four. remember those bikes? I made it a cafe racer. sold that and got the 700 cc nighthawk, the one with the little fairing. Total Time I had those 2 bikes were about 10 years. Then got rid of the 700cc. Didnt have a bike for a long time. then 4 years ago got my current bike. now dreaming about another bike, but am waiting for one that really appeals to me. Thanks for viewing and commenting!
Starzship. the Pilot. My bikes were all dirt bikes.......Do it in the DIRT.....throw in some 4x4's, beer, guns, girls, beach, lime stone cliffs, and rivers.....equals something.'Frio, First Science Officer.
Yeah! dirt bikes are cool! i never had one but rode my neighbors when i was a kid. we rode it an empty dirt lot and made dirt ramps and wooden ramps for jumps. that's when i first got interested in motorcycles. I would love an on and off road bike now too, so I could ride down railroad tracks, empty lots and then get back on the street. I never had a gun though. Sling shot and bow n arrow. i had beer, girls and the beach. GOOD TIMES!!!
Starzship, the Pilot. Funny thing. When you are a kid you are allowed to ride dirt bikes, 4x4s, jet skis in the mniddle of the lake, etc. My grand father gave me a 20 guage shot gun when I was 12. I have about a dozen rifles and shot guns (Plus a couple of modulators). You really should get a .22 for target practice. Before the Government takes that away. Frio, First Science Officer.
My first bike was a 93 Nighthawk. Great starter bike. But didn't have enough punch or hard luggage. So I got a new 07 VFR800 with some factory saddlebags. Love it. Much more power then the Hawk had.
My VFR800 has the factory hard saddlebags, which come off in about 3 seconds. You can store a fullface helmet in one.
I got the VFR because of the luggage aspect and because it's also sporty. I might lack power for 2-up riding (never had a passenger yet) and it's not the fastest bike. However, it you're looking for something with a bit more storage then say a tank bag and lockable too, it's a great bike. I was looking at the VTX1800, but didn't like the wide handlebars or low exhaust.
I dislike guns but I also know in a disaster, like hurricane Katrina or other times of civil unrest such as LA riots, the police can't be everywhere and private citizens have the right to bear arms and protect themselves.
Starzship, The Pilot, You just dislike the guns fired at your ship. This week back home in Texas we walked down to a low water crossing to shoot up boxes of ammo. One member of the patrol said it was better then making out with Earth Women. Frio, First Science Officer.
Absolutely they are afraid.........At least the intelligent ones are.
As for beer........I love this Earth Human drink. I drink with humans all the time in disguise. I have partial season tickets to a baseball team and go to consume much beer and observe Earth Women, it is amusing. Frio, First Science Officer.
I also was looking at the Honda ST1300, sort of the next level up from the VFR800 as a tourer. It has shaft drive as well as an electricly powered windshield. It comes with the saddlebags unlike the VFR800. But costs between $14,500 and $15,600 if you want ABS or not.
Cruisers... remind me of Harleys. Harleys are too sluggish and noisy for my taste. Plus they just vibrate your fillings out. So what if you get chics. You have to watch where you stick your wick nowadays.
"so what if you get chicks" hahaha man I'll get a harley just for that reason. but if my fillings all fall out, i doubt they'll be attracted to my toothless smile! haha what i need to do is to ride one, never rode a harley or the new rice burners. but my nighthawk still makes me happy for now....
Truthhurts18, the chrome skulls are belt buckles sold at malls, swap meets, etc. Cost about $8-$15? just grind off the belt buckle parts.I use JB Weld to attach bolts (rough up the head of bolt) onto the back of the skull. Then drill hole the bike side panel, secure with lock washer & nut. the resin skull in the back under brakelite was from Pet store, for an aquarium! $5 bucks. Used JB weld too. Really cool resin skulls are on ebay too, some painted with designs.
Hey United Kingdom! Thanks for viewing! My geography is not the best, so I looked up mapquest. United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. You got a motorcycle?
it is! you have good eyes FFSO. I don't use the anti-gravity/multi-time dimensional mode much lately. the humans spotted me hovering over a Florida airport and made too much media exposure so I'm laying low. for now.
Check out blueflamealley on youtube. now that's something I would like to do to a bike someday... I've had up to 8 skull stickers on my helmet, but now only 4 or so...
Starzship the Pilot. Yeah but it was you over Denton, Texas. Some one even got a infra red video of you above their deer feeder. I like the digit photo of you giving them the peace sign. Frio, First Science Officer.
Starzship the Pilot. The Air force denied anything in the air over Denton. Then admitted there were 10 F-16's on a training mission. They have not comment on the photo of your ship hovering over a deer feeder except to say "Nice model, it even has a Alien waving a you". Frio, First Science Officer.

Skulls on a Nighthawk? Should've picked a more agressive bike.

I always like the nighthawks, in fact I thought about buying one of the 750s when they first came out but I passed it up at the time.
I have to dig my bike out and make a vid, I'm looking for some cheap camera brackets so I can take a few rides to compile some footage.
Most likely it won't happen until after june 28th.
