  • guitar playing noises!!!

  • thumba up if you were playing black ops and your screen said unable to read disk!

  • ITS A NUKE BOOM lol

  • It says:

'Get this fuking disk out of me!!'

  • What The F*ck You Think Would Happen To it If Your Did all that O.o

  • LOL YOUR WII'S REALLY FUCKED :P

  • @mexmex - let me know if it works for you. I am a computer technician but fixing Wiis isn't something I'd tried until yesterday. It's still working and I have been reminded how bad I am at Rock Band.

  • My son had dropped the WII and it wouldn't read DVDs any more -- the noise in the video is exactly what ours was doing. The fix is rather simple. If you can figure out how to open the WII case you'll find the laser that reads the DVDs. On mine, it had basically stuck itself at the outside edge of the DVD reading surface. I simply took a screwdriver and nudged it gently back toward the middle. Before putting everything back together I plugged it in and tested it, and WA-LA -- no noise. FIX!

  • @davestahr if what u say is true im gonna open up mine and do what u said cause nintendo will repair mine for 54 bucks but it seeems like an easy fix u should do a tutorial about this issue it would help alot of ppl

  • wow. Interesting xD

  • My wii isn't working right now except mine rumbled and gave me a disk error now it doesn't read game discs... do you think it is a laser problem?

  • The laser is dead, I think

  • di di di di di di di di di di di di di lol

  • anyone know what I can do? When I put a disk in my wii, it doesn't make this sound but a vibrating noise which makes the game impossible to play. Any suggestions?

  • @MiChiamoEpic take off the cover and put a washer under the metal plate so it doesnt bang into the disk is my guess

  • Same with mine my lil sis put tooth paste all over the game and put it in it didn't work ever since this was yesterday

  • for mine i was playing a game then it made a funny noise and said an error has occured so i turned it off cleaned the game and put it back in and it still diddnt work i tried all my games and it diddnt work, what should i do

  • @saw4650 same here at first only nba live didnt work and cod did but then none worked

  • Just fixed a Wii with this issue. There are two metal tabs that move up when a disc is inserted. It gets bent and stops the disc from moving. If your wii plays gamecube games but jams on Wii games, then this is most likely the problem. Simple fix. Just bend the tabs back (away from the center of the drive). You should have a fixed Wii drive.

  • @jjw13k dude can you help me out cuz i read ur somment and i tried a gamecube game and it worked

but i dont how to open it up and what metal tabs

  • @62convertible You will need a Tri-wing screw driver (ebay 3 bucks). To take the faceplate off of the Wii, You will take off the white stickers on the left of the faceplate - 2 black tri-screws. Lift up the GC controller top- there is a black screw in the front to take out. Also, black screw on the bottom of the wii under rubber foot. Faceplate comes off. Two metal tabs are inside the drive. These need bent back towards you. You may have to pry the bar down (lifts tabs up) to bend them toward you

  • okay so i turned on the wii didnt press any buttons and insterted a new game took out the one that was there and tyhen when i tryed to play it it said to like look at the manual when the flipin game was going fine someone help me plz because its not even scratched thats wat gets me ticked.

  • @thedarknesstelie yeah me too i just freakin bought a new game took my old game out and then it tells me to look at the manual

  • Mine does that too!

im gonna have to buy a new one if i cant fix it

  • the wii makes better music than wii music

  • my wii just says cant connect to internet when its connected just fine

  • DUDE Same here!!!!! its wierd

  • i have the same problem :(

  • Wow, I thout my wii was bad, u just re-assured me, thanks man, I feel better now :-)

  • Does this work for you? becuz it didnt work for me

do u mean like unplug it?

    plz answer all these questions

  • do u know another way to open a wii without a triwing screwdriver?

  • there is one way to open a wii without a triwing screwdriver.

take a dremal and start cutting.

    but I would recommend

    this.

  • can u describe what a dremal is

  • extremely small flat head screw driver

  • scary if that happened to me!, i would freak out!

  • I have that problem but only on 2 games, the discs are perfect and it loads up on the channel screen, but when i try to play it, i recieve stupid sounds and an error message stamped on ym screen

    haaaaate

nintendo website said i should phone niintendo about it?

  • mine does that too but not that fast it does that when the game is first loading then every so often when im playing the game but it still works fine

  • Dreakeito and maxthrustmust have it spot on all I did was move/unjam the laser and hey preto fixed, Thanks guys.

  • Some of the other comments people have made may help you. I didn't fix the drive I bought a replacement and then sold on the broken one.

Good luck with your drive autopsy!

  • I have the same problem, how do you fix this(my wii is already disassembled so i am willing to do whatever it takes by messing with the inside of the drive)?

  • Proper technique would be to remove the right hand side panel from your wii, loosen the disc chamber panel, and take the disc out. now come tothe box with an optical blue laser on it. This is the malfunctioning mechanism. unstick and grease it. Now replace the disc and play your wii.

  • The laser is jammed. Get the disk out (to see the laser) and unjam the laser which needs free movement over the disk surface.

  • I replaced the drive. I expect that fixing the drive is possible but getting the right parts etc could be tricky. If what Maxymyles says is correct then I guess you would need to hunt down that part.

  • reply if anybody knows how to fix this problem because i have the same problem

  • Reply if anybody knows how to fix this problem

  • i think its trying ito rap!XD

  • Its the sled drive chip

That noise is the laser moving up and down due to no focus ok from the disc

  • Not that I know of. The lever moving thing only seems to work if the disk won't load or eject properly. In my case the disk was loading and spinning up fine it just wouldn't read. I think replacing the drive or the laser unit is the only way to sort it out.

  • exact problem to me. any fix if you move around the levers of the loading thing?

  • In the end I got a replacment drive from a website for £50 and did a swap out myself. I sold the old one on eBay (with a link to this video so they knew it was broken) and got £20 after postage and fees. I guess they are hoping to repair it or make use of the spares.

It seems there are a lot of problems with Wiis breaking which is a shame!

  • lol mine does the EXACTLY same thing! noise and everything lol. my bro and i were playing brawl and i got alittle too excited and dropped the wii :( 80 bucks to repair...
