These acoustic sets always feel a bit awkward for this band, it's like they're playing acoustic while their gear gets repaired or something (I know that's not the case, but it feels forced).

No. That retarded track listing is a fuck up by some retarded data entry person at Gracenote or whatever other CD track database there is. Track 4 on the disc is the only track that is "Miranda, That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore." 5-12 are ALL "Cassandra Gemini." End of story.

i think A Vade Mecum (part A) is actually the four minutes of coqui, and soundscape buildup. I'm pretty sure this is Pour Another Icepick.

that's because of universal, who made TMV split the whole cd; otherwise they would have payed them only as an EP album which.. isn't the case with the 76 minutes long of FTM.

FTM was supposed to be a whole 1 track album, and the last part of it was Cassandra Gemini (it only has one N by the way) which starts in Pour Another Icepick.

It's just politics from Universal, it has nothing to do with what TMV consider Cassandra to be.

Miranda was meant to be only part A, Vade Mecum.

Universal claims those three parts to be Miranda's, but TMV always have said it's Cassandra Gemini.

the "Geminni" thing is also an error made by the album cover designer, or whatever.

If you notice it's only marked as Geminni in the back of the album; tmv's webpage states it as Cassandra Gemini, and even the album cover's interior.

It's a printing error.

I think that when The Mars Volta play their acoustic sets it is significant that it is the three former members of At The Drive-In. It shows how much they have matured as musicians. From kick ass in your face music to music that is so beautiful it creates an experience that can move your soul.

the guy that posted this said the most innovative/progressive - rock band. good but thats crazy. compare them to bach,yes,zappa,camel,genesis,king crimson,jan hammer,pfm,elp,pink floyd. they all did it when the volta's parents were teens.this sounds like fucking dave mustane.

Mars Volta happens to be the only progressive band you can hear on the radio.

Currently, theres plenty of relatively unknown progressive bands out there that can open serious cans of musical whoop-ass at the drop of a dime.

squarepusher or aphex twin are better. and you need to listen to genisis' first album. metallica's one is an exact rip off of the knife on genisis live, but yes took it farther than any one. you should also listen to big fun and bithes brew.

it was mislabeled on the online CD tracking. this song, track 4, is called miranda that ghost isnt holy anymore, tracks 5-12 are all cassandra geminni
