  • This video is way better when people quote the funniest lines from this and everyone votes them up so it's the first thing I see.

  • Viersche loved it blooming alien realty infringing idealist surrealist concepts

  • hahahaah the penguins poor educational system

  • Meanwhile, in the Kremlit....

  • Looks like an early version of Jagex's KGP, the "Killer Gentoo Penguins". I guess this is where the got it from.

  • This postulate remained with him until his death. *Doctor gets shot in head with arrow*

  • 4:54

It would've been better if that we're a woman's head being sucked in :P

  • Marconi actually stole the patent for radio from Nikola Tesla. So could Marconi have invented the radio if he hadn't by pure chance been been a stealing asshole?

  • I was expecting for one of the non-English speaking people to say, "KWAAAAAK."

  • HÉy_î_féÊl_so_lÕNÉlý_tÕÐÅÿ

  • Tesla invented radio.

  • This and the village idiot sketch are the 'most intellectual' Flying Circus stuff.

Btw I have no trouble with Benny Hill.

  • Quite consistent research design, isn't that?

  • KKWWWWAAAAK

" Did he say 8???" lol

  • why don't they make things this funny anymore!

  • The Benny Hill show is damn funny, but the jokes are all sexual innuendo and are usually mocking, like the way he taps the old man on the head - funny but any clever dick can come up with these sort of jokes. What makes the Pythons great is that the theme of their sketches, are totally absurd and not many people can think such things up. Old ladies ganging up on young men or the self defense sketch are testament to this fact.

  • And so penguins seize important posts and replace world leaders - the Duke, the visiting Russian ministers... .I wonder if Terry Gilliam hated Nixon that much to replace him with an Emperor Penguin.

  • Most of America hated Nixon and he was eventually replaced by a real turkey.

  • 24 people are BBC programme planners.

  • Actual, there is a factual error in this sketch, Marconi didnt invent the radio, Nikolai Tesla did

  • "A team of our researchers spent 18 months in Antarctica living like penguins. . . and subsequently, dying like penguins" I love this line so much I want to marry it.

  • LOL at Eric 's 'Hello?' at 4:05

  • Spam, spam, Penguins, Penguins, and spam.

  • 5:00 - and the scary thing is that the KGB warned Brezhnev all about "Operation Penguin." For some reason Eyebrows thought it was all just a bad joke about Burgess Meredith and ordered them to be on alert for anyone wearing a purple bow ties, monocle, and carrying an umbrella.

  • 1:01 - Rare and precious video footage of Professor Ken Rosewall (of the Laver Institute) in his prime. And Dr. Peaches Bartkowicz too! Goodness, what a treasure. Founders of the white lab frock and white tennis shorts combo.

  • In soviet russia... penguin replaces you!

  • look at those bloody communists filling the bloody world with bloody penguins they can't afford to bloody teach how to speak english....

  • Oh and another question. Is that Terry J stripping in front of the camera, yet again? Love him! :-)

  • Love it! :) Which Flying Circus episode was this in?

  • "But- and this is the point- it is LARGER than it WAS."

wow, what a revelation! who'd have guessed?

  • Russian Boulder. xD

That was from the "A Book at Bedtime" sketch!

  • Viva Penguin Revolution!

  • This is funny.

  • yeah but then its monty python!

  • Penguins are funny.

  • Love the cartoon depictions...! Lol

  • Haha graham chapman does quite a good australian accent.

  • Oh My god...I LOVE Eric's hair! <3

  • 0:58

    mr flibble would disagree

  • "The BBC Programme Planners suprisingly high total here can be explained away as being within the ordinary limits of statistical error. One particularly dim programme planner can cock the whole thing up."

  • This reminds me so much of the research methods class I had to take. Twice.

  • I apologisein advance for the nitpicky comment. I only just noticed that Cleesey wears his watch on his right wrist. Most right-handed people I know wear it on the left. Then again, most left-handed people I know wear it on their left wrist, too. Anyone else think that's interesting?

  • I'm right handed and I wear my watch on my right hand, as does my Dad and sister.

  • I don't have a watch, I take an extra two and a half seconds to look at my cellphone for the time. Two and a half seconds I'll never get back.

Two and a half seconds a penguin would never waste.

  • nope. I'm right handed and I wear it on the right hand too.

  • cool

  • lol 1:06 HI!

  • Yeah. Those arrows must HURT!

  • nothing compares to MP :-)

  • These guys are so funny.

  • It is LARGER than it was!

  • My guess would be the penguin would have done a better job!

  • Lol, this has to be my fav out of the ones i've seen so far ;)

  • OBEY THE PENGUIN

  • Oh Heck! I never saw this one in the original, despite being British and of the Python generation. For me it was all new.....

.... and first sight of the 66 foot penguin pretty much reduced me to helplessness!!

Thanks Pythons. You still do it for me! Ha ha!

  • And gotta love Terry Gilliam's animations!

  • Without a doubt!

  • flightless wet-footed little bastards!

  • Comment removed

  • "Could Albert Eintstein have ever hit upon the theory of relativity if he weren't clever"

  • "Could Marconi have invented the radio if he hadn't by pure chance spent years working at the problem?" Genius :)

  • - "The penguins do not speak English". Epic.

  • waste of time theory

  • What a cruddy day to play tennis. :(

  • I think it'd be an excellent idea to replace Prince Phillip with a penguin...

  • Same for Bush, but he's gone, and good riddance

  • Hilariously random that the scientists are Australian tennis players Ken Rosewall and Lew Hoad. The python boys' attempts at australian accents are a bizarre mix of english, australian and new zealand accents.

  • Dr. Peaches is a hottie

  • You could say that again!

    Michael Palin = <3

  • 2:30 :D:D

  • Benny Hill isn't even worthy of a bit part in a Python sketch. They were brilliant and beyond their time on many levels. To say that Benny Hill is funnier than Python says volumes about your intellect. (or lack there of)

  • I much prefer Python (and the Marx Brothers) over Benny Hill and the Three Stooges-

But really, it's two different styles: comedy vs. komedy, the wit of John Cleese and Groucho Marx vs. the slapstick skills of Benny Hill and Curly.

Both are good (for their stlyes), I, and apparently you, just prefer The Pythons and Marx Brothers' witty retorts.

  • Yup.

    Well said.

    I love em both.

    British comedy FTW ^__^

  • FTW :)

  • @kookymon Did you really just insult someone for saying they prefer Benny Hill to Monty Python? Wow.

  • They're both funny.

  • @kookymon i go back to my high school, and of course every kid loves the Holy Grail but nobody has watched the god-damn show....

  • @BagpipeHustler

The Holy Grail is a great movie but the show is where some of Monty Python's best humor is.

  • @IrishEyedBlue good thought! don't most people think that :[ during the earliest screening of the film, apparently the only joke anybody there really hollered at was the "no he 'asnt got shit alloverem!"

  • @kookymon I like the Pythons AND Benny Hill. What does that say about my intellect, fucknut?

  • the penquin educational system can't be much worse than the California educational system, thanks to the CTA and the NEA. Iguess if the penquins had a union, it would be the PTA. LOL

  • Penguin Education system is better. The penguins learn everything they need to know, Californian students do not.

  • You Californians still get more than we do on the WJEC- welsh joint education comittee

  • If we increase the size of the penguin to the size of a man... Oh boy this is great!

  • "Subsequently dying like penguins"

Funny as all get-out if you ever had to (been forced to, coerced into) taking a research methods class.

  • genius!

  • AHAHAHAHHA!!!! Everything about this is just fantastic!!!!!

  • I wish a penguin was running for President instead of those 2 know-nothings. HAIL TO THE PENGUINS!

  • Sounds very australian indeed!...:) Except for the interrogator there "Wod is se next numbe?"...:)

  • I don't think i caught it or not..but are they supposed to be Austrailian? lol

  • liked the yells of agreement from the audience when Heath and Nixon were swapped with penguins. And I'm sure the penguin did say 'eight'!

  • Relevant and brand new!

  • I think there might have been problem with Graham's pants

  • I think there was somthing wrong with all there pants.

  • Is it my imagination or is that an Australian accent attempt? but Monty Python = GOD

  • Was Graham naked?

  • Right when the video gets to 5:07 pause it and look up: 'So says I' by The Shins

  • They really like to tease the BBC xD

  • MOAR SPAM

  • Spam, Spam, eggs, bacon and spam

  • I DON'T LIKE SPAM!!1

  • Python team warming up: "Do re mi fa spam la ti do!"

  • "Could Marconi have invented the radio if he hadn't by pure chance spent years working at the problem?" hahaha

  • John Cleese is God.

  • And it's infinitely easier to prove he exists.

  • Vote for penguin fascism!

  • 5 stars !

  • bastard is kind of john cleese's catchphrase

  • Haha 3:06 = LITTLE PENIS

  • LMAO, finally some good Day time Tv

  • is this about Linux? :O

  • monty python rule there stuff is classical

  • It wasn't racist against the bushmen - it was an ironic joke about society. If it was racist about bushmen they'd have been at the bottom of the list and not BBC viewers - i.e. at the time most of the British public

  • My apologies - it didn't say BBC viewers. All the same, as they are mocking the BBC Programme Planners, wouldn't they have put them above the Bushmen? Anyhow, it's not racist.

  • It wasn't racist against the bushmen - it was an ironic joke about society. If it was racist about bushmen they'd have been at the bottom of the list and not BBC viewers - i.e. at the time most of the British public

  • This is cømpletely hilariøus

  • I, for one, welcome our new penguin overlords.

  • Whát!? You would betray the righteous cause of the Pidgeon Liberation Front? Heretic!

    :P

  • Bah!

The People's Pidgeon Liberation Front is far more worthy of you backing.

  • "The Judean People's Front?!"

    "No, the ROMANS!"

Sorry, your banter reminded me of Life of Brian.

  • i fucking love that movie lmao

  • Would Freud be as famous if his mother hadn't invented the lollipop?

  • Penguins rock

  • could the penicillin guy found penicillin if he cleaned his dishes.

  • Actually, what happened was that he was conducting a different experiment but accidently left one of the petri dishes in the wrong conditions and mould grew on it. He thought that the experiment was ruined but he realized the mould had killed off the bacteria. Fascinating, isn't it?

  • Would Einstein have hit the Theory of Relativity if he had not been clever? Would Rutherford have ever split the atom if he hadn't tried? Could Marconi have invented the radio if he had not spent years and years working on it?

    Deep stuff.

  • Would Soviet Russia ever invent the Intarwebz if not for the dirty Hungarian phrase book?

    That my friend, is deep.

  • LOL! 66 foot penguin. Monty Python are brilliant.

  • Better than BBC programme planners? Hilarious

  • chapman in such tiny shorts is a big distraction.. i could barely follow what was being said, hahaha. (consider english is not my first language.. so the required undivided attention of my brain was being affected, heehee.)

  • Wow, weiner at 3:05

  • Cute penguins.

  • Web-footed little bastards=penguins. Brilliant!

  • Sounds to me like they need another fat government grant to continue this vital research. Write your congressman (unless he's already been replaced by a penguin.)

  • better than bbc programme plannners is the bestXD

  • "Spam, spam, spam, spammitty spaaam, spam spam!

Would you take spam spam spam spam baked beans spam spam & spam?

  • "But, if we increase the size of the penguin to that of the human, the penguin's brain....... is still too small."

  • Do you know absolutely nothing about Monty Python? They're English (British) accents.
