I love this song! This is great. I'm wanting to move to a DAW system and I'm considering either Logic Pro 9 or Cubase 6 ... I'm still studying the issues. I think my main issue is that I know the PC base very well and nothing about Mac. Your musical talent in this song makes Logic very temping!

@jbubzipopsicle Yep. But it doesn't mean I didn't work hard on it. Who doesn't imitate an artist they like when you're first starting something? Music, painting, poetry, whatever. People learn by imitation. This is one of my older songs and my new album isn't going to be so Owl City-ish. I learned a ton from imitating Adam's stuff but now that I have the knowledge I am able to create my own unique sound. My intention was never to be an Owl City clone.

@RINGMASTER1118 GarageBand is better?! What on earth are you talking about? Logic is Apple's professional music program, GarageBand is their consumer program. Trust me, I used to use GarageBand, and I got so frustrated because eventually it severely LIMITED my musical abilities. That's why I bought Logic. I've had logic for a year now and I'm still learning things about it, whereas i long ago exhausted garagebands resources.

@connerschultz12 The kit I used is a kit I compiled in Ultrabeat from a bunch of the other kits. I'll post a tutorial on how to do this and where I got these kind of sounds. Thanks!

@mikeyjabz You mean like what instruments? One huge reason it sounds diff from my hello seattle cover is cause I used Logic here, instead of Garageband. As for the instruments, I used the ES2 synth, the EFM1, Ultrabeat with a custom made drum kit, and a custom instrument for the chords.

@underthecouchPRO They are all actually my own recorded samples which i made into a drum kit. Really simple stuff. For example, i recorded myself snapping, and then hitting different objects against my palm (that's where you get a good "snap" sound). Hope that helped!

Does the whole mix have some kind of spreader or stereo sample delay on it? The phase goes out in places.
