8-12 hours? Where are you getting your info from? Link please. Everything I'm reading says at least 72 hours, and that's in an emergency situation. Most take several more days. Can take weeks or even months, depending on the quality of the samples tested, as well as the circumstances they were collected, and urgency of obtaining the results. So far I haven't seen anything to validate your claim.
In the case of Saddam Hussein "they" claim DNA was determined within 24 hours. So lets say that's possible. From what I'm aware news outlets made the OBL DNA match claim some 30+ hours ago on May 1st around 10pm EST. If the Government's story is true, that he was killed on May 1st around 4pm EST, there is no way his body was recovered, then transported back to where it was allegedly tested for DNA, and have results determined by 10pm EST. Now Reuters claims DNA results aren't in LOL

They already had a sample from his sister, and since BIn Laden not really worried about losing blood, they had all the sample they needed. Plus, they used facial recognition technology. 8-12 hours? Where are you getting your info from? Link please. Everything I'm reading says at least 72 hours, and that's in an emergency situation. Most take several more days. Can take weeks or even months, depending on the quality of the samples tested, as well as the circumstances they were collected, and urgency of obtaining the results. So far I haven't seen anything to validate your claim.

In the case of Saddam Hussein "they" claim DNA was determined within 24 hours. So lets say that's possible. From what I'm aware news outlets made the OBL DNA match claim some 30+ hours ago on May 1st around 10pm EST. If the Government's story is true, that he was killed on May 1st around 4pm EST, there is no way his body was recovered, then transported back to where it was allegedly tested for DNA, and have results determined by 10pm EST. Now Reuters claims DNA results aren't in LOL

@StevenM818 From what i can tell, they got initial positive results in 8 hours, which you can do, but the full dna test isnt over yet. They already had a sample from his sister, and since BIn Laden not really worried about losing blood, they had all the sample they needed. Plus, they used facial recognition technology. So it is confrimed. Ill have more as the story develops ; )
