Keep practicing.....your head and heart are in the right place musically, but you need to give the music the personality and beauty it richly deserves; do not be concerned with speed; slow down and enunciate each phrase rather than blowing through them like you're in a rush for a hot date. Don't give up, keep on going no matter what anyone says; follow your heart and your fingers on the guitar will follow! Nice initial attempt.
Good evening to you! May Music fill your life with joy.
It's amazing, enlightening, and heartwarming to hear someone your age play this piece. I was very impressed to hear it done on electric, where you can take advantage of certain tonalities that acoustics just don't offer. And while you have a slight bit of sloppiness in your technique (which you'll outgrow as a player and eliminate as an experienced 10-year+ player), you have the heart and the essence of the piece in your ears and in your
Years ago, I was standing by the sea in northern Germany listening to this song dreaming of doing what you have done. I love that you have done it you're own way and on whatever kind of instrument you choose. Don't listen to snobbery. Keep doing what you're doing. Peace.
The fact that a 14 yr old girl appreciates such a masterpiece as Mood for a day is very refreshing, it was good to hear her play her own take on it on electric rather than accousic giutar, ive bookmarked this page as it brought a smile to my face, keep up the good work Sarah im sure Steve Howe would be impressed....John....aka..... yes_cat
@swordgarna I AGREE! Why must negroisms replace our fine white culture and language? Especially disturbing to hear a young white girl forsaking her own culture. She's a fine and gifted guitarist. But please spare us the hip-hop lingo.
sounds fantastic not my kind of music id say but wonderful indeed... if your that great you may want to invest in a higher quailty setup... i just made a vid of me just jamming on my acoustic if any1 is interested...
Steve Howe would probably flip if he saw this. Undoubtedly, back in 1971 when "Mood" was created, he had no idea talented kids almost 40 years later would be looking up to his great contribution to music.
This small homage is outstanding.
As for all the naysayers bitching about how it's not "note correct", they can all eat a bowl full of dick.
Damn --give this girl a break--if she wants to play mood for a day and give it some whammy bar and jazz the whole thing a bit, then why not----its not a steve howe copy--shes poutting her own twist on it and it sounds great to me-----FREEDOM
what in the f**k where you thinking to play this on an electric guitar? you blew off some of your talent already, b/c you could do so much better on classical which is what it's meant to be played on
ok, how's this for constructive criticism: you are absolutely adorable and very very talented. mood for a day is not only a beautiful piece, but also a complex one that requires a level of skill to play that most guitarists never reach in a lifetime of playing. Well done, my young friend!!
Very good, just need to relax a bit, you may find sitting up a bit straighter will help and getting more right hand control so your pinky stays closer to the fretboard, we all never stop learning on guitar, it is what makes irt so amazing!
aw, its all good. just next time try giving a compliment instead of downing someone. it doesnt feel very good getting slammed. i just hate that when someone is trying their hardest at something on these videos and people just shoot em down.youre not so bad yourself. i am also self taught and i applaud you for that.
good god man leave the girl lone. i think its pretty damn awsome. are you a professional? probably not. and i know that as soon as i post this you are going to try to defend yourself, just like people always do on the damn internet. proove that you are better.
