@kylecj96 Thanks--I appreciate it! I remember watching the instruction video that was posted for a little while a couple years ago--showing the fretboard and note position--but seems either it was pulled or inside another video--I should have paid more attention then. Thanks again.
@drybog yeah you know its the same not d full song cus songs contains the intro verse chorus bridge and outro like for ex.help intro is played in bm ,g,e,a thats played in the chorus while verse chordss played in the 2nd verse
@heybulldog98 i guess in the dvd its not played in the full song just the important actuyally play verse and chorus and they teach the riffs and solos
@kylecj96 i meant like actual lessons and like not this compilation vid but i bought volumes 1 and 2 and they are like you said just the important thing
Rob: Do you have any experience with the other Vox Tonelab models (the LE, SE or ST units)? Have you ever tried the Janglebox compressor? Lastly, are all those fantastic Beatle guitars yours?
i am kinda bummed out that there's no bass too (i guess i'll have to stop being lazy and figure it out myself). but this is still super awesome. you can tell he's really taking his time making sure everything's accurate. i'll be picking up one of these next time i get some extra cash for sure rob.
Hands down these videos are the best tools for anyone wanting to learn Beatles guitar songs. I only wish Rob would do a Piano to a tee series. There are so many Beatles songs that are wrongly played on youtube.
Rob... I just got Volume 4 DVD. I only got this DVD because I thought that you were going to show us how to play on Helter Skelter the guitar part after Ringo shouts "I got Blisters on my finger" at the end; the three "blistering" chords.
In these videos Rob Taylor shows you how to play certain parts of the songs in slower videos that are shown at the end of the real time video. He numbers them so you know which slow video is playing which part of the song.
One of the astounding things about these videos is the accurateness of your distortion sounds. You've got the Let It Be Rooftop/Ive got a feeling John lennon distortion down soooo well it drives me crazy!
Do you use pedals? which ones? overdriven amps? modeling amps? Please let me in on your secrets!
All electric parts were recorded direct using a Vox Tonelab (desktop model) Nothing was through an amp. I found this to be the most convenient way to do this since there is such a vast array of sounds needed. It's a cool little unit! Thanks.
@tatvidprod Hi, great job on all 4 dvds but is there any chance you will make a 5th? There are so many great songs left. (One after 909, Back in the USSR, Octopus's garden, Sun King, Yer blues, Everybody's got something to hide...)
I own the DVD and Rob Taylor (guitarist) explains that most of his guitar work is played through a VOX Tonelab, except for the intro for Revolution. On that he borrowed someones Reel to Reel tape recorder to simulate the distortion.
In fact my next purchase will be the Vox Tonelab. I do have my collectio of Beatle guitars. Anybody can see some of them if they visit my profile page.
Thanks all. That guitar is a home-built. The guy said he used either real sonic blue paint or a paint that was perfectly matched to sonic blue. Can't recall as it's been a while.

Well Done, that was exceptionally good!!!
You play the guitar real fluently and clean..
And you have all the 'Beatle' guitars which are awesome!
How much was your rickenbacker 325 and where did you get it from, just curious?
Also the effects you use on your guitars sound nice and replicate the real songs to pitch! Good job

In these videos Rob Taylor shows you how to play certain parts of the songs in slower videos that are shown at the end of the real time video. He numbers them so you know which slow video is playing which part of the song.

It took me a while to figure this one out. That means that Rob is going to show you the part in a slow example after the song finishes.
