That segment is such mismanagement from TNA. The guy is quitting and go to WWE, a competitor... At the place of keeping it calm, they do an over-the-top angle, giving him a pop and making people wonder "what next with Christian..."
Sure, it took 60 days for WWE to put them on their show, and it was not the greatest return ever... But did they need that free pop?

But aif we're just talking about today;s wrestlers, most WWE stars are made in their developmental promotions like OVW or FCW, or other no-name promotions (like NYCW, etc). Which, really, is how its always been...

A lot of Americans got big in Japan first too, from Benoit to Hogan. Ring of Honor is the only one who can truely claim their talent as their own. Even half of the ECW guys were ECW original.
TNA have great talent yet still rely on pushing WWE and WCW(ironic cuz WCW kinda did it too) stars instead of their own. WWE tries to make its own stars nowadays

@1rubi11 It's because they acknowledge WWE way too much. Obviously, WWE know who TNA are, but when have they ever mentioned or even acknowledged that TNA existed on WWE programming? I don't think they ever have. My point is, TNA should adopt the same attitude. If they thing big, they will eventually be big. If they keep acknowledging that another wrestling company, that is a lot bigger than them, exists, then they are going to fail big time as a company. That's just the way it is.
@FutureScotDerek but there is a huge diference between TNA and WWE. One guy once said, when you are #1, #2 doesn't exist but when you are #2 you'll do anything to be #1. WWE doesn't acknowledges TNA not because of an "attitude" is because doing so they'd be giving them publicity!. If there is 20 viewers, 15 watch only WWE and 5 watch both, TNA can mention WWE to those 5 but WWE can't mention TNA to those 15 because they don't want to let them know that there is something else!
@rellik619555 I have to agree and also disagree. I agree that WWE has been lackluster over the past few years. However, over the past couple of months, they've really made some drastic changes to their booking. They are finally realizing that guys like CM Punk and Christian are more talented than most people on the roster. Also, the divas booking looks to be getting better. Beth Phoenix and Natalya (My 2 faves) are getting their push now, instead of having Kelly, Eve and The Bella's each week.

The Irony of it all is kind of funny for the fact that Beside the 2011 Rumble Kevin Nash actually wants a role to play in the WWE and Booker T is currently a color commentary for the WWE and Kurt Angle had given it some thought but he still want to stay maybe only for a matter of time.
The fact that WWE is a PG show sucks. A big part from the WWE Universe are kids, who believe that what they are see is real. That's why they have such a huge Impact. On the other hand, TNA makes history with the WWE supperstars. That's what I call a good strategy.

TNA still thinks it's the 1990s, and that mentality is what's screwing them over.
If Eric Bischoff ran TNA alone, it would have been ok. Now its just unbearable with Hogan giving in to the non-TNA fans shouting "MORE STORYLINES" and also his own ego.

@1rubi11 It's because they acknowledge WWE way too much. Obviously, WWE know who TNA are, but when have they ever mentioned or even acknowledged that TNA existed on WWE programming? I don't think they ever have. My point is, TNA should adopt the same attitude. If they thing big, they will eventually be big. If they keep acknowledging that another wrestling company, that is a lot bigger than them, exists, then they are going to fail big time as a company. That's just the way it is.

@FutureScotDerek but there is a huge diference between TNA and WWE. One guy once said, when you are #1, #2 doesn't exist but when you are #2 you'll do anything to be #1. WWE doesn't acknowledges TNA not because of an "attitude" is because doing so they'd be giving them publicity!. If there is 20 viewers, 15 watch only WWE and 5 watch both, TNA can mention WWE to those 5 but WWE can't mention TNA to those 15 because they don't want to let them know that there is something else!

@rellik619555 I have to agree and also disagree. I agree that WWE has been lackluster over the past few years. However, over the past couple of months, they've really made some drastic changes to their booking. They are finally realizing that guys like CM Punk and Christian are more talented than most people on the roster. Also, the divas booking looks to be getting better. Beth Phoenix and Natalya (My 2 faves) are getting their push now, instead of having Kelly, Eve and The Bella's each week.

Part 2 of my explanation.So the point here is WWE has something to lose by mentioning TNA.. TNA doesn't have anything to lose because they have 1/4 of the ppl that watch WWE also watching their product.
There is not a single person that watches TNA that doesn't know what WWE is.. that's FOR SURE.
So I there is nothing to lose to TNA, you say that they fail cause they mention WWE but that doesn't affect the product at all. they fail cause they have morons running the company.

@puffy700 Stop it. Evolution wasn't made up of all former world champions. They were made of 2 former world champion and 2 guys who later became world champion. MEM is a stable of all former world champs. Big difference here.

The Irony of it all is kind of funny for the fact that Beside the 2011 Rumble Kevin Nash actually wants a role to play in the WWE and Booker T is currently a color commentary for the WWE and Kurt Angle had given it some thought but he still want to stay maybe only for a matter of time.

The fact that WWE is a PG show sucks. A big part from the WWE Universe are kids, who believe that what they are see is real. That's why they have such a huge Impact. On the other hand, TNA makes history with the WWE supperstars. That's what I call a good strategy.

@MunteanuLeon And that's why WWE is consistently beating TNA in the ratings: WWE has adapted to the times, while TNA hasn't. The fact of the matter is the majority of pro wrestling fans today are kids, and Vince knows this. All the millions upon millions of fans that made wrestling uber popular in the 90s don't care about TNA; they're now adults and have since gone over to UFC. That's why UFC is uber popular now. TNA still thinks it's the 1990s, and that mentality is what's screwing them over.

If Eric Bischoff ran TNA alone, it would have been ok. Now its just unbearable with Hogan giving in to the non-TNA fans shouting "MORE STORYLINES" and also his own ego.
TNA was so great back in the early days. It died once it hit SpikeTV. Thanks for ruining yourselves TNA.

The Miz overshadows MEM due to his must see WWE Champion according to Michael Cole. Also, Jack Swagger could be a bigger star than Sting or Kurt Angle combined. By the way, Booker T is doing commentary with Cole, sure that he call him a punk and he deserved it.
