@DasDaan yes it was, i have seen arrows over a thousand years old used by the chinese that whistled and they had about 30 or more diffrent types of whistles. not only for signaling troops, but an added noise factor to distract the enemy.

I think it would be pretty cool if you fired the arrow to fly close by and past the camera's mic; without nailing your camera of course. This way you would hear the Doppler affect when it goes by.
