Really good, controlled lighting is a must. I'll try to get a better feel for the stop motion- I use to just move them around with a stick!

Yep I mean the set, not lighting since I already got that down. (like what did you use to make the trees and stuff)

For the trees, I got a bag of moss and some small sticks from the craft store. I also realized that playdoo is amazing at holding stuff together- so that holds up the trees. My snow is diced up fake feathers, and then I grabs some rocks and branches (to be logs) from outside. I discovered varied textures are very important and powerful when everything is miniature.

Nice! Thanks for the help. For the snow that  I use, I use that fake "erupting" snow (add water and it looks like snow after it "erupts". But I could never figure out how to do trees.

i simply think this is amazing! i love the philip glass opera and think its a shame you can't purchase it on audio (anything). cheers!
