  • Hearing an opera in my native language is so awkward hahaha

  • How much time does it take you to make one of these?? It's amazing! I sure hope you continue to lego-fy more operas. You're a genius!

  • I cant get to the second part! :(

  • a question to cocteau specialists: did he see any of the universal horror films, especially "the wolfman"? i ask because the beast's make-up bears a marked similarity to the wolf-man's by jack pierce.

  • Second part?

  • I saw the PGE do this live in Madison Wisconsin around 20 years ago. When Glass came out to take a bow at the end, the audience erupted!

  • This is my favourite movie of 2008 certainly.

I love your mistranslations, the aesthetic and you've done a great job of editing down the score.

  • awesome!!

  • That was great!

Have you try a Lego Satyagraha yet?

  • Definitely needs some extra frames but I think the idea is AWESOME!!!

  • And I need to ask how you made these sets look so REALISTIC

  • Really good, controlled lighting is a must. I'll try to get a better feel for the stop motion- I use to just move them around with a stick!

  • Yep I mean the set, not lighting since I already got that down. (like what did you use to make the trees and stuff)

  • For the trees, I got a bag of moss and some small sticks from the craft store. I also realized that playdoo is amazing at holding stuff together- so that holds up the trees. My snow is diced up fake feathers, and then I grabs some rocks and branches (to be logs) from outside. I discovered varied textures are very important and powerful when everything is miniature.

  • Nice! Thanks for the help. For the snow that I use, I use that fake "erupting" snow (add water and it looks like snow after it "erupts". But I could never figure out how to do trees.

  • i simply think this is amazing! i love the philip glass opera and think its a shame you can't purchase it on audio (anything). cheers!
