I honestly didnt know that about modeling. I find all different races very attractive, if the person is attractive. And I think it is horribly sad the fashion world views it differently. I have a friend who is Japanese, and is hands down the most gorgeous girl I have seen. She could make Heidi and Adriana bow down.

Uh can you read? Nobody said anything about Victoria's Secret traveling the world in search of models. The ORIGINAL post/issue here was referring to the lack of diversity amongst models in general. Modeling agencies, designers and the fashion industry has an overwhelming preference towards WHITE models. If you don't see that then you are both blind, stupid and in denial.

honestly, i don't know how stam even MADE vs 2005 and 2006. she's one of my favorite models, but the girl is so bony, pear-shaped, and most of all she is COMPLETELY flat-chested. when you look at pictures of her at VS her boobs are miles apart because they had to push them  up so much...

Because Asians are short. These VS models are all around 5'11" ~ when these models stand next to people of average height, they literally look like giants. An Asian girl would look very silly on the runway next to them.

Pinkdiamonde is not talking about putting RANDOM short asian girls off of the street. Asian models of model height do exist. She is questioing why VS doesn't use at least one. China has a population of over 1 BILLION, do you think they don't have at least 1 VS worthy Asian model on planet Earth?? Impossible.

OK, remember that the 1billion in China ain't all females. Next, compare that 1billion to the 5,785,509,350 other ppl on planet Earth, most who are taller than the avg Chinese. Not a very good chance of seeing an Asian face on the VS runway. & most Asians live on the opposite side of the world from VS main headquarters. I know tall Asians exist-but just because there's one or hundreds/thousands Asians who are VS worthy doesn't mean they WANT to be VS models.

You can make a million excuses as to why there are few Asians on the runways but the FACT of the matter is that the industry is racist and limits the number of spots in shows given to non- whites. They CAN put Asians, Indians or whatever in the shows but they CHOOSE not to. Asian fashion magazines are filled with white models so I understand why youre brainwashed into thinking that Asians and other races either cant or dont want to be models. Casting in Milan- signs state "NO colored models"

I'm just sticking up for VS here, not the modeling world in general. I would be very surprised to learn that VS is racist enough to not hire an Asian model, considering many of their top models are colored. When I first posted a comment here, I was trying to think of reasons why VICTORIA'S SECRET doesn't have Asian models since this is a VS video.

I'm not very interested in the modeling world outside of VS. It is what it is. YouTube arguments won't change anything.

Ok, so VS is going to go fly over to China and search over 1 billion people to find a model? Umm, no. You obviously don't get how it works. First the girls have to actually MOVE TO THE US. Then they get scouted and signed by an agency. Then the agency refers the models to VS. VS agents don't go TRAVELING THE WHOLE WORLD in search of models.

jessica stam probably booked a job that paid much more better than the show. with models you can never know what's going to happen on a daily basis. sometimes they get booked for jobs etc, etc. she'll probably do it next year if she has time.
