What got me about this movie was Bob, not Jesse. In a big way I would have felt bad for Bob. Being treated like dirt all the time, but he still was one of the gang. I dount know why they call Bob a
"Coward". He shot the most deadly man in America, how is he a coward??????
@mr92over People think that because he was better than the law. His ethos was more generative of sympathy. It's a fact that his legacy exists, it's a fact that people feel admiration for him. You may not understand, Javert, but the institutions of law are unresolved and alien agents are capable of ethical superiority over its offices.

@daftrhetoric This song plays in the background of a Turkish TV ad showing how harmful cigarette is.Doesn't bear any meaning in terms of Turkish culture actually.
This score brought a tingling sensation from within me, from then on I knew this film would gracefully fall into my favorites without fail. Truly an amazing picture.
It is certainly one of the most, if not the most, underrated film of this decade. For all of you boys and girls who are sitting suffering and thinking : "oh why why oh why didn't this get universal acclaim?" Don't worry. you're not alone. :P
Loved every moment of this movie! It has action in it yet it brings you back to the calm and beauty of the old days a time when every thing was a little more simple and there was no obligation or need to own high tech stuff! It's amazing how there's so many deffrent songs and yet i remember every one like i just heard it!
Only thing I thought it could have done a titch better with was on the final part of the movie... it think they kind of crammed too much in a 17-minute window. No academy awards, though. Ha. Some 'academy' that is.
@jboehme19 I think the reason is because the original script was written for this to be a 4 and half hour long movie but then they made him cut it down and it became a 2 hour and 40 minute long movie, so that could be the reason why it seems so crammed at the end
This is my favorite western of all time. It surpasses a huge number of westerns. It's sad that it was completley over shadowed by the 3:10 to Yuma remake.
@TheSwagManifesto yea. its a great film. the only thing is they did get a few (not many, but a few) facts wrong. like Bob Ford never said the things about "jesse james is devil may care" and all that. and they didn't have that many people when they robbed the Blue Cut train. and Robert Ford wasn't part of Jesse James gang until him and Charlie come back when Bob is working in the store. thats when Bob joined the gang. Jesse James didn't really know him unitl then
A flawless, nostalgic, melancholy and sombre work of divine film art, sublime in parts, harrowing in others - managing to capture a single essence of a by - gone era. Beautiful.
Movies like Jesse James or The Proposition, or The Road, would not be the same without beautiful music like this. This kind of music makes us appreciate great films like this to an even bigger extent.

@hollowman9514 Let's see: compelling story and intelligent script? Check. Great acting across the board, with Oscar-worthy performances from all the principles? Check. Breathtaking cinematography that will be taught in film schools for years to come? Check. A haunting, beautiful score that stays with you for days afterwards? Check. . . . No, sorry, can't use it--kind of too long, no chance for Burger King tie-ins, etc., etc., blah-blah-blah . . .
great music, about the great story of the confederate veteran jesse james who did not give a damn about much anything after the fall of the confederacy, and took what he wanted when he wanted. 5 stars
