As for me endangering my neighbor, no he did that the moment he broke in to her house. I endangered myself only as a Good Samaritan by becoming involved by making a choice to do so. Something not many people do. As the video attests I think I kept the homeowner out of harms way (end game) and certainly she could have busted his ass as you say.
Why film it? Because it helped ID the guy to the cops. It also showed how inept the City of Edmonton Police were at responding to a 911 call placed by three different people, including by the homeowner during the actual break-in.
As for the beat his ass comments, I will simply say that calmer heads will always prevail and the outcome is pretty clear. Got the dude out, and as the cop said afterwards had I beat his ass I would have been the one charged.
I walked over to my neighbors house with a cup 'o good cheer tonight. She had a baby girl.. named Tierra. Mom and family are all fine. She's a cool gal indeed... and coulda kicked this dude's ass without my help. Which OBTW, I spotted taking the garbage out the other night. Yah... welcome to my neighborhood eh!
