It is great to see Father and Son together. What a sensational voice Allan had when he sang the song "Alone" in the Marx Brother's movie "Night at the Opera"! What a crooner tenor Allan was back in the day. I wish that we could hear Allan and Jack both singing in their prime together. I always felt that Allan had the smoother and richer voice, but Jack sang mostly jazz which required a different type of voice. He is still a great singer!
I went to high school with Jack (in West Los Angeles in the mid-50s) and had the pleasure of backing him at the school assemblies (I'm a piano player)-- at 16 he was just as good as he is today -- an amazing talent and a very nice guy. I met him at a concert in Escondido in '01 -- same old Jack ... as cool as ever... a real gem of a person and a great singer.
icould care less about the songs, sorry. but these two old dudes are cool together. Never knew the guy who sang the Love Boat was a cool dude. although you can see in the love boat clips even though he has white hair like his pops, hes still got a little lady killer in him. thats how i want to be
Jack Jones...a musician's musician...one of the best voices I've ever heard of...congratulations Mrs. Olivia for that rare treat...Luiz Roberto from Rio, Brasil...

Jack Jones didn't come by his talent by accident. It's in his genes!

I had all of Jack Jones' LP's when I was a young man in the Philippines. Here in Toronto, I can't even find a CD of his. it is frustrating.

Rent "The Firefly" (1937) and watch Allan Jones sing "The Donkey Serenade" to Jeannette McDonald. It's an utterly delightful scene and song.

Allan was no slouch, either.
He was in a couple of Marx Brothers movies, "A Night At the Opera" and "A Day At the Races."

Hi.
That would be wonderful, if you could. I think he's the greatest crooner ever.:D
Thank you! :)
