I was told to just think of one side of the equations are negative numbers. For example you could skip an entire step by just saying -5x + x = -4 -10 + -1 = -11

omg! you've helped me more then my teacher has this whole semester. I have last chapter test tomorrow and finals on Wednesday... I am also going to watch all your videos.. on rationals.
