You have done a great version. As a Scots speaker I wonder if you get it. Pulling gowans is a pun for hanky panky. The whole song is about drinking... stowp and waught being measures... it's so sad that this is not seen. the Kremlin do a live broadcast every 25 Jan and they just don't get it!
