I like Dante in this game, even though he is very quiet. Hes alot more mature in this game. It looks like something that happened between DMC4 and DMC2 has changed him. BUT Capcom said, it was just a failure... -_- That sucks. But if they want to keep this game canon, they have to give a reason to Dantes new personality. He doesnt they "Jackpot!" but at least the song thats playing when hes shooting Argosax is called "Jackpot!" ^^
I don't buy that "something bad happened to him" crap, the writers were probably too lazy to come up with good one-liners. Dante's family was murdered by demons when he was a little kid, did he get all quiet after that? Nope, he got CRAZY!
@Tyrik73 no dont u see this dante is dmc 5 dante just more matured if u look closely at either ones features besides the hair ull see their the same its just the younger dante didnt grow into his form till later i have a feeling thats the story dmc 5 will show us as the game gets closer to the end plus rebellion doesnt look all that nmuch like rebellion so its obviously not the dante from 1 3 and 4 plus boths attitudes are roughly the same very angsty

No No. The story line goes 3, 1, 4, and 2 Trish is not in 2. Dante in 2 is the most powerful Dante form because he is much much older, it is 70 some odd years after the events of the first one and 40 some odd years after the events of 4.

Argosax has no clearly defined facial features, but you can still see the "oh, crap" look on his face at 1:24.
