The LTR may be faster, but a Yamaha is the best quad to ever be on a trail with, hands down. I find it hard to say this because i love Honda's also, but it's just all around better.

@junkymustangs your absolutely right! stock for stock the only quad that can keep up in a race is the ktm 525 xc and the 505 sx. Nothing else comes close. I will say the 700xx has more top speed and will eventualy catch me and pass me. But IRS is a freakin joke on a racer. Same weight riders... My 2009 stock se will kill all stock 450's in a race even with lighter drivers.

i ride bikes and quads. each has certain things it does better. for tight stuff and just messing around on jumps and hills a bike is more fun, but for high speed trail riding or just flat out hauling ass a quad is the way to go.

I think there is a lot more body movement using a quad and its a fuckin workout especially when ur on a powerful quad. And going up a hill on a quad is hard, especially a rocky hill because u have to maneuver it, unlike a dirtbike because it can fit through much more crevaces

660 craptor doesnt stand a chance against against and ltr450, especially on a hill drag. as for the yfz it too doesnt stand a chance with equal experience riders, i own both and the ltr is quicker even with the yfz moded.

depends on how long the straight away is your dragging on. LTR's are geared low for the track so off the line I guarentee I would smoke you. Obviously your top end is higher. Its not exactly saying much winning a drag race though anyway.
i would not say slowest, i think the yfz, trx and ds might have a bit more top end but i can almost garauntee you, you put any of them up against one another, the zuke will have it off the start ez. They geared for low end.

ive got a raptor 700 and a kfx450 the raptors to me sit up to high and i like the low, squaty feeling of a 450 and the bottom end speed and the fact that there so easy to ride wheelies on... as far as speed goes my raptor used to outrun my 450 until i put an aftermarket exhaust of the 450 and then it was on from there
I never had a problem with my 700 and its been through alot. I didnt get one to race, i got it to ride around in trails. The racers feel to small for me and just arnt made for my type of riding. I like the feel of the the raptor and its perfect for the type of riding i do. Thats just my opinion, just like everyone else has their own opinion.
That's right, 450 infront of the big 660. Even the 700's aren't much, especially to an LTR-450. Stock for stock, I'd go 450. The 700 is a waste of money.

250r's are insanely fast. Probably one of the best quads of all time. The truth is that a raptor is a lot heavier than a 250r, and that makes the difference. 250r= race quad, raptor = high performance sport quad. I know a guy who has a race prepped 250r and it's the fastest quad I've ever seen.
no they remade the raptor because they wanted it wider and longer put different suspension on it then while they were at it the made a fuel injected motor which the 660 keeps up to i have 2 660's 1 modded and stock both of them take the z400 like nothing and they both beat the 450 the only thing that would let the 450 win besides the trx is the fact that the 450's can rev higher allowing them to get a better take off my friend has an LTR450 i beat it over and over

660 craptor doesnt stand a chance against against and ltr450, especially on a hill drag. as for the yfz it too doesnt stand a chance with equal experience riders, i own both and the ltr is quicker even with the yfz moded.

depends on how long the straight away is your dragging on. LTR's are geared low for the track so off the line I guarentee I would smoke you. Obviously your top end is higher. Its not exactly saying much winning a drag race though anyway.

i would not say slowest, i think the yfz, trx and ds might have a bit more top end but i can almost garauntee you, you put any of them up against one another, the zuke will have it off the start ez. They geared for low end.

ive got a raptor 700 and a kfx450 the raptors to me sit up to high and i like the low, squaty feeling of a 450 and the bottom end speed and the fact that there so easy to ride wheelies on... as far as speed goes my raptor used to outrun my 450 until i put an aftermarket exhaust of the 450 and then it was on from there

I never had a problem with my 700 and its been through alot. I didnt get one to race, i got it to ride around in trails. The racers feel to small for me and just arnt made for my type of riding. I like the feel of the the raptor and its perfect for the type of riding i do. Thats just my opinion, just like everyone else has their own opinion.

250r's are insanely fast. Probably one of the best quads of all time. The truth is that a raptor is a lot heavier than a 250r, and that makes the difference. 250r= race quad, raptor = high performance sport quad. I know a guy who has a race prepped 250r and it's the fastest quad I've ever seen.

no they remade the raptor because they wanted it wider and longer put different suspension on it then while they were at it the made a fuel injected motor which the 660 keeps up to i have 2 660's 1 modded and stock both of them take the z400 like nothing and they both beat the 450 the only thing that would let the 450 win besides the trx is the fact that the 450's can rev higher allowing them to get a better take off my friend has an LTR450 i beat it over and over
