  • What about overpoulation?????? Wouldn't that become a greater problem?

  • Hey...hey.......the narrator... I know that voice anywhere..... it's Jonathan Frakes!!!!! YEAHHH RIKER!!!!

  • Even if you lived 900 years, imagine how ugly you'll look, dependant on everyone cos you'll be physically and mentally weak. No one wants that

  • @queenzakiya91 uhh no one of the main points of scientifically prolonging life would be remove aging effects and with the techonology in the future im sure old appearence could be fixed

  • @EXALTEDDIRT One thing to say..This is a history and science channel. Now unless an episode comes along PROVING the existence of the God you worship can you please stop worrying the crap off of people who are actually susceptible and believe what you say. You're just one face in a crowd of billions, As am I, now if you don't mind, Leave this comment section for people who plan to use it contructively and sensibly. Have a nice day :)

  • 115 years old damn!

  • You're all going to die. Your dna will be used in a weapon against you..SOON.

  • Great, just great, I won't be able to retire until I'm 962...oh fucking joy!

  • Is it me, or does the into song sounds like spidermans first movie theme

  • immortality is just a theory that will never happen. I would rather have an eternal life than spend more time than neccesary here..

  • Why do they take the bible in to this? it's a fairy tale that has no scientific value.

  • @madichelp0 The bible is a fairy tale as well, so they certainly belong together.

  • ask yourself this question. if 'God' loves all humans, why did he create justin beiber? i did 'God' in inverted commas because i am an atheist

  • Eternal life is spiritual, we are spirits and when we die our spirits will leave our bodies. If we are not born of the Holy Spirit of Christ we will be lost and won't know what to do.

You can't know Jesus by just reading about Him in the bible, you have to know Him by the Spirit. THE BIBLE IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST!

  • @BIBLEisMARKofBEAST ok i agree on the first part but the bible is not the mark of the beast but the guide and the truth. "IF IT WERNT FOR THE BIBLE YOU WOULDNT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAITH AND BELIEF OK AND JESUS BECAUSE ALMOST EVERY CHURCH IS THE PART OF THE BEAST OK?

  • @RomanJulliEmperor243 You are the greatest person in all the world in all of history, greater than superman, you're saying that you can take a book and KNOW Jesus Christ from reading it. WOW, that is a miracle. Please tell me all about George Washington and Elvis Presley. This is amazing, I didn't realize that you could know someone from reading about them.

THE BIBLE IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST.

  • @BIBLEisMARKofBEAST Oh really you think your in the kingdom ok... 1. Pray in the holy spirit. 2.Ask the heavenly father to tell you what the bible really is. Trust me this works if you have faith will al your heart and if your in the kingdom like you stated.

  • @RomanJulliEmperor243 I was in the Holy Ghost and Jesus revealed to me that the bible is the mark of the beast.

  • @BIBLEisMARKofBEAST You was or are lol.

  • who the hell wants to live forever!!

  • @AngelEyesz89 All Christians. Thus the reason the suspend all sense of reality to beleive such rubbish.

  • Eternal life exists already in Eastern orthodox Christianity from God for 2000 years almost now. John 6:54

Protestantism has renounced food for eternal life replacing it with symbols, words or NOTHING.

  • You know, I used to like the History Channel.

Then they started showing Ancient Aliens, conspiracy theories, and accepting specials on the most bizarre and nutty of hypotheses.

What's next? The history channel special on how a Giant Space Turtle created the universe?

I used to learn things from this channel. Now the only thing I learn is how crazy some people are. GET BACK TO THE HISTORY!

  • @imperator332 this is all based on facts

  • These people are going about living forever in the completely wrong way.

  • How about not practicing eternal life

but instead resurrect dead people back to life .....

  • @BeamSurfer

    dude? wtf?

  • I want Heaven!

  • Yeah, Michio Kaku also said that third stage civilization, the civilization would be immortal.

  • I am 1 Quadrillion years Old, God created me to Create the Human Race...... I am from the Anunnaki and God has ordered me and my crew to Create the human race on a Planet called Earth ...... Okay, don't you see where I'm getting at?

  • I'll be alittle more ok with immortality when its also packaged with sterilazation so we don't become overpopulated

  • So, you know the standard to what's good or not? How can you in all honesty know that living forever would be bad? What is reason? Do you consider only what we know to be reasonable? As far as materialism is concern, we've always have been, otherwise we wouldn't bother with creating civilizations and continuously creating better tools and technologies to improve our standard of living. Mind you though, this is been going on with the earliest humans. The fact is as humans we never confortable

  • if we live forever....we're gonna have a serious traffic problem ... talk about overcrowded everything ...

  • Eternal life... Possible but life in different forms before human life their was dino life. God says I AM.... when YOU start to describing YOURSELF YOU would usually begin with I AM..... THINK ABOUT IT!!!! Why would a Universal Creator think like a human anyways not even a program software think like a human. A MAN with supernatural powers? PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE!!!!!
  • Wear alex chiu's ring to live an eternal life.

  • ...Are they really talking about THE BIBLE??

  • 1000 years is hardly eternal, but come on, by that time, what else is there to do? I would imagine after living that long, one would wish for death out of sheer boredom!

  • @jshweid nah it wont get boring, life is goooood. and i like being concious, i dont want to be non-existent again like i was before i was born.....i like to know im alive. it feels good to be here. :)

    yeh, im scared of death.

  • @acejacko23 Think of it though, even if you get bored, you can go to sleep for a thousand years.

  • @jshweid Or life would be so precious to you at that point that you never wanna die. There's so much to do and see in the Universe anyway, one would hardly get bored. There's no reason to think that this planet will be our only domain.

  • @jshweid its like when you get to round 25 in black ops zombie playing solo. it just get boring....

  • is that spiderman theme

  • humans are pathetic.......

  • @hanrinch And what are you?

  • alien that will eat your brain......

  • @hanrinch Oh yeah, why?

  • Comment removed

  • We keep scewing with the natural flow of life, creating new problems. To what end?

  • @Neurolanis until we cure disease and alleviate suffering and death ;-)

  • Well, since we keep creating more, that'll be a very long time..

  • If we try to go against nature, that's nature too.

    Chew on that for awhile.

  • yeah lets just stop all human advancement and be hippies

  • That's another extreme. Let's be wise instead. How about that?

  • @Neurolanis Problems have always been there. Were just discovering them

  • @Neurolanis Why resist it, there is no natural path, simply a path, which can be altered. Do not cling to what has been because as time goes on, new insight, new ideas, and so on challenge what has been, for it existed ignorant of these new ideas, insights. It is why I argue that people welcome new discoveries instead of clinging to our past beliefs, it traps us and prevents progress.

  • @Neurolanis Oh come the fuck on if somebody offered you eternal life you'd take it you douche.

  • @idkwhattonamemyself NO FUCKIN WAY!

  • @Neurolanis I CAN TALK IN ALL CAPS TOO!

  • @idkwhattonamemyself So can ANYONE lol. I don't appreciate being called a douche/liar and that was my natural reaction. I would not accept immorality and I am not alone in feeling that way. It's a crazy world and one lifetime is long enough lol.

  • @Neurolanis No one should tell you to accept it provided that scientific researches allowed for the possibility of immortality. That's should be your own choice if you lived to see it.

  • @Neurolanis The natural order of things involved not cleaning our water, not creating vaccines and let 1/2 of our kids die by the age of 5, not creating surgical procedure to save lives, not making medications to fight off diseases and infections and die by the age of 40, not growing and stocking our food, not wearing glasses if we have bad visions, or not taking any medication to treat our illnesses. Nature is f$cking cruel and create a whole lot of awful stuff, are we supposed ignore them

  • @Neurolanis to ignore them too because that would because mother nature might be upset? If a love one needed a transplant would you oppose that? We've been tempering with since we first began civilization. That's all!

  • @petion2010 It's all within reason. But we've been ignoring that since civilization began.

  • @Neurolanis The only reason you think that they're all within reason is because all these advancements were made and that you've not only accustomed to them, but you accept them to be normal. If you lived 40000 years ago, your existence would have consisted of nothing but a small group of a dozen or a dozen and a half people roaming the land in search of food. You probably would have never met more than 200 people in your lifetime. You'd be completely at the mercy of the weather. Any change

  • @Neurolanis that affect even animal migration pattern would have most likely starved your band. You'd lived to about mid or late 30s, if you weren't killed in big game hunting or by predators. You really think that if you lived back then, you could have ever imagined a world like today? When humanity settled down and became civilized, did that suddenly made us non human? The one constant is that as human society evolved, we always adapt and redefined ourselves.

  • @petion2010 Intelligent comment, but actually I meant that we should use reason in wisdom. So, medical benefits and living longer is good, but not forever...it's within reason that it makes sense.

Good points about how things have changed. Not sure if I would say we've lost ourselves (as we've always been looking for ourselves (growing/evolving) but I think we are feeling disconnected from ourselves. We are too into materialism/material thinking. We need to get back to ourselves, spiritually.

  • @Neurolanis with our existence. As far as spirituality is concern, it only offers a hope in a life after death. I want it to be an after life eventhough I don't believe in one. As desirable as the promise of an afterlife is, spirituality and the belief in one don't guarantee any? What if this is our only existence and nothing come after but eternal oblivion? Have you thought of that? We can never know what will come next if we are able to live forever and we can never fully predict how human

  • @petion2010 If everything we do is natural then nothing would be unnatural; rape and child molestation included. I'm sure you'll be forced to admit that we are capable of unnatural acts, therefore unnatural creations. You don't need to prove a moral case in wanting mortality if it's something you really want; it's your life and choice, like suicide and lifestyles are choices (whether right or wrong.)

  • @Neurolanis Hope? Reincarnation would offer more hope (if it happens) because that way people are born anew. Immortals would just harden further with their beliefs. Although some do age wiser, many of them become more stubborn with age. I don’t see how immortality could be argued as a way forward when it’s clearly a conservative idea lol.

  • @Neurolanis What if reincarnation is just a myth? What's make you think that it's not just bronze age man hoping for a new life. What makes you think that think when people are reincarnated that they're not reborn with their same character. The assertion that age make people more stubborn is no completely truth. People can change with age. Also with immortality, wouldn't there also be more opportunities to explore new world and and spread humanity across galaxies? They're a lot of opportunities

  • @petion2010 That's why I said "Although some do age wise..." I was stating that not everyone is the same or ages the same.

I stated above that there was nothing wrong with desiring immoratlity. Seems you're just putting words in my mouth now. Yeah, agreed it's time to end this.

  • @Neurolanis that you're ignoring just because you think that there's something inherently wrong with wanting immortality. We're will never agree on that, so,let's stop arguing and agree to disagree.

  • @Neurolanis Rape and child molestation are wrong because it involves an individual forcing his or her will on a victim. In our society and in Western society, this is deemed wrong. Many societies blamed women when they're raped. Ancient Greeks and Roman saw nothing wrong about older male having "boy" lovers. However, we've evolved socially. Sometime it's impossible to tell what's right or wrong. I just find it hard to argue against life.

  • @Neurolanis race and society would be like, but there's no reason to think that we'd be less human. Nature and evolution have been tampering with their own creations in a less than perfect manner. They create cancer, arthritis, Alzheimer's, deadly viruses, and a lot of unpleasant stuff. Since we're part of nature, why would tampering with it and ourselves be unnatural? We've been doing it for milennia.

  • Man's unending quest at playing God.

  • Well, God created us in his image.... so it's not wierd at all.... Man is godlike:P

  • @kimeradon: -- God created us in his image-- how do you know ?

  • @kimeradon stfu god desen't exsist

  • @PaperMan431 I do very much agree

  • @kimeradon ur intelligent :)

  • @kimeradon - Man created god in his own imagination, not the other way around. God does not exist, and if he did, he wasn't a very good creator...nature is so much more fascinating.
