Giving up a homerun to a pitcher isn't as horrible as some of you seem to make it out. They're hitters until they reach professional baseball, when they're asked to choose one or the other.

John Olerud was a two-way player in college, hitting .464 with 23 homers in 1988 but also posting a 2.49 ERA and a 15-0 record and 113/39 K/BB in 123 innings. I don't remember anyone bitching when he took'em deep. "That guy was a pitcher! Aw! Fuck my life!"
