  • I thought mars had an equal of 1 % density of earths atmosphere...how can a parachute be effective in that kinda environment?....also how does it generate massive planet gobbling sized dust storms?

  • Tell me please, Is this the real plan of Nasa project?

  • The landing procedure seems awfully complex. Let's hope it works.

  • Wow.....This is absolutely amazing!

To conceive of this, engineer it and send it on it's way is truly impressive. This video with animators and artists' renditions melded into a remarkably fluid and surprisingly captivating and engrossing look into how this mission may look, just boggles my mind.

Good luck to this mission and to all the folks who've made this possible.

  • good job...I like the last separation, it's like, GOOD LUCK, I'M OUTTA HERE!

  • The lazer will help get samples for the bot. It then takes it back into its littleab inside and runs tests. Can't wait for the launch. Im so stoked to be going.

  • what does the lazer thing do.

  • great vid, but the most complicated landing sequence i've ever seen. too many things could go wrong with it. not to mention that if the first seperation doesn't happen, then it was all for nothing.

a real landing would have a much simpler design to limit any chances of things going wrong. having said that, this is still some of the best concept work i've ever seen. awesome!

  • @Watcher40000 Just a little advice. Do some research and you'll understand why they are choosing this method. They need to land in a precise location that doesn't allow for the "Air Bag Landing". It's much bigger as well than Spirit and Opportunity.

  • @Watcher40000 Besides...It's exploration and ever since humans have explored, they've taken into account that IT IS RISKY! All exploration runs the risk of too many things going wrong. Remember the Titanic??? Too many variables occurred just in the right order to make that a disaster.

I think that's why NASA and JPL have to keep underling to the ignorant citizens in America that space exploration is a very risky business. Even in fiction adventures, shit happens.

  • two things- 1. Absolutley awesome vid 2. I think the rovers are huge immense waste of money and i highly highly doubt that the real life landing etc will go as smooth as this vid! Just looking at the rovers themselves theyre fully not made to take dust storms, they can tip and break easily and can also be crushed by falling rocks and even `sliding` rocks from the desert winds. I just dont beleive that these little rc cars could do half of what they have said, or even most of the pics it sends!

  • really sweet video thanks 4 posting

  • This is pretty cool, but I kept waiting for an alien to pop out or some kind of alien structure to appear, lol

  • FAKE !.!.!.! :D

  • The 1 person who didn't like this invented the beagle.

  • Oh I see !

this version dosen't even have any Solar Panels !!

    Ha Ha Ha !

It miraculously receives all its power from another machine in orbit !

Maybe it has the Antichrist himself inside it hey.

    Bad joke.

Millions if not Billions are still dying of hunger on this SICK PLANET.

  • @RadioPsiHAWKlogCent0 You really are retarded. Do you even have a clue? I think thinking people are sick of morons like you who no matter how much evidence is there to prove this (not to mention that Spirit and Opportunity have taken millions of pictures and performed thousands of experiments that are all there for those you can read and reason.

Do you believe you were born or do you need 2 million photos of your birth to prove it. Do you also doubt your existence too???; you ignorant fool.

  • @LennonHat I do have about 5 million pictures of me being born !!

And none of them have human artifacts in places they shouldn't be :-)

Also the sky hasn't been painted red and they show shadows from the light in the correct places.

Also the cameras that took them had a power supply that was capable of doing the cameras job without having a bunch of tredless tyres that never find any soft or dusty ground to get stuck in.

Even with those pictures I still find some of my dreams more real than this

  • hopefully this time they will have better pictures...

  • The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission says the 2,000-foot berm at the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station collapsed about 1:30 a.m. Sunday

  • did anyone see the thing moving in the distance at 6:00?

  • Great movie ! Thanks for posting.

  • Amazing NASA have discovered how to find rocks in a computer game they must be so proud all that money and effort to impress the public by showing what nasa could do and then they dont NASA Never A Straight Answer. Nasa Stop mucking about and go back to the moon.

  • @Peltris Yeah, and airplanes should still be flying only at Kill Devil Hill NC too. We should all shun advancement. Tell Dr. Jonas Salk that he was wasting his time. I want vacuum tubes to come back, not to mention my rotary phone and dial up internet access.

We should ban ATM machines and phones without wires. Let's all just relive cherished moments from our past. We won't advance much but things would be much less taxing of your comfort zone.

Life should emulate the movie Groundhog Day

  • they should put a hpi baja5b on mars

  • this is SCIENCE, people... the future!

    religion can never do that

  • how will we know when they just spend enough to make us a fake video and hoard the rest for themselves to play around in space and continue to suppress the truth from us? think about it...

  • Ancient, research droid?

  • looks like a 2011 version of the "thunder-birds", i was honestly waiting for Nigel to step out from the rover mid way through :)

  • @SolarWatcher It looks a little like the robot from the movie wall-e

  • WOW, Love this stuff !!! 100 / 100 !!!

  • Hey!! Let's solve world hunger...naw lets send a dune buggy to Mars! Sweeeeeeet.

  • Thanks for uploading. That was awesome.

  • That is an amazing video, Thank you for sharing it Peace,,,,,

  • @Jerry2665 Peace my friend, it was very well done, the animation is awesome.
