  • Thanks gra8 its working.....!

  • i forgot to uncheck where it says let windows choose a key something like that i unchecked so now its not asking for a key i hit connect and it doesnt connect i cant figure out why my wireless network has a x on it

  • @DJLILJ10 Sorry, for the moment I am out of Ideas. The Nintendo DS for example doesnt work, but it can still find the signal. So I dont know what to tell you but keep trying.

  • well its not asking for network key anymore my tablet is not picking it up or my phone im running windows xp my laptop still has red x and still not connecting

  • @DJLILJ10 Did Windows ask you to write a network key or your Tablet? Windows should only go to the "On Demand" mode and from there it should be visible. Try making a new network, seems like something went wrong.

  • Ok i figure it so it wont ask for network key but still wont connect next to the name it says on demand

  • @DJLILJ10 You are very near. That "On Demand" means that the Network Card is now sending a signal that your Tablet should be able to find. I didnt explain in this Video how set a network key, so I dont know where you activated that. Any chance you are using Windows 7? Then you might need more the Win7 Version of this Video I made. /watch?v=eUBRCAJg2pQ

  • now it says requires network key i left i blank clicked connect then it says please wait while windows connects then it goes back to the list with the connect box on the bottom still red x on wireless

  • @DJLILJ10 The red X only dissapears once you connected your Tablet successfully to your Network.

  • somebody please help i have a red x on my wireless network i cant get it to work my phone or tablet does not find what i created please help

  • @DJLILJ10 You have to click where the red X is, select the network that you created(as explained in the Video) and hit "Connect". Then your Tablet and Phone should find it.

  • Android cant connect with adhoc network...how can i solve the problem?

  • @Anjobaba I never had any problem with the Android from my Dad. Maybe you some mistake, check the Tutorial again if you missed something. If the Ad-hoc doesnt show up on the Android it usually means that the Computer is not sending the network which is explained in this Video, if you can see the Connection and the "connect" fails, then it is possible that your Android Phone is not compatible. If everything fails you can still try with connectify.me . This software can sometimes cause miracles.

  • Hey?..i have a laptop that runs vista. Well i tried creating an adhoc network and i succeeded..but the only problem is that it wont connect to any network now. How do i go about connecting to the network

  • its not wrking, pls help me, not connected

  • can this work with da windows 7???

  • @334millertime You can check my Windows 7 Version on my Channel

  • mine says "on demand" and it doesnt say "manual" how do i change on demand to manual?

  • @MrShanemaloney Usually hitting "Disconnect" should do it. Otherwise you can still go into the Network Configurations and shortly deactivate the Wirelesscard with a Rightclick.

  • @MrShanemaloney Also, "on demand" means that it is sending and waiting for a Computer to join. So that would be what you are going for.

  • @maximumrisk2004 ok, i got it to manual, and automatic, but it says " wireless connection (not connected) with a red x through the wireless conection, so it wont connect anyway lol, im connecting using a usb wireless card, i want to connect it to my ethernet cable, then connect to the wifi using my android phone, any suggestions? thanks

  • @MrShanemaloney Okay, lets go this through step by step. You need your Ethernet Network to be set to share the Internet connection. Once you have the Ad-hoc Network set-up for the Wirelesscard it should be as simple as hitting connect and then start searching the network with your Android Phone. Usually it should say "Waiting for Users" in that state. As alternative its always helpful to first try connecting to your Network with another Computer. If this works there should be no problem with etc

  • @maximumrisk2004 i clicked share, but the wireless network connection still says "Not Connected, Firewall" awww

  • @MrShanemaloney Go to the Wireless Networks, click connect on your Ad-hoc Network you made, and then go over to your Android and let it scan for the network and also click connect from there once it found the network.

  • @maximumrisk2004 i click connect, then it says not connected lol

  • @MrShanemaloney Okay, sorry but I got nothing. I am back on XP myself at the moment and I cant recreate what you describe with my best tries.

  • @maximumrisk2004 ok, thanks anyway man :)

  • can u make i for connection PSP to internet using Windows 7

  • well i tried it with a eithernet cable to laptop and i turned on shareing..

    doesnt work

  • @frank0067 Sorry for the late answer, been busy. You need a socalled Cross-Over cable if you want to do that. Thats just like a normal Ethernet cable just that its connections are configured differently.

  • what has wireless got to do with a cable connection

  • @frank0067 No matter if you decide to do it per wireless or with cable. The configurations to make Internsharing working are the same.

  • Thanks. This really helped. It only took a few minutes. Danke!

  • can u tell this for windows vista. plz

i want to use internet on my psp by connecting it to my laptops internet's connection

    plz help

  • yeah, once i had this ad hoc thing runnig, i always have the iphone connected but i tried by reseting it and then went on the ps 3 but still no signals. Have u tried it on a ps3?

  • @2261135 I didnt, but many have already Posted that it works with Ipad, Iphone and PS3.

  • noo, the thing is that, the ps3 isnt picking up the wifi signals, and neither is my psp picking up the ad hoc signal but my ipod and iphone are getting the signals?

  • @2261135 That is weird. Normally that should be impossible. More things can connect to the Adhoc at once, so connect your Iphone and once that works try again with your PS3. It has to show up in the network list.

  • do u happen to know, how to use this ad hoc on ps3?

  • @2261135 Taking that your PS3 has Wifi, the configurations are the same. You just have to find the manual configuration for the IP´s in the PS3 menu and enter the configurations for Comp2(as explained in the first part). Everything is again explained in the descriptions.

  • how to do this with vista, can u tell me, plz

  • @2261135 The configurationwindows are the same, they are just located at a different place. You have to open the "Network- and Sharingcenter". There in "Manage Wireless Connections" you have to create the Ad-hoc Network(explained in the first vid) and after that go to "Change Adapter Settings" and configure the IP´s as explained in the first vid. That should do it if you do everything right.

  • i have ipod touch 2g and i created a wifi connection with my wireless laptop cards and when i search for a network it shows up and connects but when i actually go to safari, itunes etc. it gives me connection errror. I have file sharing enabled.

  • @emotionalpunkboy Can you enter IPs with the Ipod touch? Then its probably that you forgot to set the "gateway" IP on the touch.

  • @maximumrisk2004 but how do i do that? when i connect and click on the little arrow it shows me only the ip address and subnet mask . Rest are blank. also when i go to static ip address and subnet mask doesnt show up/

  • @maximumrisk2004 i am having the same problem as emotional punk boy and the error is " invalid arguement" when it loads forever.

  • @maximumrisk2004 I can set the ip and stuff but gateway ip?

  • @PsionicAnnihilator Normally the configurations are.... IP, then Subnetmask, and the next space for IPs should be the gateway. Tha gateway tells your Ipod to specifically connect to your Computer.

  • @PsionicAnnihilator I have been trying to get some screenshots of the Ipods Network configurations, but cant find anything. I am sorry for not being able to help more, but I am pretty certain that it may be just called differently instead of Gateway.

That are basic configurations, it has to be in the Ipods configurations too.

  • wouldn Connectify.me be the better connection it would help u to

  • @daphillyfan35 Wow, now there is a software in the 7th Windows version. I stay with the manual configuration. You can actually learn something with this and you know what to look for when doing it on a older Windows.

  • Something wrong it wound connect.

    Please help me.

    or reply.

  • @callofdutywawcj1 Connecting is a 2 way street here. You have to press connect on the Computer that has the internet, Windows is then waiting for another computer to pick up this connection.

  • This thing works with PSP,just load your game and go to online mode. Then refresh your network list.then press connect.I did it for xlink kai and it work perfectly.

  • Help!

This doesnt work with PSP. I have Wireless USB adapter, I can make that connection, but my PSP can't find it. Does this need an wireless router or wireless modem?

  • @muluukkunen Same as for Dahbal. The Network simply has to show up, if it doesnt show, there has to be something you are missing.

  • @maximumrisk2004 I can see it on computer but nothing on PSP.

  • @muluukkunen Okay, thats weird. Do you mean that you see the network on your Computer where you made the Network? Then you probably just forgot to press "Connect"

  • hey.......can u help me connect my ipod touch to the setup? my ipod does not find any wifi........can u make a video on it?

  • @dahbal Sorry, I have no Ipod.I would suggest you check if the Network shows up on a normal computer. If that works, it should work just as well on the Ipod. As said I don´t have one but theoratically it should be compatible with this direct connection.

Maybe someone who reads this and has it working can check the problem.

  • @dahbal The Network has to show up. The Ipod cannot know at that stage if it likes the connection or not. It has to show, no matter if it connects or not.

  • Dang,well,thanks anyway,its a really helpfull vid,5 stars xD and subscribe,Keep it up bro.

  • OK one question i have a ds with (ofcourse) Pokemon,What i want to know is since i dont have a router how can i connect my ds so i can use my laptops wireless signal. One problem i get is that i make an ad hoc for the ds and wen im searching the for an acces point it finds it but wen im testing the connection it starts green but after oh 20 seconds maybe? the signal drops to nothing, its really anoying, think you could help me out?

  • @Blitzkrieg2260 I said in the first Tutorial that the DS isnt capable of such Ad-hoc connection. I know it sucks. I have been trying to get it to work, but the way to do it is vinvolves Linux and chaning the driversettings of the Wireless card

  • seems that it works but.. i lately updated my pc to windows 7 :( can u help me?

  • I would like too, but I havent used Win 7 so far. It cant be that different from the other Windows versions though. It surely got some securtiy messueres that I dont know of. You have to be sure that data is getting through...

Therefore when connected to the other computer put: ping 192.168.0.2 in the command prompt.

When it says that the packages got lost, then something is blocking the connection. Its your job to find out what since i cant see whats on your Computer.

  • So does this mean that I can play my psp games with adhoc to pc, if I have a usb cable directly plugged into my pc?

  • Sorry, but what do you want to do?

  • I want to play some of my psp games online using my router.

  • If you already have a wifi router that sends internet. Why do you need help connecting to it?

  • Well, people would tell me, that if I have a psp, and would like adhoc, they say it can only be done from a ps3. I don't know why. And would it make a difference if the router comes with a password with it? Would it block out, or interfer incoming connections?

  • The Password your router has is normal, thats something that I deactivated for the ad-hoc since those networks are never very strong.

The PSP can naturally handle normal routers and ad-hoc networks, all you need to do is search the router with your PSP network configuration and when it asks you for a code, there you have to enter your router password as you call it.
