  • wtf who came up with that myth? You'd have to have a shit load of people voluntary die for an experiment that weighs them as they die.

  • I came here only to post this comment. Heavy Rain movie? i think so. pretty similar if you ask me. especially the part where sean penn eyes down benecio at the hotel.

  • I haven't seen the movie does 21 grams refer to your soul?

  • Comment removed

  • I heard that you shit and piss yourself at the same time you die too. Maybe that's the 21 grams.

  • trailer is bad but the movie is amazing. totally worth watching!

  • my balls is 21 grams

  • Actually, chocolate bars weigh on average around 48 grams.

  • @dob90210 yeah but 48:4=12 and 12 is 21 switched (sorry for my bad english)

  • why does everyone lose 21 grams when we die?

  • @MsPaparatz A scientist in the early 1900"s did an experiment on people who were dying. He wanted to see if the soul was real. He found at the time of death people lose 21 grams. He then tried it on dogs and found no weight change. Its never been repeated so no one knows why they lost 21 grams. Some believe it proof that the soul exist.

  • @Tjallen01010 wow interesting!!!! i love my dog though :( i believe he has a soul :( that is weird though

  • @MsPaparatz you release your bowels when you die, so all the piss and shit in your system just flushes out.

  • @pv9023 yea but everyone doesn't have the EXACT same amount of shit and piss in them at time of death so that isn't a good measurement or reason for losing EXACTLY 21 grams no matter age size weight ....

  • @MsPaparatz well whats more reasonable or probable? A fact that your bowels release at the time of death causing an unusual amount of weight loss? Or an invisible ghost version of yourself flies into a city in the clouds where all the other invisible ghosts/spirits live an stays there for eternity living happily ever after?

  • @pv9023 Well personally none of us knows why.... that's the whole thing. the shit and piss idea can't be used because it can be disproved easily and isn't accurate. I don't find it hard to believe it could be our soul. Maybe it's not true but I mean the fact I'm existing on a planet floating in a universe I think that's pretty outrageous but it's happening so having a soul being unreal? meh not that unreal sounding to me. Don't let your mind be so narrow....reality to you is too clouded.

  • @MsPaparatz haha your grammar is so bad! Your too gullible. If your christian, then you beleive in a God who supposedly made Day and Night BEFORE he made the sun. So how the flippin fuck can there be a day and night without the sun? huh? Please Explain.

If you beleive in Reincarnation then why is the human population growing so quickly?

Look, im not a religious person, obviously. But religion is not the answer! Whats better, if 100ppl were dying in a fire, would it help them by you praying? no.

  • @MsPaparatz Look, science flies us to the moon. Religion flies us into buildings.

  • @pv9023 religion has nothing to do with there being a god lol I am not religious but I do believe in god. Also, science only proves there is a god, higher power, whatever word you'd like to call it. I actually love science it's my favourite subject. You don't need to be religious to know God.

  • @pv9023 you're here aren't you? living on this earth? proof enough there is God. Open ur eyes dude and look around not at ur ipod, flat screen tv or new materialistic household item OR mall you visit. Open ur eyes to the earth for what it REALLY is...where you are REALLY LIVING in. A fully sustainable existence on this planet that functions in a perfect circle in every way from every insect, plant and animal, etc. God is real. Religion has NOTHING to do with God being real. God is God

  • @MsPaparatz Science can't prove the existence of god, nor its' absence. Science explains how things work in here and how the nature developed in to such a complex state, but it doesn't explain why anything exists in the first place. People who believe in god think that it caused the existence, but there's no evidence about that, hence it's just a belief and can't be stated as a definite fact by any means.

  • @Identiteetti1 lol yes it does. God is the word for whatever started this all higher power whatever you liked to call it but it does exist. If you'd open ur eyes to the earth and universe that surrounds you ..you would see that. We wouldn't be capable of fully understanding or excepting the true reason for our existence. The brain always needs explanations or proofs or reasons. Or something logical. Your trapped in your bubbled reality. You don't know the true reality of life

  • @Identiteetti1 well "we" as in most people. For some reason people view the world weird like as in material things malls shops, work, everyday life stuff that's all normal to them or that's become "normal reality" it kind of masks the true reality of life. It's hard to explain. I say jsut continue living ur life however you want to. But I know god exists because I'm capable of thinking outside the box and opening my eyes to the real true reality the surrounds us like PLANET EARTH lol

  • @Identiteetti1 and the universe itself that we live in. How everything works so perfectly our complex bodies, animals creatures all know there place and jobs to do. These things could not possible appear out of no where. I do believe science has a lot to do with god. Who's to say god did not use science to create us. Religion has nothing to do with the existence of god religion is a choice people make to find god or believe in a higher existence. you don't need any religion to know there is god

  • @MsPaparatz You say you're capable of thinking outside the box and that I live in a buble but yet the only argument you're giving out is that complexity of the nature must've derived from god, because the complexity couldn't appear out of nowhere. If you really are into science you should be aware that your argument's value is zero from scientific standpoint. It's only your subjective view of how the nature works, your mind's way to interpret the nature.

  • @MsPaparatz Subjective "evidence" is never definite, because there are so many

factors that affect our thinking and mind, for instance, our upbringing, the environment in which we grew/grow and genes of course.

The reality is that we can't say for sure how this all began, but of course we have scientific theories which I rather study than rely on as vague thing as god.

  • @MsPaparatz God is God. WOW good point there! And i love the part where you said "Religion has nothing to do with God being real". Pfft, please dont give me that garbage ok? Agnostics are pussies who dont wanna turn their back on any religion because they're too scared of whatever the f*** you're scared of.

  • @MsPaparatz And im here. ok. so now i have to live life in an overpopulated, polluted, and dying planet. Fully sustainable? I dont think so. We kill each other over the beleif in diff. versions of a God we dont even know exists!

  • @pv9023 ...........all the problems in your sentence are results of humans. The earth is fully sustainable..... WE are the problem, we are the problem for all those things listed not god. God isn't to blame PEOPLE are. get over it and look in the mirror. Look at all the packaging n shit we by from the store.... everything you throw out doesn't magically disappear once to take the garbage our. Everything you dump down the drain in the sink, toilet, and bath rub including cleaning products

  • @pv9023 don't magically dissolve into thin air. WE are our own problems and WE are our own solutions. Everyone is just to lazy to do anything about it and rather sit and accept the way things are and go rather then try to do something about it. You sit there and say blah blah blah but you are part of the problem along with the REST of the people on this planet.

  • @pv9023 MAN MADE PROBLEMS.

  • @MsPaparatz YOU are retarded. Yes no shit man makes problems, who else would! But we use God as an excuse. Friggin politicians use "God" to win the votes of religious ppl. And we kill each other BECAUSE our religious beleifs dont match. So if there were no "-isms" there wouldnt be as much violence, probably. But how the fuck would i know. ALL i know is that religions causes problems. And religions say its ok to commit crime BUT ONLY if you confess to the sky afterwards.

  • @pv9023 um okay firstly without religion bad people would still exist LOL and not all religious people are using religion to do bad things so that is a sorry excuse to use. For two this still has nothing to do with there being a god this still just as to solely to with humans. I'm not religious and I know there is god because I know. I'm wise enough to look around at my surroundings the universe and planet earth included as well as everything else in existence

  • @pv9023 plus there has been many times in my life where i have looked within myself and kno there is god and have had something looking out for me because I accept that there is something looking out for me. To me it doesn't matter if you believe in god or not lol that's the way you choose to live your life. Just no god will not judge one what religion someone follows. God will judge on the person that you are and choose to be while alive on this earth, do you help others or hurt them?

  • @pv9023 do you help the earth or pollute it? do you choose to see reality or ignore it? things like that common sense things. Things we all know is right and wrong. People can justify the wrong they do with some kind of religion, excuse, or reason, but in the end it's still wrong. And regardless people can live selfishly in this life but once we die something does happen. and everyone will pay for the choices they make here. I know that. It's OBVIOUS I believe the earth was made for us

  • @pv9023 I mean dinosaurs fossils etc.... that is what our fuel is.... fossil fuel.... the gas you use to fill up your car that is all oil made by the earth ...fossil and dino bones and planets that were compressed by heat millions of years ago beneath .... and now we have it for a fuel source. I dont think that was an accident. It will run out eventually though we are such wasteful creatures

  • @pv9023 plants not planets...lots of typos sorry

  • @pv9023 I don't know I hope for you to one day see what I'm saying lol cuz as crazy as it sounds it's all true

  • @MsPaparatz Im not gonna argue with stubborn retards. Your saying that God mad man discover the very substance thats destroying the planet today? God created the very substance that Nations today fight over? Amazing.

And please, spare me the trouble of reading those massive paragraphs that have NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING.

  • @MsPaparatz This movie sucked dick anyways! Oh shit, some guy ran over this lady's family! How terrible. Oh wait, its ok! the guy beleives in God! Now its not that bad of a burden for him. Thank god he's feeling better about it :D No. The guy shoulda been locked up for at least 20 years fucking triple homicide.

  • Another piece of great cinema courtesy of Sean Penn. He was also hilarious in Fast Times at Ridgemont High with Nicolas Cage, both of whom would go on to win Oscars. Now Nicolas Cage has a new movie called Trespass coming out. I can't wait to see it!

  • This movie is heavily painful to watch. Sean pean shouldn't have died.

  • @kieran1990able wow good job on ruining things on the fucking trailer

  • @Doctorstrange37 LMAO!!! i commented after i watched d movie man, not after fuckin trailer

  • @kieran1990able BUT YOU COMMENTED ON THE TRAILER, and i didn't even have to scroll to see it! And by the looks of the trailer i'm gonna guess he died late on in the film yeah? being the main character and all...

  • @Doctorstrange37 May be u guessed after i said, but anyway u must watch the movie coz trailer shows jus random clips of movie

  • @kieran1990able does him dying not affect the plot tho?

  • @kieran1990able If it was painful, it means its close to life.

  • For those of you that think this movie is confusing or too hard to follow or even that group of you that just don't like it for some reason are retarded. This was a terrific movie and one that Hollywood should take lessons from, this is how you make a movie. It was real, it was tragic, it was perhaps the best example of perfect acting I have ever seen. You definitely have to pay attention to the plot of the film but I guess todays movie going crowd finds that a bit to hard... Idiots.

  • @SINATRA303 and what makes u so samrt????? i have seen this film and followed it with no problems , thought it was ok , but nowhere near what u r makeing it out 2 b !! u sound like a snotty , stuck up bitch who needs a good fucking !!!

  • @SINATRA303 Youre the embarassing, elitist, pretentious ass who think people who dont like this movie are idiots. You bring shame on all who love this film.Movies are about taste and you cant compare it. Celebrate and praise this film all you want but dont sit there and act like youre better cause you"get it". You give 21 Grams fans a bad name.Shame...."Perhaps the best example of perfect acting ever...." Do you work for Focus films?NOTHING is perfect. Youre so lost, you dont even know it.

  • if u ever sold weed you know one nickel weighs 5 grams. its how you test to see if a scale is right. A dollar bill weighs one gram. More like the weight of a stack of four nickels.

  • This movie is fucking awesome...for everyone hating on this movie and saying it was confusing, its cause they dont understand it. There was nothing confusing about this movie....it goes back and forth from past to present, and present to past...the thing is you have to pay attention. Anyway, Naomi Watts fuckin owned this shit...

  • this movie was a horrible waste of time...DO NOT WATCH

  • the weight of your poop when you shit yourself

  • this movie seems like shit.

  • Benicio fans...check out the videos Jack Jordan is in the deep(Tribute to del Toro in 21 Grams),titlesong from oscarwinner Crash and Heartbeats we lost in the fire...also tribute to guess what movie and the song is Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez, both vids made by moi....you...you will like it! Or not...

  • 21 grams...the weight of a soul?

  • Looks boring as fuck.

  • @MrakCRO you suck!

  • ;DD

  • If I got a dollar for each pixel in this vid I'd have like 4 bucks.

  • @kralyk311 Really? I'd have 480x360 bucks

  • @kralyk311 it's not that bad.

  • @kralyk311 Then don't watch it bitch. There are other trailers of this movie here on YT.

  • @kralyk311 bullshit :(

  • @AloneMucahid axle

  • @battie07 imho, better. One of my favourite movies.

  • You get a good view of Naomi Watt's tits in this movie.

  • wait when ill die i dont want to lose my 21 grams of weed!

  • @salepauvre87 then smoke it beforehand...

  • Seems like the british are the only ones who got it right....BAFTA nominated both Penn n Del Toro for Best leading actor. I know the Oscarjury have this retarded unwritten rule that two actors of the same gender can´t be nominated for best leading actor or actress. AND most critics....like Ledger n Gyllenhaal in Brokeback Anal. So props to BAFTA n the golden Globes who dont buy into that. Like Moore n Bening in The kids are alright or Gleeson and Farrelll in In Bruges. Both leading.Same category.

  • Assholes..nominating Benicio for best supporting actor. He had one of three lead roles!! It´s just like with Tim Robbins in Mystic River, who Benicio lost to....he had just a big part as Penn but since he´s not in the movie for the last 10 minutes....he´s supporting? Are the academy and critics making their decisions based on whos most famous?Would seem so with Penn concidered the lead actor in both movies...just like M. Douglas was conciderd the lead in Traffic which is equally retarded!

  • this movie was made so brilliant... the art of the direction was sooo good... i thought at the beginning it was boring but when i continued watching it i was really amazed.. DEL TORO AND PENN made it more realistic

  • Ten film w straszny sposób pozbawia człowieka który przeżył tragedię, złudzeń i Nadziei.

This film in a scary way of depriving a man who survived the tragedy, illusions and Hop

  • I never thought Inarritu would make a better film than this... 'till I watched Biutiful...

  • Is his as good as Babel and Biutiful?

  • @PaladinConstantin hah, out of all your shit rambling you mispelled "idiocracy" trying to sound like you know something

  • You can see my dad in this movie

  • @leodis4me -:o

  • @Killuminati911 True story. my dad used to live in memphis, and he was at a gas station or something and the somebody who worked on the movie was also there and some guy came up and stole her purse and my dad (hes a pretty big guy) chased him down and got it back so she gave him an eeexxtreeeemly small part in the movie. you can see him thru a window. I think its in a bar. ive only seen it once when i was younger,

  • @leodis4me Thats pretty awesome I always ask myself who are all the people in the backgound in movies., (didnt see the movie yet)

So they did ask your dad to do that?

  • Was kind of hard to follow, but in the end, it was all clear.... sad movie, but excellent.

  • so did i :)

  • jajajaj i thought 21 grams as in 21grams of weed :)

  • yo faggit u shud go suk some black dick u white piece of trash, i unno if ur gonna understand "dis." Faggit

  • i know who played the little girl cathy :)

  • Benicio Del Toro!!! the most gorgeous man ever! lol no but seriously he is good looking

  • @PaladinConstantin Not really convinced about the NWO or other conspiracy theories. Fun to think about from time to time, but nothing more. Tried reading Marx'x Communist Manifesto, damn...a thin book but dense as hell.

Heard of The Network, haven't seen it yet, but from what I heard from Bravo and Rotten Tomatoes, nothing but positive reviews. Strange how we started talking about death and ended up in different territory.

  • dis was a good movie still

  • @Fassoman what's wrong with the "dis"? trying to act like a black? maybe your parents should go for abortion so you wouldnt bring shame on white race.

  • @PaladinConstantin Never heard of Hollywood's war on God. And yes, the films you've mentioned are among my favorites. I'll try to find the documentary, probably sell it at Amoeba.

Christian communist, never would've thought of that as one phrase. Then again, I'm a spiritual atheist at the moment. And you're right about del Toro's film of Che, it was faithful to the sources of Che and portrayed him as...not evil or even good. So there was room for ambiguity.

  • @PaladinConstantin So you think that God is an abstract concept. A way to find comfort in death's uncertainty. Hollywood's problem in religion and occultism is that both are viewed as fads. Fads come and go, like Kabballah and Scientology.

Either a fad or a way to get the public's attention in order to increase show ratings. I may sound bitter, but when you think about it, it makes sense. Like how people wear Che memorabilia without prior knowledge about the man. Unrelated I know :)

  • @PaladinConstantin Couldn't find that book at my local library. Right now in my life, I'm an atheist, before I was a confused Christian with a lot of private questions. I tried to work them out by reading, watching films, and conceptualizing ideas.

This film was one of those films that I obsess over, because of the themes involved. Death...the fact I still obsess over. The death of a person and how we as people react to it, that fascinates me. Sounds morose, but that's me.

  • the only flaw in this film is a mexican director

  • @rapist41 RACIST!!

  • The best film and performances I have seen in ages. This is how drama is supposed to be. Hollywood, watch and learn.

  • 2 people are blind and deaf

  • Well if you search about this experiences you will find a lot of interesting things untold in the movie. The conclusion is simple: THERE IS NO GOD.

  • @ThornsOfDarkness Or simply God forgot about us. God would simply create us and leave it alone, this is a deist concept.

  • must watch!! tell everyone

  • dobree !

  • sad movie!

  • how stupid you have to be to say that ? Good God man.

  • they should name the movie1 heart 2 dicks :D

  • @TheGoldenTiger09 hahahahahahaha

  • @TheGoldenTiger09 why?????????

  • @TheGoldenTiger09 Maybe that is where the movie actually got it's name. Maybe it was "2 dicks, 1 heart"----> 21 grams

  • @TheGoldenTiger09

WTF!! xD haha I dont get it!

  • que depresiva esta pelicula

  • How many lives do we live? How many times do we die? They say we all lose 21 grams... the exact moment of our death. Everyone. And how much fits into 21 grams? How much is lost? When do we lose 21 grams? How much goes with them? How much is gained? How much is gained? Twenty-one grams. The weight of a stack of five nickels. The weight of a hummingbird. A chocolate bar. How much did 21 grams weigh?
  • How much does life weigh?

They say we all lose 21 grams at the exact moment of our death... everyone.

The weight of a stack of nickels. The weight of a chocolate bar. The weight of a hummingbird...

    How much does love weigh?

    How much does revenge weigh?

    This Fall, fate weighs in.

    How much does guilt weigh?

When do we lose 21 grams, how much goes with them?

  • Benicio del Toro is one of the greatest actors of our time.

  • Saw it when it first came out in theatres.. Amazing movie! One of those movies that you think about things weeks after watching it...

  • One of the best movies ever made!! Very introspective and very...this may sound cliche, very human. Also, in some sick, twisted way, very spiritual.

  • are amores perros and babel like part of the same story? do you have to like watch them in order?

  • @Beentakenaway123 No they're not. Its just that Alejandro shot the three films with the theme of death, thus putting amores perros, 21 grams, and Babel in the Death Trilogy. Its all on Wiki.

  • @Beentakenaway123 Not at all. Each movie has it´s own story. But you must see the three of´em. they´re great.

  • @Beentakenaway123 The Mexican Guillermo Arriaga is the writer of Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Babel, and he did make them as a trilogy.

  • @Beentakenaway123 The Mexican Guillermo Arriaga is the writer of Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Babel, and he did make them as a trilogy. Iñarritu is just the director so I think he wouldn't receive credits for the idea, it all came from the writer.

  • An excellent sightseeing movie........Really worth seen.....A movie of my life which tells us that how much love, revenge & hatred fits into 21 grams

  • k.

this movie is extremely terrible and excruciating to watch. They tried to copy Memnto but failed so miserably bad. Sucks tho, my gut instinct told me to stop watching after the 30th minute, but i gave in and it turned out i wasted 2 hours of my life.

    DAMNIT :(

  • Comment removed

  • They say,We all lose 21 grams at the exact moment of our death..........Fabulous Tag line.......

  • @HandsomeAquarius yeah that's only cause of the sweat lost, sweat and the last fart weighs in at exactly 21grams, and a bit of saliva. And perhaps some hair.. snot may drop too depending on the way you fall.

  • will surely c this movie as it is the same director who directed the fabulous babel

  • Es una de las mejores peliculas del nuevo cine Mexicano q hay despues de Babel(alejandro gonzales iñarritú) y El laberinto del fauno (guillermo del toro)

  • Amazing. One of the best movies i've ever seen, with Babel <3

  • najlepszy film

  • Does anyone know the song at the end of the movie?

  • One of my fav movies ever!!!

  • officially the most depressing movie ever!

  • el trailer demasiado intrigante no es

  • You shouldn't have done it !!

  • This is one of my favorite movies

    BUT this trailer isnt good.

The 21Gramms that a human loose are

not the main theme in this movie.

Its more than that its bout how people

    are connected to each other.

That is what this movie makes so good for

me. But i dont think that this trailer

shows this part of the film enough.

  • @HeloKitty111 : with this trailer I wouldnt watch it but so much good review I need to see this :)

  • great movie trailer...

  • greatest movie ever.

    it kills me, everytime

  • this is ART!

  • This is a good movie

    這是一部好電影

  • i thought this had something do to with ketamine?

  • i hate you cause you must watch them to know that. so fuck you fucker. where is your movie awards huh

  • i hate Sean Penn.... he always cries in all his roles! ALL HIS ROLES!!!... fucker.

  • @CT2507 watch carlito's way he's a bad motherfucker there

  • @baraka206 i dont care. why does he have to cry in all of his films!?

pathetic to make a career based on crying!

  • @CT2507 he DOESNT in Carlito's Way...........

  • @baraka206 i bet he does though.

  • @CT2507 he made a fuckin career though!

  • @strechmetz so no matter the cost, just make a career, right?

sounds like a moronic attitude towards life to me.

  • one of the best movies I've ever seen

  • music is not Can Things Get Better...it's another version from the one on the OST...anyone knows? ;-)

  • Alejandro González Iñárritu, that's all

  • the movie is about the blind ugly beast called pain-suffering-death, which is walking upon this earth ripping human hearts and souls apart at his own irrational, illogical, senseless discretion. An amazing job done by the author and the actors

  • this is one amazing movie...really everebody should watch it

  • just got this movie today never seen it cant wait to watch it :)

  • hey i saw the movie today

    naomi wattts was totally awesome!!!!

  • she always look like shes got cotton wool in the side of each cheek

  • probably wisdom teeth, it can have that effect which is one of the reasons people choose to remove them :)
