Does anyone else have problems with build up at either end of the stationary comb knives or no knives grass jams in there it takes ahammer and chisel toget it out,but after afew bales it is back, keep in mind here western canada we bale and wrap mainly haylage, and may have differant types of grass.I use a deutz 630 on mine,no substitute for HP.
@Egglingen it will bale hills but the only prob is you cant transfer down hill cause it wont come out and facing up hill it can shoot straight out the back and cause theres no sensers to tell the baler where the bale is you have to watch it ALOT it assumes that the bale is there
it maby compact but the axle is to far back doesnt follow well it doesnt transfer facing down hill and not enough rap storage. give me a goweil any day. and before you say what do i know we have a fusion 2 and a goweil combi
@TheCropmaster how can u complaine bout da fusion 2 n say da goweil is better.u can ave 10 rools of plastic no other machine gives u dat amount.its also cheaper den buyin a baler and a wrapper.it saves fuel.u need a higher hp tractor wit the goweil.u can find parts easily 4 mchale n has a high resale value.mchale is worldwide and has high performance.da goweil weighs nearly 6t.its 21ft long n 10ft wide.i no contractors who ran both machines but had 2 sell the goweil cos it was 2 costly 2 operate
@jimmy75256 you cant weld anything to it to had storage. And i had a hill i drove regularly and the tractor pulled the same with either on and the goweil weighed in at a hefyt 8t, fusion 6t. we only took the goweil to step step ground. we had 710s on fusion for the peat, from memory there wasnt much in it cause the goweil had 650s on it. no rap dramas with goweil 75% stretch, fusion 70% stretch but grass intervens with rap from bale transfer. good bearings thow in fusion. we had Mc560 in goweil
Yes by simply selecting a button on the control box the wrapping ring is eliminated and you can use the wrapping table to put two bales side by side for easier handling.
I have a deutz agrotron 150 lots of HP ,looking forward to using my fusion 2 in about 5 weeks,I was hoping to run it in 540 economy if possible mainly dead flat land.
I just bought one it had better work good as here in canada they are very expensive,I do not have loadsensing hydraulics is this going to hinder me atall.
The machine works very well. Overall in my opinion the machine performs better on load sensing hydraulics, however I have seen lots of machines working on open centre without a problem. The main advantage of load sensing is you are not pumping oil constantly, this results in the fact that the oil does not get as hot . Load sensing can also be an advantage if you have a tractor with lower horse power as you are not pumping oil all the time and have more power to pack the bale or climb the hill.
They do produce a great solid bale..... And the Fusion also travels well on soft ground - even with a bale in the chamber & one being wrapped, it hardly made a mark!

what kind of horsepower do you need to run one of these?
teambrucewillis 1 year ago
Bruce,
It really depends a number of factors
- the output you want.
- the ground conditions you are in.
- the number of knifes you want to use.
- the hydraulic system on the tractor (load sensing is best as it only pumps oil when needed)
I have seen Fusions on tractors 120+ (with load sensing hydraulics).

@teambrucewillis we run our JD 7230 on this baler with no prob at all

Not sure, just something the video production company picked.

To run this baler for hilly work would you need more then 150hp
MrStayright 2 years ago
push a button to change hay mode this disables the wrapper.

hi there can you use the fusion 2 for just bailing without wrapping or do you have to wrap
thanks

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Why do you need to wrap the hay bale with plastic? Where does all the grease and oil go? What's the carbon footprint of this thing?
pookietooth01 3 years ago
please fuck off with your carbon footprint bullshit you obviously don't know what your talkin about!

@pkerr061
The Green Party (or yellow-belly party after their turn-coat antics in Ballinaboy) really do have this country fucked.
The people who use these machines produce the livestock to feed these cocksuckers.
Obviously have absolutly no idea what their on about.
