  • Most Detail Submarine In The World Today: Captain Nemo's Nautilus, Second to That Is The SSRN. Submarine Seaview...

  • amazing

  • unbelievable.

  • I pretty much second everything said so far... and heh wow why do I like this music? x)

  • I am going to build a real life sized fully functioning Nautilus one day. And i will use it to explore the seas and defend the seas. All this WILL oneday come to pass.

  • @firedathan YEAH!!! ME TOO BUT MINE WILL BEAT YOURS!!!!

  • Fantastic, and beautiful. I fell in love with this design and the film.. a formative influence.

I admire your attention to internal detailing visible!

I would love to know if you have a detailed account anywhere online of your sources, design decisions and technical approach?

In any case, Congratulations! It always warms my heart that there are people in this world who can share such a vision of what can be, and bring it to realization in their own way.

    So, thank-you!

  • Absolutely fantastic. Great job!

  • Fantastic model... you should exhibit it at the annual NAMES Expo (North American Model Engineering Society). Scratch modelers come from all over North America to exhibit their work. The 2010 Expo is in Southgate, Michigan - the third weekend in April.

  • very impressive!. how long is it?

I am inspired to build one!

  • What a pice of art!!! Bloody beautiful!

    Well done!

  • beautiful

  • Fascinating!!!! You should expose it somewhere. How much detail! How long did it take you to do it?

  • I WANT IT!!!

  • Want.

  • Best live action film Disney ever made bar none.

  • Excellent build, real cool

  • holy **** how long did it take to build? is it from scratch ?? Great nice!! is the row boat reality that far from the dorsal like fin? I though it was just behind it!? they should rebuild the ride in mk!!!

  • I love the little Ned Land figure on the sub, nice touch, lol.

  • Thanks posting this

I love the design of this veasel and I am proud of being born the year this movie was made. I love the music, all mastered well.

It makes me cry at the talent of this man Nemo wasted by all around greed and foolishness. I wondered that this character is so close to myself who wants the world in a whole new view. Knowledge and truth conquering stupidity and irrationality. Love for humanity must surpass the limitations by a high perception of the self void of vanity and egoism.

  • too cool

  • Super job...excellent detail...love the lights

  • Where can I get a copy of the model of the Nautilus?

  • awsome! simply awsome, well done.

  • Yup- I'd keep mine right in my kitchen, too.

  • That is an awesome model! 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is always been one of my favorite movies. Master Replicas has a similar model coming out March 2009.

  • Good god, did you built this for your personal collection or are you selling it?

  • This started out as a build for my personal collection, however a collector out of New York bought it mid-assembly. I added the working prop for him and further detailed the salon. I have more kits coming to me for the Christmas season, and I can custom-build more models like this one for anyone interested in obtaining one. Thanks for your comments! Bob.

  • You are a master of craftmenship. Thank you for posting.

  • Believe it or not - i cry seeing this vid!

Reminds me of the first time I watched the movie and was fascinated by Nautilus!

    The music is perfect!!!

    Thanks a lot!

  • you are the guy that makes me feel like a balsa butcher..Quite impressive what materials is it made of and is is a future RC action model or just an impressive scale model?

  • The music is Tocatta Fugue in D Minor, Nemo's famous performance just prior to ramming the ship off the coast of Rura Pente. The build took about 9 months of working in the evenings. I'd guess that there's about 200 hours or so in there. Thanks for the interest!

    Bob

  • @RCSubGuy I LOVE how detailed it it. You put a lot of effort into it. This movie is most likely got me into filmmaking. Beautiful work of art!

  • @RCSubGuy Where is ...rura Pente? Just curious!

  • @RCSubGuy nemo = omen...

Think of it. On the surface there is hunger and fear. Men still exercise unjust laws. They fight, tear one another to pieces. A mere few feet beneath the waves their reign ceases, their evil drowns. Here on the ocean floor is the only independence. Here I am free! Imagine what would happen if they controlled machines such as this submarine boat. Far better that they think there's a monster and hunt me with harpoons.

  • amazing, how much time did it take to you to build it? great!! what's the name of this opera?

  • Fabuloso ! Increible. Felicitaciones ! Un sueno hecho realidad.

  • Very nice - checked out the web site photos - love the detail! Bravo!

  • Amazing and Beautifully done! The lighting is perfect. How large is the sub?How much of the interior is present?

  • Very impressive.

  • BRILLIANT!
