  • How can I learn how to paint more realistic?

It's hard find tutorials on this style of painting. I thought your stuff was great. I would love to watch you do a whole painting. Do you have any tutorails?

  • I have been painting almost exclusively ocean scenes for a couple of years and are still in awe at how life like your ocean is. I sure wish you'd post a little background on how many ocean scenes you have done and what it takes to paint like that. Though apparently you do not like responding to any of the nice comments people have made about you or had questions of. You Tube is called "social media" because it's about being social... but great art Tom, none-the-less.

  • @romansangel Thanks for the comments about my video. I didn't mean to be rude by not responding to anyone. The clip was posted by Ed Grant and until just now I thought only he could respond to comments. I will be more responsive now.

  • @talltomm Thanks Tomm, your comments were well taken. We just all admire your work, it;s so nice to now have a person behind it. If I could afford you I'd hire you to do a seascape in a heartbeat. You and Byron Pickering are definitely the best in the world ~ my opinion! Didn't mean to be so blunt earlier about your not commenting, but it's all good now. Keep up the great work, the world needs more of your art--

  • Tomm. Should you ever do any kind of live art workshop, like "How to paint seascapes, like Byron Pickering does occasionally I want to sign up. He does a live 4 or 5 day workshop where guests stay at a local hotel and then everyday he paints and covers one aspect of the seascape. I believe everyone paints their own at the same time. as well. Something to think about. Great way for extra cash. I personally know of a few people that would be interested. romanterry@aol.com

  • Good

  • What colors are you using in the foreground besides the white?

  • @nwmanhatton I usually mix some cad yellow to the white to warm it up for the sparkles. For the foam I use white mixed with ultramarine blue, raw umber and violet. Sometimes cad orange.

  • Your paintings are totally amazing and outstanding.

  • That was just totally unbelievable!

  • VERY NICE!

i like to paint and i love to surf but im yet to master the two together like you have!

    well done.

oh, do you hand paint your stained glass as well? ive done a little for a friend at his leadlighting shop. theres not so much of it where i live but he is the master for sure.

a hand painted window would look good as an ocean scene done by you.
