@GhostOfAStranger1 They are speaking about it as a continent which is fine, people often speak of other continents in similar ways. It also makes sense in this context since you could not ask is any country in Africa a (serious) global power since the answer is quite obviously no.
@AWATEABRAHA I agree with you 100%. BBC and its hedious agenda on Africa is all over its reportages and programs. Africans should realize that BBC and the likes are working for Africans not to have a "meaningful life"....
No nuclear aresenal means No super power, also african leaders can't get out of their own way, they only rely on natural resources not indusrties, compaines around the world are working on developing man made natural resources, africa countires only rely on natural resources, africa's a one trick pony, what happens when the resources run OUT.
Africa will never be a superpower its swamped down by the shackles of Islam and its not just a coincidence that people have been in Africa longer than anywhere else, its a race thing Majority black country's cannot Be successful, the richest country in Africa is South Africa a country in witch over 5 million Whites live,
@durnham No, it's to do with natural geography. Central Africa is swamped with disease and it's extremely hard to get farming going. The majority of South Africa are actually black and it also is one of the most fertile parts of the continent. There is a clear link between fertile climate and the success of nations.
@cjoe94 Zimbabwe aka Rhodesia, whats yur View on the former Bread basket of Africa, and yes i am not nieve to the fact that it has a lot to do with Geography mate, but my theory is white people have a mre adventures nd Creative view in life hence the white plague were we colonized entire continents nd even strove to explore the moon, unlike Africans who only migrate 2 lands tht have already been settled nd are successful like Europe, not trying to argue wit you i wuld like to hear yur views also
I completely agree with your views, apart from the white/black population theory. shackled by Islam, true... look at Nile, and Sudan and Egypt, then the religious wars in Nigeria. there always will be civil strife. True again, people have been in Africa longer than anywhere. Theoritically, life started in Africa, then migrated everywhere else.
But cjoe94 is also right. It does have to do with geography. The climate is friendly generally, trees are evergreen, meaning we had food all the year round. Lakes and rivers dont freeze during winter...
Why are other parts of the world developed? Necessity. the mother of invention.
In temperate climates, trees "die" in winter, so no source of food. Winter floods in, and freezes everything to ice. Water bodies freeze over. Basic needs of life? food, shelter, water. Man had to adapt in those regions, and hence developed science to stay alive. They built universities to further research. Science breeds more science...
Before we were "discovered" our culture was a farming culture, because that was all the need we had. And still have. Before we were discovered, which country in Africa had a university???
Westerners not only brought their own version of relition to our shores, they also brought technology. They OWN technology. To date, they still provide, while we use...
Why are these guys making it sound like Africa is a country?
