  • thanks i just started but i have a firstact is that good or not

  • that helps. ;)

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • what is The name Of Your Guitar?

  • Sounds nice - lemme guess - Again by Lenny Kravitz.

  • The name of the third chord is what we call an "ambi" chord (ambiguous). It can be called by a couple of different names.

    Gmaj7(13)(omit 3rd)

    Emin9(omit 5th) over D bass

    Some people hear a Dmaj(add9)(11)

All of these chord names come from the G diatonic "major" scale so it really depends on how you use the chord in a song as to what name is best.

  • Thanks so much!!!!

  • you are a Amazing teacher...the BEST Ive found on u tube yet....Please keep these begiiners coming???/ Please please please !!! awesome!

  • i wish my parents could afford me acoustic lessons :(

  • I think that when you slide up your fingers from the C chord two frets up, I think it becomes a form of a D since most of the time you start a chord from the root note. two frets up would be D. maybe it's D6 not G6. Just a thought

  • whats is the strum patttern at the part wheres hes talking about the G6 i think its just after hes says its a cool song

plz message me if you know ^^

  • whats is the strum patttern at the part wheres hes talking about the G6 i think its just after hes says its a cool song

  • Cool stuff man!

  • how do u play guitar and sing at the same time ??? i can't do that...

Every time i start singin, i'm losing the rhythm... and it becomes crap.

  • It was very difficult for me in the beginning

    too

Pick 1 super simple strum and then I would only sing the single word on the chord change

Take baby steps dont try and sing the whole song

    Hope that makes sense

    Tim

  • you have to get really comfortable with the guitar playing and focus on the singing. the guitar will be like natural if you play for long enough

  • Thank you man!

    We really apreciate your video!

  • MAKE MORE!!!!!!!!!!

  • make more videos for beginners please

  • Thanks Tim......

  • yaaaaaaaaa!!!

  • The chord is Dadd2add4, or some people might call it Dsus4add9.

  • what's with the chorus effect?

  • Arpeggiation ... sounds like Strategery. Can you and Dave teach us some sweet harmonication? Hah! Nice lesson. Keep 'em coming.

  • D, its D dawg, but it sounds all suspended or something. great for jimi hendrix music

  • first comment!

    great vid! :D

  • NiCe KEEp It ON!!!

  • Cool Lesson

  • the third chord is definitely some sort of D chord. D is your root. The only difference is that you're playing a G note instead of an A on the G string. If that makes it a minor, dim, sus, or what I don't know. Since G is the 4th, I almost want to call it a D4 chord, except that you're also playing the F#.

    It's definitely a D though.

  • Cool Lesson

  • You should try this with alternate picking. You'll be able to play it quickly and more accurately.

    Good lesson.

  • nice it helped. Thanks.

  • Nice lesson Tim!

  • you are a nice guy with a really great teacher talent for making us beginners feel there is hope that we too can get past our misgivings that we can do this. we want to, but our hesitation....well, you are pushing us past that and i personally thank you.

  • It's great you're doing lessons for the beginners, this is exactly what I would have wanted when I was starting out.

  • arpeggiation patterns are fun. perhaps putting this in the title would be a good idea.

  • nice

  • i can't believe there's no comments! cool lesson!

  • .

    rock on good people !!!

    .

  • It could be a Em9(no 5th)?

  • youre so fantastic timmy

  • I enjoyed the lesson

"the answer is what has 9 arms and sucks" ;)

  • C chord slided up 2 frets is a D chord. Makes sense when you think about it right? =)

  • Thanx for all the good stuff. ROCK ON!!!
