wow, I just started playing an Ibanez 12string acoustic yesterday and I saw alot of differences in my practice session today. I'm already seeing improvement. sweet, good videos,
I think that when you slide up your fingers from the C chord two frets up, I think it becomes a form of a D since most of the time you start a chord from the root note. two frets up would be D. maybe it's D6 not G6. Just a thought
Teach to learn is always a good way to expand your confidence. I found your site on youtube when I first decided to pick up a guitar, probably close to the time you started, look how far we have come. Thanks to all the good people at next level. Love it!!
I find myself picking like this all the time, its fun sounds good, and you can really come up with great sounding little tunes. Take care bro Tim,,Rock On U r Good people!
good job tim, i started on your nextlevelguitar site about a year and a half ago , i think were at about the same level . its nice to see videos for beginners. sometimes peoples over complicate things like these arpeggios
try this....from 1st string to the 6th string...or from the high note to the lower note.....or just down to up ..."Every Boy Goes Dancing After Easter".....so its ebgdaE....hope tht helps....thts how i started to remeber the notes last time....
the third chord is definitely some sort of D chord. D is your root. The only difference is that you're playing a G note instead of an A on the G string. If that makes it a minor, dim, sus, or what I don't know. Since G is the 4th, I almost want to call it a D4 chord, except that you're also playing the F#.
you are a nice guy with a really great teacher talent for making us beginners feel there is hope that we too can get past our misgivings that we can do this. we want to, but our hesitation....well, you are pushing us past that and i personally thank you.

what is The name Of Your Guitar?
lovesmaryantonette 2 years ago 4
Sounds nice - lemme guess - Again by Lenny Kravitz.
ChuckMoore911 2 years ago 2
The name of the third chord is what we call an "ambi" chord (ambiguous). It can be called by a couple of different names.
Gmaj7(13)(omit 3rd)
Emin9(omit 5th) over D bass
Some people hear a Dmaj(add9)(11)
All of these chord names come from the G diatonic "major" scale so it really depends on how you use the chord in a song as to what name is best.

how do u play guitar and sing at the same time ??? i can't do that...
Every time i start singin, i'm losing the rhythm... and it becomes crap.
tranche2pain 3 years ago
It was very difficult for me in the beginning
too
Pick 1 super simple strum and then I would only sing the single word on the chord change
Take baby steps dont try and sing the whole song
Hope that makes sense
Tim
rockongoodpeople 3 years ago
you have to get really comfortable with the guitar playing and focus on the singing. the guitar will be like natural if you play for long enough
