R factor is definitely one of the more realistic driving games, unlike the gran turismo games which are a bit cartoonish. The dynamics of this old WMP are quite similar to what I'd imagine in it to be like in real life. The turbo V6 sound is very good and you can see the evident lack of down force from the way it appears to handle. You can even here the manual gear shifts and the apparent turbo lag in the lower revs. Very nice.
@pierrot148 have you been at Le Mans in the early 80s, that's the closest Representation of it during that time, it doesn't look much like todays because it barely had the safety standard it has today + there is a real Mulsanne Straight, not the Musanne Chicanes, for instance.
@1yakko1 its a not yet released mod by VirtuaLM for rFactor, which they are working on for years already.
I would not recommend you to buy rFactor since it is very old and rFactor 2 with better graphics is on its way (2011). rFactor is a Racing-Simulation for PC and a great modding platform and there exist thousands of mods for it and alot of them are very high quality.
