  • I find your playing and your jazz knowlegde quite advanced! Congratulations! Buy the way, I have the the same guitar, I just love it. Regards!

  • Very good job Carlos.

    Very nice round sound.

Like you, I am a big fan of Godin and his fabulous guitars.

    Amistades

  • Out of interest, are you using the Piezo pickup at all? Or just the magnetic ones?

  • Just magnetic

  • thanks for replying.you play great.I want to buy that guitar and I saw yours and its a beautiful axe.thought that the AAA top have a much better finish but now I think that its not a big difference .thanks again : )

  • can you tel me is that a AA or AAA maple top?

  • the label says " cognac burst flame AA"

  • And by midi interface and soundcard you mean?? i'm not to sure what midi stands for and if i get that roland gr 33(if i'm not mistaken that's what it's called) do i need a guitar such as the godin with the midi built in or can i just use any??

thank you sooo much and again i really enjoy your playing and flavor chords and style!!!

  • You can do it with any guitar , but you must put a Roland GK pickup or something similar. And then plug it to the sound module by a 13 pin cable.

There's a lot of info in the net , try googling for "midi guitar" and you'll get the answer to all your questions.

    Cheers

  • Hey there carlos amazing playing truley!!! i have a very important question and hope you could answer it for me. So i'm new to this whole synth thing and don't know whats all necessary to get that synth sound. i want to buy that guitar same guitar you have but am curios about it. to get the synth sound do can i just plug it into my amp or do i have to get all this extra stuff, and will the synth sound only work pluged into a computer or can it also work pluged into a amp.

    told you i'm new!!!

  • You need also a sound module like Roland GR-33 or similar to plug the guitar in and get the sounds from it. It also serves as a midi interface to plug it to the midi input of your soundcard if you want to use it as a midi controller . Thanks for your words and good luck :-)

  • Hi Carlos, if allowed, I would like to ask you, how you achieve this Metheny-like sound in this video. Is it the guitar itself or a guitar-synth like the GR-20/33? Or do you use any special effect pedals or amps?

Great work on the guitar anyway...

    Thanks for answering. Arndt

  • Hi Zelamir. The sound comes from the guitar itself connected to a Roland Cube 30 and pluged to a DMX6 Fire soundcard at my computer. No guitar synth or effect pedals is used in this recording, just a bit of reverb and compression is aplied in the mix. Thanks for your words.

    Saludos.

  • tienes bien tecnica. bravo!

  • como suena eso!!
