overall noob battle. infernape vs. cloyster. infernape sd - cloyster spikes. 1st fail. infernape cc - cloyster, sash, spikes again. wtf?! its so obvious to explode right here. thats the only way to get out of this situation without losing the game. and why do you switch out infernape with 1hp left and 2 layers of spike on your side? too many things for my little brain to understand.
Then what exactly? With enough bulk you survive most faster Pokemon hits and then hit them back harder. Most faster Pokes can't OHKO you with the proper bulk.

lolwut? I find Infernape setting up the easiest thing I've ever done in my life. I just use Close Combat vs Blissey to lure out the Gar or whatever and then figure out what they'll predict next time.
The first sentence is half right. BL isn't supposed to be a metagame. Just like NU was never supposed to be a metagame. It means you never can have a fair BL battle for tournaments (which is the same thing as a BL/UU battle) or a fair NU battle for tournies.
There are more UU/BL battles than BL/OU, but there isn't a written metagame for uu/bl battles, you just got to know what's common and stuff...idc, if the person is good with UU/BL pokes, I can fully understand.
