  • They can stay in water for a very long time and puling on it wont make things beter

  • ironically enough, water monitors can stay along time underwater... theres no point in holding him in a bath, just put a bit of mouth wash next to his nose, the smell is so strong it will let go straight away, works everytime for me

  • don't you really know how to get him off*??? just by letting him be

  • I heard Water Monitors are literally impossible to COMPLETELY tame.

  • w8. he will release you.... in an hour :D

  • lol

  • lol!! hes so cute! xD mine has never bitten me. yet. lol

    ^-^

  • use vinegar it gets them off straight away

  • ouch. poor sezi.

  • put a dot of salt and he will let go

  • If you REALLY want to get him of, you should try listerine, but i don't know if i harms the animal.

  • HA that was your fault

if you just let go he will release

  • Dude just let go of it right when it bites you! and it will let go after like 5 seconds

Well at least that what i did when my water monitor bit me haha

  • Dude just let go of it right when it bites you! and it will let go after like 5 seconds

  • a that shit hurts...i got bit by mine and that little fucker kept adding pressure every time i moved a muscle...

  • tickle him and he will run

  • little vinegar on the nose makes em let go right away and does not harm them ive had to sue this with my nile cause he just WONT let go.

  • @Binochy77 I always go for the mouth as there is less chance that the liquid will find its way into the lungs of the animal. Which can cause death.

  • do what parents do to kids hold there nose till they let go

  • Can he eat all that? LOL

  • dont hold on to him idiot then he feels dangered just let him hand on in the water freely most likely let go really soon

  • dont call him an idiot hes holding him for him to try to feel comfort and hes petting him to

  • Reptiles aren't like mammals. Petting doesn't comfort them.

  • yes it does when i pet my tegu he falls right asleep

  • Tegus (mainly Argentines) are more docile. This little monitor is still in spazz mode, so petting it will only make him feel like he's more endangered. The best thing would be to let him go while letting him float in the water.

  • @S0XF0X A drop of vinegar in the corner of his mouth will get almost any animal to let go and is completly safe.

  • Or that :D

  • @S0XF0X ive heard Tegus are very aggressive

  • @icup728 When they're babies, they can be, but they easily come out of it with proper handling. I've never met an aggressive Tegu. Rather, I've always met ones who enjoyed a good cuddle.

  • @S0XF0X oh lol . DAMN ANIMAL CHANNEL. it was about tegus that were abandoned on florida and they were hella aggressive. Thanks

  • fgfg

  • get a damn knife and shank it sheesh!

  • that sucks man, i know it doesnt feel good to get bit, but it happends. better luck next time maybe lol

  • Hahahaha..MAN THAT WILL NOT! WORK!!...HAHAHAHAHA..STUPIND YANK!!!.....in southern africa,i had a mate, have a sub adult wild nile monitor latch on to his forarm..the more he pulled the more it tore the skin ahaha..so he tried putting his arm inot the pool,so maybe it would elt go n swim..no luck....vinger or alkohal will work....

  • dont fucking drown it sheesh

  • The thing is it won't. My water monitor sleeps in his water.

  • putting the baby by all that running water will make it bite worse, best way is to put him in the viv attached to your hand he will loose when he feels safe.

  • I not think want monitor bite finger and can kill small dogs

  • and he needs to stop getting his monitor to bite him because when he gets bigger full grown and bites that fucking hand is going with it...

  • Interesting post, I will remember that (drop vinegar in the mouth) for my little J....question? can you stress your monitor out with too much over handling and it catch a heart attack:(

  • no your sposed to handle it as much as possible for when there older so there less aggressive

  • drip vinegar into it's mouth if u can

  • if he lives there full time he will get water blisters and dont drown the poor thing cause he bit you

  • I take it he doesn't live in there full time as i coudlnt see any land in there. Asume thats a fish tank?

  • Get a spray bottle and put some vinegar in it or half vinegar and water and spray it if it bites you. You will need it when its bigger... It wont hurt him and it will make him let go.
