Its true that Africans owned other African slaves and they sold those slaves to European slave merchants but the form of slavery in Africa was ALOT different than the slavery witnessed in America. After African tribes realized how bad slavery was in America alot of these tribes stopped selling other Africans to Europeans. It wasn't the first time Africans had sold other Africans/slaves, but they didn't know that the Europeans had sadistic plans.

My ancestors were denied any kind of employment after migrating to the US. They were brutally beaten-up, discriminated against, went hungry, lived in deplorable, unsanitary inadequate housing until they could improve their standing in America. And no, they were not black or brown or tan - they were white; they were not "slaves" but "servants" when they finally gained employment. Why aren't black people aware of this?

Its true that Africans owned other African slaves and they sold those slaves to European slave merchants but the form of slavery in Africa was ALOT different than the slavery witnessed in America. After African tribes realized how bad slavery was in America alot of these tribes stopped selling other Africans to Europeans. Yes we give foreign aid to African countries but we also rebuild Europe after ww2. And we only give aid because of the issues that we created over there in those other countries.

You know what, you're right, I apologize for my blunt racism towards your people, I have met many awesome Africans and African Americans (I'm even learning Swahili ;) I just get frustrated w/African Americans because to me, they're too much talk and yap yap yap, if it were up to me, I would do a social cleansing of all gang members, but blacks aren't my people, I'm a Hispanic (Mexican American) we have our own problems and I want to help my ppl be a success in this country like Asians have. :)

Be mindful that the civil rights movement didn't happen until the 1960s. my mom was 18 before blacks were "legally" equal.

That said, we cannot undo time. We cannot know what would have happened. Our current generation is not responsible for the past. Also Looking into American history blacks have contributed more to the USA than any other nationality.
