If you look closely, you can see that the Silver Sword guy throws his swords handle-first when facing left/west.

To Silver Sword's and Ooze's credit, the music is pretty catchy.

It's amazing how many of the games give the player multiple hit points, but no bar or anything to indicate how many remain.
