  • Orange Peel!

  • "Hi I'm Doug and i work with 20 Great Gay Guys"

  • Fuck expert village...

  • What a douch nozzle...

  • WOW!!!! REALLY?!?!?! YOU ARE SHOWING A VIDEO ON HOW TO SPRAY SINGLE STAGE PAINT ON DOOR JAMS SO PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS CAN TRY AT HOME MOST LIKELY AND YOU TELL THEM TO: 1) SPRAY A DOOR JAM 2)LEAVE WET PAIN AND 3) CLOSE THE DOOR RIGHT AFTER YOU SPRAY THE MATERIAL...... HAHAHAHA!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE DO IT YOURSELF FOLKS AT HOME TRYING TO PULL THIS OFF. NO WONDER SO MANY PEOPLE HATE YOUR VIDEOS!! JACKASS (NAME GIVEN BY - GORRRILLA)

  • you are supposed to take the doors appart on custom paint

  • hi i'm doug and i work with 20 gay guys......

  • Get yourself a pearlscent ride

  • Hi, Im a jackass that has stupid writing all over my video so nobody can see shit! We're not deaf. Take out the closed captioning so we can see what the hell youre talkin about!!! Have a nice day

  • @GORRRILLA LMAO!!

  • ST LOUIS!!! i luv my city right on yall!!

  • Also a good idea is using reducer. If the paint has the right amount of consistency, orange peel can be minimized or avoided completely. Actually I would prefer a lighter coat because even tho not as shiny, the surface is so much smoother.

  • what happend to the rest of the video ?

  • hi, i'm dog

  • nice...painting a rag 63 impala

  • MORE AT MTUSITE.COM

  • Does it really matter what size/ gender you are. I want to be a spray painter but im quite small,, would they rather to hire a boy?

  • @jbake134

i work along side 16 painters with a company called manheim in australia and i am the tallest, it does not matter how tall you are asslong as you can paint and provide a nice clean finish, get your blends rite, color match good and problem solve, but gender could be a issue, imagen a girl working inbetween 20 or so rough blokes who loves women? im sure there will be some harrasment.

  • is it easy to use a single stage paint? is it basecoat, clear?

  • this is cool,doug.

  • You are an idiot! You make Ear Shieb look smart!

  • You are an idiot! You make Ear Shieb look smart!

  • prep is the expensive part. you aint joking if my memory serves me right a roll of 3/4 in tapes is like what $8

  • saw 1/2" green painters tape for 3.95 (3m) the other day.

  • What a bondo bucket

  • i bet doug and his painter make out after every video...lol

  • U bunch Of Idots Use R-M Diomont 2 Stage Its the best Urathene

  • single stage can look pretty good.. Base Clear looks much nicer.

  • I want to paint my car with my mighty brush

  • I'm not a fan of spaying single. I'm not a big fan of water born either. I like BC CC (solvent). I've heard from the teachers that tought me lacquer is the best to work with. I guess it's what you're most confortable with. I do have to say, my best paint job was a 2 stage, but the best paint job I've seen yet was a single (by an old guy).

  • single stage sucks thats y everyone uses BC/CC u dumb fucks

  • I guess the guys over at Volvo and Mercedes Benz are dumb fucks..

  • its not go as fast as u can , its go preferably fast but at a pace were you dont think it will run , or at a good cover space

  • these videos are really helpfull

  • Looks like you went over a couple rub throughs aye. I would've put a wet on wet primer down.

  • Why not take the doors away. ....

it's good to release the trigger, when stoping on a edge, saves paint, and surely there's no drop afterwards

  • fuck you expert village.

  • Does this job make decent amount of money to live off of. Because i plan on studying this and having it as a job. can anyone tell me?

  • it deoends on how good and how fast you are because you really get the proper money in bonuses, say if you get 7 hours to work on something and do it in 4 you get the 7 hours pay then you can go on to do something else :)

  • @jamii192 Oh k thanks jamii for the info just wanted to know before i go to school to study this thank you have a good one :D.

  • Got some dirt in that quarter panel at the end.

  • man this guy is just every where. Why doesnt he do it on car that we can relate to? I dont drive a freakin hot rod

  • how can i tell what my cars current color is?

if current color doesnt match the paint code

  • you apply the clearcoat after the basecoat has flashed. flashed means that it has released the solvents, not dried completely. you can usually clear after the basecoat flashes for 15 to 20 minutes

  • @sammy

if i spray a hood outside with 50 degree temp will the flash time be the same as it would be at 70 degrees? should i wait longer between coats.

  • the temperature definately affects your flash time. the cooler it is the longer it will take to flash. i'd give it another 10 to 15 minutes just to be sure

  • thanks sammy

  • when you smoke cigar ;)

  • can anyone tell me when to apply clear coat?

right after painting or wait till it dries?

  • only a couple of things i can say wtf about.1: a car spray job should only take a few hours. u can still have a great job and fast. and this guy has the fan set on the gun way too much!!!!!! fukinel. which causes more overspray than wanted. hes in a spray booth i sprayed cars in what some may call a big man built shed . it was fukin shit. but the job was allways done good. but fast. exspert vilage? sorry but it shouldnt take a "couple of days"

  • Lol they're taking "A couple of days" o spray a single stage paint. WTF? It doesn't even take a couple of days to spray a 3 stage job.. What a ripoff these guys are

  • Further, eHOW has one thing in mind- advertising revenues. They are not interested in giving you accurate, detailed information, but rather will post ANYTHING by ANYONE-- no matter what they leave out that is crucial to your project. Painters- beware.

  • Wow-- these are EXPERTS? If these guys are doing this DAY AFTER DAY- REGULARLY using highly toxic paint- WHERE THE HELL ARE THE FRESH AIR MASKS??? Carbon filter masks are good for VERY occasional painting only by hobbyists- if the owner of this shop is not giving his employees a fresh air system- he's responsible for the certain health problems they WILL get. Shame on them.

  • i only thing i dont understand is, why isnt the body preped more the is a black (old paint) but shouldnt the filler spots be primed or the whole car for that matter it seems like there was a missed step there and i may be wrong but the body before paint looks a little to shinny meaning that old paint was not preped enough, i would like to see a video with the finished product in direct sunlight i dont think that it would be so great

  • the black is not old paint... its the sealer coat.

  • hola imprecionante como brilla !!! soy de argentina quisiera saber como hago para pintar my ford F100 y que brille como tu car te agradeceria q me puedas ayudar Gracias tank you!

  • Hi, I'm Doug Douche

  • Im fucking sick of expert village, they have good videos but there so fucking short. Maby youtube should just delete all there videos and tell them to stop posting 2min videos..

  • um, when have you ever watched a "good" expert village video? I have yet to find one

  • @SkylineR034 why should they be long not everyone wants to watch a long video. some people just want to know how they do it withought them talking shit.

  • @spokes121 2years later and i still dont agree, 138k videos... seriously?

  • and some dust doesn't really matter since you can buff it out and over time when you wash your car it goes away.

  • going fast doesnt fuck up (but you may get dry spots - becarefull with that)...going fast so you wont get drips..

  • guys, how much does it cost for a full body re-spray, can any1 help ? thx

  • i can see dust in your paint , that booth must suck

  • gOING fAST MAKES mISTAKES dUMB fUK

  • Well you're the one who left your caps lock on.

  • holy fuck if you go visit the expert village channel they have uploaded 139000 videos

  • Man I hate these expert village videos...they divide one episode into 3 million pieces and don't label them.

  • Yeah, they do it for the ads. Maybe we should try to get the account deleted. : )

  • I really wish that was possible.

  • the most likely do that so you can find exactly what you want and not spend time looking through vids

  • @roykim78 experts of spam..

  • why are there bare spots , unsealed areas that you painted over ? Maaco dosen't cheat like that !!!

  • are single stages available in urethane's I thought urethane's are always 2 stage. if I use a single stage enamel with a hardener how long will it take to dry

  • Single Stage paints are also urethane. Basically there are three types of paint: enamel, acrylic enamel and urethane single stage systems are available.

  • whats better single stage urethane or 2 stage base coat clear coat

  • Base Clear is best. The clear offers you a layer of protection that single stage paints do not have. Also if you make a mistake it's easier to fix and to buff. Single stage paints are used by some restoration guys that I know because they want to duplicate the original look. FYI, I've been in collision repair for over 15 yrs now.

  • alsp it has a built in resperaitor with a sperate air hose that attaches to a face mask and the beauty is that it runs on 110 volt my storage place do sent have 220 watt plugs I was thinning of using a standard 50 gal air compressor hooked up to a generator but what if the generator quits half way thru

  • Question? anybody have any experience with a turbine type air compressor? I am thinking of buying a 4 stage type and shooting base coat clear coat urethane

  • What r u going to use it for You are very limited in what you can do with these systems If your refinishing a car just stick to gravity feed guns

  • yes the system comes with a gravity feed gun. I like the idea of continuous air flow without having to use a big air tank but I heard these systems can spray the paint too thick but a 4 stage supposedly sprays it thin

  • Definitely use a four stage along with a slow reducer..................the hot air tends to dry the paint to fast....................it can be done, you just gotta play around with the redcuer

  • Im doing a1966 VW right now in the original single stage l360 seeblau.(seablue). Its VERY important to go lite on the first pass. I wanted to cover the first time,,, and I got RUN city....

  • would have left the door open for a lil bit longer! still looks like it'll come out nice though

  • Why would you use single stage in a custom shop? It shouldn't even be in the building!! For those that dont know.. single sage mixes in the color with the clear. The problem with this is UV rays will rapidly beat down the pigment because there is no clear coat layer on top of the pigment layer to protect it. The end result is a really faded paint job 6 months after it's painted

If anyone wants some advice on painting their car I would be happy to answer any questions. Just shoot me a message.

  • Im not sure what single stage you use. BUT ive had MUCH better work from single than 2 stage. Problem is: clear WILL lift... And Ive never heard of UV protective clear...

  • Glasurit has a whole line of clears that offer UV protection. If single stage is so good why have all of the auto manufacturers gone to a base clear system? Do a search on the Glasurit website and you will see what I am referring to. Good luck repainting your VW in 6 months though.

  • probably because they are in Minnesota so not too much sun up there but a Question? do you have any experience with a turbine type air compressor? I am thinking of buying a 4 stage type and shooting base coat clear coat urethane I heard the old 2 stage were very bad but the 4 stage will do the job. i will also use an HVLP gravity feed gun

  • yes i agree why single stage?

  • Comment removed

  • is that a huge clump of dirt in the reflection of the booth light. and the gun distance is way to far. if you got closer you would be able to work faster and get less peel.

  • ok....?

  • how long do i let the first stage to dry? to start my next stage

  • There is only one stage in single stage. Hence "Single". Single stage means that the pigment (COLOR) is mixed in with the clearcoat. If you are asking how long to wait in-between coats it would depend on the enviroment you are spraying in (air temperature, airflow) and what Reducers(thinners) and Hardeners you are using. Some are made for hot enviroments so they dry slower than others and vice versa. Generally it's about 5-9 minuets in-between coats for me. Message me if you need any more help.

  • u can do mine if u want for a score

    £20 quid

  • u dont even know what im talking about u mug cunt

    u is any next wastemanz

  • mug us brits taught u yanks the fucking language thats why its called english and not yankish u silly lil mug go back and sniff on some paint finner or ur not a crackhead ur a painthead just put the airline in ya mouth

  • hi fuck doug

  • was he working from the side of the car to the middle? shouldn't you work from the middle to the side? I don't know how to paint a car but it seems like your gonna lean against that paint to get to the middle and ruin what you just did.

  • Doug must also have fun with the health people in his area. Why was the painter not wearing an air fed mask? Doesn't matter if it is base or clear, water or solvent based. All painters, not like what are in these vidoes, should wear one.

  • This booth has a minimum of 100 cfm of fresh, filtered air moving down and past the painter. That is a lot of air! So, the concentration of bad stuff is low enough that the charcoal filter can do its thing and keep him healthy. Hope this helps.

  • Might be a lot of air, but there is still residual contaminents left over. All painters should wear and air fed mask, gloves, spray suit... Pretty much cover the entire body so nothing gets on the skin. For a person putting up so many vidoes on 'How to....' the safety aspec is forgotten on most of them. I hope Doug has good insurance for himself and his employees.

  • doug just annoys me"HI IM DOUG" WE KNOW WHO U ARE URE ON EVERY VIDEO,!! ,.go make the tea and we"ll watch the pro at it..

  • Yep I agree!! Wats up wit dat.

  • thats bullshit! you should put 3 even coats! not put a light first coat on then put a heavy 2nd coat.

No matter what paint it is your should always apply it evenly

  • Your video are too short! I have to hear your introduction, your introduction, your introduction, your introduction, your introduction, your introduction....then you rush the one minute video.......????? How about one video.. 10 minutes... Thanks for the tips but no thanks to your one minute videos.

  • lmao this is such hackwork. look at the fucking bubbles toward the left the car at the end. what a bunch of fuckups

  • thst body looked wavy ass fuck looks like he painted over unpreped metal

  • someone want to chat

i liked this video :) aV

  • this dude is so proud of his 20 great guys, lol they must do a great finish lots of rubbing, lots spraying

  • that hot rod in the beginning so typical:(

  • im going 2 spray my minimoto fairings but i need 2 know what gose 1st the primer or the paint

  • 1st primer then paint

  • lose the sata noob and you need to be going closer and faster not suprised it looks crap how can he see with all that blowback sticking his eyes together

  • i agree with with rgishire , ppl are always craping on about how good the sata is , u can achive the same results if not better with an iwata or a devilbis gti pro ! i suppose if u are only a learner the sata may be best suited for urself.....

  • i agree, buying a sata is like buying a harley. at this point their overinflated prices are purely because of brand recognition, i have 2 gti s which i rarely use after getting an iwata LPH-400LV and its by far the best gun ive ever sprayed with

  • Holly cow it is not a wagner get up on that thing and put some paint on it "close and fast" And toss that sata and get u a Iwata and lay some glass on that sucker oh and U might wanna tell him to tack it first next time hate to cut all the rocks out of that quarter !!!

  • It's the first coat! tackie not full blast yet. Maybe you should show us how you do it! and we'll pick you apart...

  • If I showed U how to do it there would be nothing to pick apart sir. I am sure after about 20 hours of buffing your job will look nice though !

  • My paint jobs looks wet out of the gun! and yes we color sand and buff but not for 20 hrs. Show us your stuff! Mr. blank page...

  • I only paint about 15 a day and make over 100 k doing it !! U can keep your custom painting it sucks !!

  • You paint 15 cars a day? who do you work for Earl schives? O.K it's Mayco right! No custom shop and 100k in your dreams! I have met windbags like you and when you call them out this is what they say I make the big bucks! What ever!! At least I have something to show! and I have won many first places in custom car show's. So put that in your pipe and smoke it!

  • can i smoke it too?!

  • put up or shut up up dick head atleast hes helping people what the fuck have you done.

  • im sure you have. go get back on mommys titty little boy..

  • yep sure ya do go crawl back in your hole kid no one wants your NEGATIVE input as a matter of a fact no ones wants any input from you .

  • No wonder those hotrods fags waste so much money, a single stage paintjob takes 2 days to spray?!?!?

  • love the air hood... Obviously not worried about his health... must be fun having the clear coat blowing into your eyes and face... keep up the good work yanks...!

  • my nose hairs became 1 just from rattlecans =?

  • doug is really happy!

  • I had the same reaction!

  • what paint system you using?

  • is this guy scared of the clearcoat hes doubleing back which is what i do when im unsure if its gonna stick hope he lays it alot wetter on the second coat cause its easier to get dry spots that way nothin wrong with tackin the first but u gotta make up for it on the second

  • wow Gregory Grosvovanich is amazed well done

  • what basemaker r u using

  • what the thing called he is using to paint it

  • a paint gun

  • it's usually an "HVLP" gun High Volume low pressure.

  • excellent work and advice. thanks
