Im in the process of building a cove shocker, have purchased all the main items, frame, forks, wheels, etc, should be complete by the end of the year :-)
I was a bit unsure if my choice of colours would look good (black frame + white boxxer WC's), but after seeing yours I know I made the right decision !! Your bike is stunning :)
how do you find the performance of the boxxer world cup forks?
@pcuserx well it this video spec - not great. they have since been upgraded to a short saint rear which is well tucked up and away and schwalbe triple nano tyres, which rock! (and are tough as hell) - so yeah... if you can do it, so can the bike.
thanks! funnily enough i have done exactly that. since this was taken the bars have been adjusted properly, and i have rebuilt the brakes with straitline levers, forks have been TFT Push'd and I have Crank Brothers 50/50X pedals. I am also swapping between cut down wet screams and Maxxis DH F/R's. Fun fun fun!
@pcuserx hi, well... i am not entirely sure how much I paid. I built this up myself carefully buying and restoring 70% used parts to almost new condition. NEW prices... The frame with Vivid 5.1 (over here) is £2095, correct spring is £30, the equivalent forks are £1149 (£200 on tuning), the brakes are £320, levers £80, vented rotors £86 each, wheels £350, seat post £95, bars £75, headset £55, stem £70, grips £15, saint crank set £290,
@pcuserx ...pedals £80, tyres (pair) £60, rear derailleur £90, shifter £50, saddle £35, chain £25, cassette £30, chain device £110. So add it all up and you get £5390 (GBP).
@MrLemonhed ok so wen u buy the frame it doesnt have > (BRAKES,HANDLES, No 24Gear chain, no brakes/front/back, no seat,no petals,) and u pay for installation ? thx for replys
@pcuserx correct - you get exactly one frame and one shock. you buy everything else and build it yourself or pay a shop to do it. Usually if you are spending this much they will build it for free!
lol nice song choice
