I'm 1/4 canadian, been there a few times, father was born there. Spent some time in Ontario and Alberta and travelled across a few other provinces. Canada does not have the same governing system as Norway and there's a huge difference between the provinces. Also, Canada is part of the British Commonwealth. A large part of the population speaks French. Quebec wants to be an independent country. Therefore trying insert socialism will only be sort-of-socialism, not in comparison with Norway.

Norway has the second worst roads in Europe after Albania, the poorest country in Europe. The sosialist Norway dont invest in infrastructure, roads, schools, churches, farms and medieval buildings are slowly being damaged by time, the UNESCO listed Bryggen in Bergen is even sinking and is getting more and more distorted without getting the funds it needs. Most of the wealth in Norway is created in western Norway but the citys cant be reached without using ferries between the largest citys there.

I do agree with her on some points, open up to more competition between companies, to give us norwegians a option to choose and maybe prices on public transportation for instance, will go down and work more efficiently.

I like to pay taxes, and I think the services are very good. I also want high taxes on tobacco, alcohol and gas, they are not to be encouraged. I want a private alternative of the health care, but I don't want to remove or worsen the one we have now. I have never had problems with it.
Uhm. If you smoke, drink and drive, 70% of your expenses will be tax. There's lot of taxes tied in with traffic and fuel. 90% of the tobacco cost is tax, and something like 50% of the alcohol cost is tax. Most people consume these goods but for most of them again, it's voluntary. So she's presenting an image that is quite skewed.
@Lleanlleawrg I think she meant that the average tax for a person is around 75% something that i find realistic, For an example if you earn 2000 kr from your jobb the employer pays 18% in workertax. Then you get your personal tax that is around 36% for a person that have an average job. Then if he buy something for this he will probebly pay 25% in sales tax. If you can math that out you look at a number around 80%

@janibralle YES. We pay about 36% in tax on payday. But when you buy something at the store, you pay the 25% tax. And what is it? 61% in taxes. But if you smoke or drink alcohol, you pay a lot more in taxes.
@sirstander YES. The total tax-level in Norway is about 60%, and even higher if you buy alot of alcohol and tobacco. But, remember that we are talking about the total tax payed by a average worker. We don't pay tax when we are paying our house rent or loan, so the total amount of taxes depends of many things. It's not as easy to calculate as you might think ;-)

@Fanagutten arbeiderpartifolk har ofte bedre utdannelse enn frpfolk, og trenger man virkelig alle de pengene man tjener? har du tenkt på at penger går til veier, jernbane, skoler. Norge er faktisk bygget på skatter, i 1905 var det mye fattigdom i landet, men man bestemte seg etterhvert for at folk skulle gi, og de med mer skulle gi mer, men de får fortsatt beholde mer, det er ikke slik at alle beholder 100 000 av det de tjener, og resten går til staten.

Ting de rike vil ha, som banksikringsfond, som gjør at de får tilbake penger fra staten ved en eventuell konkurs, er det mindre sjanse for at de kan få om man bruker opp alle landets penger. Selv kommer jeg fra en familie hvor mine foreldre har bedre lønn en de fleste, det betyr ikke at de vil stemme høyre eller frp, de stemmer arbeiderpartiet, for da får de mer for det de gir til staten.

Er lur med pengene, slik jeg føler jeg og min familie er til tross for at det stemmes arbeiderpartiet, så er det ikke vanskelig å leve på få penger så man har råd til hobbyen sin. De som får null og niks av det de betaler kan umulig takke ja til alle tilbud staten gir dem (helsevesen, kollektivtrafikk og mye mer) og da er man ikke flink med pengene sine. I'm 1/4 canadian, been there a few times, father was born there. Spent some time in Ontario and Alberta and travelled across a few other provinces. Canada does not have the same governing system as Norway and there's a huge difference between the provinces. Also, Canada is part of the British Commonwealth. A large part of the population speaks French. Quebec wants to be an independent country. Therefore trying insert socialism will only be sort-of-socialism, not in comparison with Norway.

Norway has the second worst roads in Europe after Albania, the poorest country in Europe. The sosialist Norway dont invest in infrastructure, roads, schools, churches, farms and medieval buildings are slowly being damaged by time, the UNESCO listed Bryggen in Bergen is even sinking and is getting more and more distorted without getting the funds it needs. I like to pay taxes, and I think the services are very good. I also want high taxes on tobacco, alcohol and gas, they are not to be encouraged. Uhm. If you smoke, drink and drive, 70% of your expenses will be tax. There's lot of taxes tied in with traffic and fuel. 90% of the tobacco cost is tax, and something like 50% of the alcohol cost is tax. Most people consume these goods but for most of them again, it's voluntary. So she's presenting an image that is quite skewed.

Then you get your personal tax that is around 36% for a person that have an average job. Then if he buy something for this he will probebly pay 25% in sales tax. If you can math that out you look at a number around 80%

@sirstander YES. The total tax-level in Norway is about 60%, and even higher if you buy alot of alcohol and tobacco. But, remember that we are talking about the total tax payed by a average worker. We don't pay tax when we are paying our house rent or loan, so the total amount of taxes depends of many things. It's not as easy to calculate as you might think ;-)

@Fanagutten arbeiderpartifolk har ofte bedre utdannelse enn frpfolk, og trenger man virkelig alle de pengene man tjener? har du tenkt på at penger går til veier, jernbane, skoler. Norge er faktisk bygget på skatter, i 1905 var det mye fattigdom i landet, men man bestemte seg etterhvert for at folk skulle gi, og de med mer skulle gi mer, men de får fortsatt beholde mer, det er ikke slik at alle beholder 100 000 av det de tjener, og resten går til staten.

Siggerud skole har klasserom i brakker fordi skolen detter fra hverandre. Sosialister, skjønner dere ikke det at hvis dere tar mer og mer fra de rike så synker de rikes motivasjon til å jobbe? @airsoftsupportsnipe1 du klager over at det er ille mens du ikke skjønner at det blir værre? hadde vi hatt en blå regjering, slik kommunen er styrt både i Oslo og Ski kommune, ville flere skoler vært underbemmannet, du bor i en høyrekommune i et høyrefylke, og det er kommunen som styrer skolesystemet. Høyre løste fattigdomsproblemet i Oslo ved å senke fattigdomsgrensen. Den rødgrønne regjeringen er ikke perfekt, men den er mye bedre enn et alternativ som går ut på å putte pengene i egen lomme.

@Chillpadden Ja, Ski Kommune er styrt av Høyre. Jeg har mer til overs med FRP enn Høyre. Jeg vil at de som ikke gidder å jobbe, har vær så god å bare sitte der å råtne bort. Mange Sosialister vil hjelpe dem og kaste skattebetalerens penger over dem. Men de som IKKE KAN jobbe skal derimot få trygd. Høyre og FRP`s sin Økonomiske politikk er rotete, det er jeg enig i. Men jeg syntes det blir mye bedre om skolene får for mye enn for lite.

@Chillpadden Jeg er for flat skatt jeg.Norge hadde klart seg helt fint med 20% skatt p alle. Med tanke på alle Olje pengene vi har, Bilavgifter (Som FRP vil gjøre lavere). De som tjener mer er bedre utdannet, jobber mer og har i 9 av 10 tilfeller gjort mer med livet. Skal ikke dette lønne seg? I s fall så kan det være det samme. Du tjener like mye uansett. Da gidder ingen å jobbe, samfunnet mister ressurser og Landet går i dass. De som må betale lite skatt er missfornøyde med at andre tjener mer

Den vi har nå er i hverfall uansvarlig, så om vi får enda en, men som er den samme som før og i tillegg klarer å la de som jobber mer få mer. Skjønner du ikke at de som jobber mer skal ha mer eller? Ting de rike vil ha, som banksikringsfond, som gjør at de får tilbake penger fra staten ved en eventuell konkurs, er det mindre sjanse for at de kan få om man bruker opp alle landets penger. Selv kommer jeg fra en familie hvor mine foreldre har bedre lønn en de fleste, det betyr ikke at de vil stemme høyre eller frp, de stemmer arbeiderpartiet, for da får de mer for det de gir til staten.

Er lur med pengene, slik jeg føler jeg og min familie er til tross for at det stemmes arbeiderpartiet, så er det ikke vanskelig å leve på få penger så man har råd til hobbyen sin. De som får null og niks av det de betaler kan umulig takke ja til alle tilbud staten gir dem (helsevesen, kollektivtrafikk og mye mer) og da er man ikke flink med pengene sine. Norge detter ikke sammen, men blir dårligere enn det er.

Alt dette blir dyttet på oss som om det var påbudt. Er det ikke da bedre om man betaler 20% skatt og så da betaler Kollektivtrafikk og eventuellt sykehus regninger etter ønske? ta for eksempel: "Veteran bil mekking". @Chillpadden Jeg er for en Regjering hvor Høyre og FRP styrer, Best of both worlds med andre ord. Nå har vi fått elendig økonomisk politikk og helt jævlig asyl politikk. Med Høyre og FrP så får vi Høyre sin gode Økonomi og FrP sin geniale Asyl politikk. Jeg er for uføretrygd, men den må begrenses veldig. Hvis man får penger uansett så gidder jo ingen å jobbe. Du ser jo dette også på disse somalierne nedover grønnlands gata i Oslo, som står der og ikke prater et ord Norsk og vil ha mer trygd.

We receive directly or indirectly all that cash back again through medical care, benefits and welfare. I work in the social benefit company of Norway, and yes, this is a part of that bureaucracy she's talking about. She wants me out of my job and close down the company, insert privatized services instead.

Inviting Siv Jensen and taking her seriously is like inviting Glenn Beck treating him like he has anything worthwhile to say. Either "The Agenda" is a ridiculous program, or the researchers for the show needs to be replaced.
The things she says are DIRECT LIES. Esp. regarding taxes. Sweden elected the current government on the promise of getting tax pressure DOWN TO THE LEVEL OF NORWAY (which is hovering just below 40%, on average, by the way).

Start at the reforms happening in Europe in the early 19th century, and understand that socialism was a huge part of a movement that started as a broad front against laissez faire-like capitalism that was running increasingly rampant ever since Europe migrated away from feudalism. No, they very much are social democracies, it's just that compared to most countries, there exists heavy socialistic tendencies (sadly decreasingly so) in these countries. The salient point here, though, is that socialism is a much larger construct than you can ever imagine. Like I said, it's a large movement, and we're living in a world where socialism found it's place. Strands of socialistic ideology has turned out to be non-functioning in some implementations, yes. How can people in Canada believe everything is so good in Norway? We have bad roads. Poor schools with old worn-out textbooks. Very poor health care. Most people must fight for their rights, and not everybody gets them. Old people and chronically ill children are treated very badly. Norway is the only country in Europe that do not have a children's hospital, level of 60-70 century. You are welcome to come here to try our system and I would imagine you travel back home soon.

She might have forgotten that the highest tax pay by any person in Norway is 49%. How is it possible thet the evarege income tax is 50%?

@nurithetiger First of all: the majority didn't vote for the socialists. And second; we pay a lot of consumption taxes. Food, clothes, services etc. 25% tax on services and non-food artiles is pretty high.
The party itself isn't racist, there's nothing in their official platform that indicates so. However, they have that rumor on them, and it obviously attracts a certain type of supporters. The socialists may be the "good guys", but they've obviously failed the immigration/integration issue.
